- I thought I was just going to get away with a new head gasket, boy was I wrong... What the heck Cummins? I thought these motors last a million miles?
In all honesty, I doubt ANY rollback over 200k has had an easy life...

You know you want to see me break all my stuff
Man I love being able to just watch you figure shit out. I end up learning a bunch every viddy.
I love motivating people just to do stuff! If someone made it, you can take it apart!
This must be the guy who worked on my trucks before me 😂😂 so funny watching you just get it done with a whatever attitude
😂its very addictive, i do that now
You are definitely one of my favorite youtubers right now, love these videos once I watched all your new ones I had to come back to the old ones
Another great video. I admire how you dive into these problems with no fear. I guess that’s that “Get’er done” attitude.
snitches get their gas siphoned, and i just felt it when you started smacking the truck with the impact. sometimes anger gets the best of us all
Hey, im from new mexico and I lasted 2.5 minutes one time! Also snitches have unfortunate things happen to them because of their negativity. Karma is a bitch.
We are along for the ride!
Colin, you were one of the smartest students I had.
Mr. White
This makes me feel slightly better about my 6.0 F550
Atleast no one is saying you cant kill a 6.0h LOL, those dodge boys say you can't kill a cummins, I reckon they say that since it outlasts the shipping container/truck body/frame.
@@PatrickBaptistive never liked cummins, but one thing ive learned is you cant kill a 7.3 powerstroke, i mean you can but it would take a whole lot of stupidity and neglect
sounds like I need a seven.tree ...
@@steinfabgarage I happened to have one for sale: 1995 7.3 + banks turbo system F350 dually, barely broken in at 140k miles.
@@steinfabgarageif you want something unkillable, snag a 6.9 idi. Those things are invincible, as long as you're okay with a 0-60 of a presidential term.
If you get a 24V block, and it's a "53" block (look for a cast in number on the driver's side) check the passenger's side for CRACKS under the core plugs.
Not all of them crack, mine has 435,000 miles on it, but a lot of them do crack there.
You could part it out dude. That P pump is worth cash on eBay. Best part of the engine. And with all these DEF regs, older non Def engines are going up in value.
You have a good attitude and channel very informative.
Seems like you're a much better mechanic than I am but everyone tells me it's a bad idea to break loose stuck fasteners with the ratcheting end of a wrench
Appreciate ya bud
Even tho engine is in bad shape I’m sure ur having a fuel issue. They normally run perfectly until they blow into pieces
24v has different pistons.
Main problem was probably fuel filter or strainer or lift pump need to check fuel pressure
And shut off solenoid
I wonder if it's a fuel leak, you said it run fine recently and now it's not
When will you wire up the lights
Ah no way man, you can't kill a cummins, they never ever die no matter what, you don't need a headgasket, just feed it some ether. Just playin sir, first time viewer, enjoyed it.
You do calls for allied dispatch solutions or agero?
Another channel (project farm) did a comparison and proved that stuff like PB blaster or WD40 those sprays don't really penetrate the threads they are a waste.
Oh man please don't reuse head bolts, specially not in a diesel, when the break off it will be a nightmare getting that hardened bolt back out.
Funny I bought those same shop lights for my garage and also my covered porch, they are really bright, a year later they ALL still work just like new, none are burned out and dont flicker, they were so cheap Im shocked.
Nahh I don't do calls. My only complaint on the lights is ive has a few switches burn out, BUT it does say not to link more than 3, and I linked them all haha
Killer content, keep it up 👌
One thing with a diesel is never ever get them hot! it does far more damage on a diesel then it does on a gas engine. You really don't even want your cummins to run at the middle of the temp gauge, it should sit just before half even hogging on it while towing. Seeing how your coolant looked and all the rust built up on the engine fittings, coolant is probably your heat problem.
The haze at cold start is a common thing with bad injectors (very cheap fix on the 12valve and early 24valves). My 24 valves injectors only cost me 650 Canadian to get them rebuilt, so more then likely cheaper for you. 24 valve generally get far better fuel economy then the p pump 12 valves. Hope this info is useful to you.
I thought it was a transmission cooler am I wrong or is it different on a 98 ram 1500 sport 5.2 gasser
New subscriber here!
I do believe snitches get dissolvable dermal fasteners caused by blunt force trauma.
I’ll ask about your light this week!
Thanks man, I mentioned it in the video since you never text me back 💔
DO THE KILLER DOWEL PIN FIX whether you swap the motor or fix this one.
yes
Damn, well sucks but hey you almost just slid a head gasket in there and never checked the cylinders… good thing you did right? And lmao the rain said “oh facts you’re pulling a head? Hell ya 1 sec i gotchu”
I didn’t want to look, ignorance is bliss. Now I have to fix it correctly lol
Could dig into that cylinder and see whats causing it? Maybe something smaller like injector seals or something. Could pull the piston and dingleball hone the cylinder and call it day. Vs buying totally new motor. Idk. Would hate to have to see u buy a new motor when it could be something smaller. Given the cylinder is salvageable
Just starting. Still jealous of the roll back.
It was nice when it worked haha
Just finished the video. Oh man. A whole motor. That's cars. @@steinfabgarage
I could tell before you even tore it appart that engine was toast.
Well, Mr. White knows a thing or two about snitches Colin.
Awesome video
That was a good video really enjoyed it
Thank you!!
Hey I’m also from New Mexico, I was wondering if you had a 1GR motor (good condition) for a 4th gen 4 runner I could buy from you possibly
Why change the entire engine? I think u can change out the piston, rings and liner on that cylinder and keep going.
how did you learn all this stuff
Bought a 240sx at 15, instantly broke it, got a job at a machine shop for 10$/hr so I could rebuild my motor for cheap
You should really use a scope so you dont wast time lol you may be better off rebuilding that engine getting it bored might get away with honing that cylinder i dowt it but a rebuild mught be the cheapest way those 12v are pricey!!!! Good luck!!!!!
Now why did you go on break the plastic on the firewall I can literally take those windshield wipers off in 2 seconds just lift it up pull the tabs the blades come right off no need to take anger out on the poor truck
It made sense to me at the time
Where’s the next episode?
Right now!
NEW VID LETS GOOOOO
Awesome video, really enjoyed it. It sucks when some fucking bottom feeding scumbag calls code enforcement on you for no fucking reason. That happened to me one time, the other times it was code enforcement doing a bullshit sweep looking for things to cite for. LOL at the cowl panel mod, I completely lose my shit and do stuff like that too sometimes.
TBH I think the second gen dodge is a POS, so Im not worries about breaking it, I bought it for the engine and rollback :)
Start using rock auto for parts bro. So much cheaper than store...better parts. The stuff on ebay and amazon is hit or miss for counterfeit china crap. Especially coils, plugs anything electronic on engine (sensors).
I do like your truck tho
Watching you makes me feel dumb. I could never remember how to reassemble all those parts.
You can do it! I literally always forget how stuff goes together (since I have 3-5 cars apart at once) and somehow figure it out lol
Kano kroil is your friend look it up
dirty dodge
A H 😉
Snitches end up ... In a body bag...
Dude you are kinda adhd breaking shit to get a push rod chill
Check the fuel line 😁
