you gotta turn the key to the left and hold it to warm the glow plugs before cranking it. your seat cover was replaced and they didnt install the 2 grommets thats why it fills up with water.
Haha such a good feeling fixing dreadful shit like that. Nice man. And finding/ordering parts for that sounds terrible lmao im surprised they are so hard to find since it seems like a common piece of equipment that a lotta people have
You don’t leave glow plugs on while running…. I’d be surprised if any of them are still good at all just from what I’ve seen you leave that switch on :/ - is it always making white smoke at idle or only cold? White is either coolant or fuel (smells like sweet coolant, burns your eyes and smells like fuel it’s fuel lol😂)
I always forget them on 🙄, I need to Un do that wire job and go back to the factory relay. And get new glow plugs lol. Lemme go stick my face in the exhaust, hang on…
@@steinfabgarage or if the factory bits really are pooched, just get a momentary instead of a toggle. lol and you don’t need to go full huff the exhaust mode ;) a quick whiff will do. Raw fuel smell could be a loooot of things, including bad timing... Coolant is pretty much just the head gasket. My 6.9 powered ford has the same fuel return system, it’s a big pain for getting air in it and causing hard starts. I honestly don’t know a lot about those Perkins engines…but some can run, poorly, with the timing 180* out, the IP timed exactly opposite, and that causes a lot of raw fuel in the exhaust.
But you get similar symptoms when it’s too advanced or too retarded… basically not getting good ignition because it’s not injecting when the cylinder pressure and thus air is hot enough.
Really glad you got it to start waaaaay easier and it's such a nice machine. I'm enjoying your skid steer videos a lot!
Me too! I was just at my buddy’s shop, and he said to tweak it a little more cause of our altitude (we’re at 7,000 ft)
New diesel cap, I feel ya!!
Well done my good Sir!

That’s what I thought, but most of them have kubotas from what I understand. The 751 was only 1996-1999. So the Peugeot is rare
Yeah damn. Well whatever! You figured it out haha and if u ever mess with a kubota then itll prob be way easier!!
WD-40 work great for starting fluid and it doesn't hurt your diesel motor
Those XUD's are pretty reliable until some so called mechanics start to mess around with settings
AGREED! I’m not exactly qualified, and I’m waaay more qualified than whoever touched this before me…
Nice job!!! Hey can you do a video on a Subaru Dohc timing belt replacement
I don’t work on many dohc ejs. I stayed away from the turbos, where I live everyone wants a NA 🤷🏻♂️
That is so easy!
@ 0:06 is that a green 2 door 1997-2002 Corolla or Camry?

It’s kinda blue imo… I think it’s oil. Doesn’t smell like coolant, I didn’t do the open eye burn test I was scared
