Hi, you commented on my comment about flying with an EA81. Thanks for the feedback by the way. You said to use cast iron rings, were you referring to the EA81 or the more current motors that were discussed in that video? Thanks again, appreciated any advice.
EJ251 Subaru actually any 2.5 Subaru. Since the 2.2 engines didn't have oil usage issues my guess is they changed rings around 1998. They don't seat. You can dump scouring powder into the intake while running, then flush with diesel or kerosene if you're not overhauling the engine.
I'm not sure I understand. This video refers to a rotary engine. A VW Golf at 80 PSI? That amount of boost is not achievable. Manual transmission? Engine is turning over 4k at 140km/hr? From the limited information I gather it's probably an automatic transmission that's slipping. Could you give more info?
@@murphystreeter golf 5 2008 manual transmission 5 gear . 1.4 patrol engine. My question is . When I drive 120 km in 5th gear my rpm goes over 3800 and 140 km rpm 4200
How long have you been driving it? With a manual transmission you generally won't have "slip" in overdrive without having slip in lower gears. If it feels like it's not accelerating but the tach (rpm) climbs that's clutch slip. You should order the entire kit (clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing). If it's not slipping and it's just low geared then taller tires I guess. With the "patrol" engine my guess is the clutch may be burned.

@@murphystreeter Thanks! Have a great holiday, if so inclined.
Hey I got the same problem, but like my ratio AF is good.. and when I Clutch in, I can go Up to the redline
I have an fd 1992
Fkng computers
I would definitely check that aux oil pump/position detector
@@murphystreeter Alright ! But yeah ahaha thx for guiding me, it happens when the westgate open ahahah Im gonna check that but you gave me some ideas
Check those port sliders too. They get sludgy and don't want to open
*sighs I hope this works*
What kind of ignition? 12A?? 4bbl??
Hi , I drive VW Golf 5 1.4 patrol engine and 80 ps . My RPM goes over 4000 when I am at 140 km . Is it normal?
Thanks.

Does this work for 12a?
No the 6 port 13B has the port blocks.
Is your 12A giving you troubles?
Yes, my 12a is being a pain currently, it won't rev past 4k unless I'm going down hill and full throttle sputters
What kind of ignition is on this engine?
Well it's a carborated engine with a distributor original coils, new wires and original plugs
