Carry a whistle & bear spray , don't let your pup too far off-leash, God forbid you should startle a Mama bear & cubs . Beautiful falls - I think the sign meant allow 1 hour for a full there and back hike (i.e. return trip).
Could be! I'm not sure why it would n't have said "round trip" or "allow one hour for hike" or something like that. But they didn't ask me for help with wording. 😂 -J
Yea! Your back.
In full swing!! -J
@@OpenRoading Glad to hear from you again. Happy Birthday to Kalyn. Ready for the next level? 2 videos a week. (just wishing)
Hahahaha....no. 😂 -J
Please be careful. Grizzly bears are so violent, one swing, and they can actually decapitate a full-grown man. Sometimes even bear spray doesn't stop a charge from a angry bear. Do not hesitate to spray if a bear gets anywhere close send it down wind toward them. Great views 👏 the falls where gorgeous. 😊
They are pretty powerful and fast! -J
We stopped at Testa River Lodge and tried their cinnamon buns. To us they were the best and we tried many places that claimed they had the best cinnamon buns. They all were good but the Testa River Lodge were the best to us. When you hike, please have Bear spray in your hand ready to go. Unless I missed it I did not see that you had some. Also, Trinity warned you that there was something not right. I really think she sensed bear or moose. Heed her warnings. Can’t wait for your next video adventure. God bless you and stay safe.❤️🐾🙏
We honestly keep forgetting to pick up bear spray!!! 🐻 Every time we stop we're like "remember bear spray!" then we forget. Sigh! We'll get it soon!!!
And I'm glad we got the BEST buns on the whole trip! Lucky us!! -J
Can you guys adopt me too? I'll sit quietly in the back seat! 😅
Haha. It took Trinity a lot to convince me so you're work is cut out for you! -J
Hi guys , as a full-time nomad off-grid guy. I can give you some potentially life-saving advice when you're in the Alaskan bush . Carry a whistle & bear spray , don't let your pup too far off-leash, God forbid you should startle a Mama bear & cubs . But there are other unforseen dangers lurking , those trash piles and landfill are a host to animals , rodents , snakes etc... be safe out there 😅.
Thanks so much. Bear spray has been on our shopping list we just keep forgetting it. And yeah, we haven’t let Trinity off leash at all up here. -J
They are Stones Sheep.
Happy Birthday.
I felt your pain missing the yummy cinnamon rolls. My big sensitivity is soy so I experience missing out too. I can see that you take it in stride for the most part BUT there are still times…🤤 Glad you had a great birthday 🥳
Happy belated birthday!🎉
You call it a dump.
Id stay there untill every last bit of food, water beer......what an awsome spot
Haha! Well you'll find it right after the suspension bridge! -J
After seeing your partner's rig, all I have to say is.............GET MORE SOLAR PANELS! BTW, Got your postcard from Chitina last week. TYVM!
Haha! Would be nice right! We have a long range plan that includes more solar on this rig or a different one, but it's not something we can do right away. 🙂 -J
Happy birthday!!! 🎂
How are the ticks? Everything looks so amazing.
Happy Birthday!!
I gotta know what camera and zoom lens you’re using those photos. Thanks for another great video.
Sony A7III and the zoom lens is (I think...this belongs to WildRVLife) a Sigma 150-600mm telephoto:
I will say that I was VERY impressed with the stabilization of the lens. Kalyn and I haven't been too impressed with the stabilization of the A7III but I was shocked at how smooth we were able to shoot with that lens zoomed in 3/4 of the way. I expected most of the video to be unusable simply because I do not have a steady hand. 😂 -J
