Worst scammers are Wigfrids, they start out giving helms for free, and at some point they ask for gold, then is gold amd rocks, then they start asking for other stuff like bigger weapons, meat, foods, and at the end they ask you to call them mommy in the voice chat and ask for "helmies pwease UwU" like the good kittens we are.
Frost jaw is not a scammer, he gives you infinit range and instant travel with no cool down as long as the place you want tou teleport to is near a body of water, It's realy helpful if your base is far from a point of intrest (like Pearl's Island or moonquay isle) or any biome since the dst overworld is just a big island surrounded by water You can even use it to get back to your base if you build it near water (which will most likely be the case) by using a grass boat and all of that for the price of a single medium size ocean fish (you get 2 if the fish is large) The only reason why people don't like him is because he is hard to find He may be bad but he is not a scammer (I am aware that you don't/didn't have any experience with the dst traders but I needed to correct this injustice)
@@Pock4855 it don't matter where he is, all that matters is where your base is. He was actually very helpful on my world to travel to Pearl's and mounquay Isle since my base was basically at the other en of the map
Idk if antlion is a trader, but he exchange trinkets for desert rock, which can be used to craft lazy deserter, and also be used as portative TP point to it. But he straight up destroys all around you at some point in summer, so he probably a scammer. And also catcoons. They exchange trash as sticks, grass, petals to like gold, electrical dodats, moleworms, birds, rabits and other stuff. But catcoons are random, and has cooldown.
@@polarlotus That's ok. Antlion trades if playing solo is practically useless. And not everyone ever trade with catcoons because their goods vary greatly
sad i missed this haha Merm king trades are kinda bad but having tons of seeds and possibly tentacle spots is nice just by making lots of merms and have merm fights like u would with webber and spiders
Hay I don’t play hamlet very much but a shopkeeper got stuck and I had to kill them because I couldn’t push them free they respawn in stores or do I have to destroy the whole building and make a new one I tried looking up the answer, but nobody has any answer to give me
@@polarlotus I hope they respawn I enjoy playing the original game before the mega patch But I’m very confused because I waited around 15 days and they haven’t respawned
I didn't include the gorge since its a LTE thats (probably) never coming back to the main game, at the time of recording this too I was just getting into DST (I've been pretty much exclusively a DS player until recently) so I didn't know much about the gorge
Just so you know, the merm King IS BETTER than the pig king, he gives gold for fish depending on the size AND other swamp related drops as a bonus including tentacle spots, you need a wurt in the world to access it, but all players can trade with him
Fair enough, I still haven’t fully tested around with the merm king yet so im not very well versed in the ways of the merm I’m sure theres some pretty good fish farming tactics that exist, but isn’t meat/eggs technically still more farmable en-mass?(for PK gold)
@@polarlotus actually no, once you have access to the lunar portal, and thus to swapping characters without losing your world, you can get hundred of fish in mere seconds using wikerbotom , you build a 1 tile pond in the ocean using docks, spawn a bunch of fish inside with wikerbotoms book , and blow up everything out of the water in one swoop with a canon, you don't even need a fishing rod, is cheap and broken levels of efficient, much more than any meat farm , then you go to the merm king and you'll have more gold than you will ever need, and like you don't even need a friend to do it xd
@@polarlotus If you don't want to change characters for any reason then yeah the pig king is you go to source of gold , but the swapping of character is an intended game mechanic the same as connecting world from different dlc, and with that you get so much more and much quickly using the merm king , swapping characters is broken not gonna lie, but I'm not Klein do decide how to balance the game

Sounds like a steal for me
The wigs don't understand... I have dreadstone... I ve just been doing this to make sure they don't get sad
Now that's a good deal
What the fuck?
That's oddly specific
Care to elaborate
merm king = fish gives trinkets
pig king = trinkets gives gold

Antlion is also necessary to access all the (poorly implemented) content of the collab with Cult of the Lamb
The trade-in guy deserves to go to the shadow realm.
We need to make DST great again
I think that warly is the best trader. You trade him ingredients and bones, you get food.
Hail the chef. You will have everything you seek and more
No way a heart on my comment
the absolute worst trader is Walter; he takes your marble and gives you his freaking corpse
I litteraly always base on slot machine island, I just spam all the coins I can find into that bad boy.
What about antlion? You can trade with him.

What are your thoughts on catcoon trades?
I’ll be totally honest I just learned those were in the game today
What a about pearls bottle exchange
I covered that, although the DST traders were covered by chat info, since at the time I was just a solo DS player and not fully into DST
Does that mean you count yourself as a DST player, Polar? You'd betray DS just because DST is better? I'm disappointed in you.
