Beginner here! I have had this lens for a couple weeks now, I was looking for a rundown of what I had bought and found this video. Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for.
Just added sigma 16mm, canon 50mm 1.8, 30mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8. To my lens collection. Only had kit lens & ttartisian 35mm 1.4. Love watching your videos especially on the m50. Definitely thinking about upgrading in the future, but i feel that i have so much more to learn about my m50 especially with the new lens. Keep up with the great videos!!! P.s do you still use the m50?
Love your videos, thanks! I haven't bought my EOS R10 yet, but this will be my first lens upgrade when I do. My dream RF lenses to own are the 50mm f1.8, 28mm f2.8, 100-400mm f5.6-8, and the s10-188mm f4.5-6.3. What do you think about those lenses to cover all basis? I really want a good telephoto (but not spend $3000) because I want to shoot wildlife, birds, distant landscapes etc. I also love shooting macro flowers/foliage etc. My other interests are wide-angle scapes, cityscapes, eventscapes such as music festivals, and also some indoor low-light work at music clubs etc. Not so much portrait, but I'll dabble in that too. My computer died, so I've had to invest in a new one of those and this has put my photography ambitions on hold for a bit. This will give me even more time to do more research! Re the EOS R10, I've researched A LOT of cameras, and I'm happy that it will be the best option for my needs and budget (some videography as well). I've always LOVED photography and can't wait to have some real equipment! For me it will be a hobby, with some potential semi-pro work for musician friends of mine. Anyway, would love your feedback on my lens choices and if you have other recommendations, thanks!
Hey, thanks for watching! Honestly I'm not too educated on the zoom lens side of things. I do want to get into it more but, I don't have any strong opinions on zoom lenses yet. I really like the Canon 50mm F1.8 RF and I'm also using the Canon 24mm F1.8 RF. I'm very excited to try out some Sigma RF lenses like the 18-50mm F2.8 and of course there F1.4 prime lens line up. Hope this helps!
@@AndrewKnepper1 g ot some projects, and i am lucky becouse i moved to fullframe ecosystem, bcause i met dffcult stiuation at the loaction tht i will not survive if i still use my m50. till now, i still love canon
Awesome video brother...hows the rf glass in comparison to the ef 50mm...ef 50mm is nice especially for portraits..and are you gonna adaptt the 24mm for it also?
I may do a comparison video between the EF and RF version in the future. I sold the 24mm EF and I actually have the RF version I'm going to review later this year!

Just picked up an r50 few weeks ago, my first camera, and looks like this will be my first upgrade. This is helpful!
Great setup! You'll be impressed with what you can achieve with the 50mm!
Nice review, Andrew! Great info and shots! 👏
Thank you!
I love my 50 on my M50. I use a Viltrox Speed Booster and it does soften the picture but boosts lowlight use. Really good background blur.
Thanks! Going to go out and buy one. 🎉
Nice!

Well I don't use my M50 much but it definitely is fun to pick up time to time! It's still a great, fun, portable camera that gets the job done!
@@AndrewKnepper gotcha! Thanks for the reply! 🔥🔥 keep up the great work! 🤙

welcome to RF mount, d u still have the m6?
Yes sir! Still love that camera and until Canon comes out with a new compact camera I don't see myself getting rid of that anytime soon!

Works for street photography?
Yes it works pretty good for street photography!
Hey could I vlog with this lens on r50 ?
No, the focal distance is way to zoomed in. I would recommend the 16mm RF lens for vlogging or the kit lens!
@@AndrewKnepper ok I was looking to get both the 50mm and 16mm one for vlogging and the other one for photography. Thanks 😊
