something a lot of mods do is make peanut fire a lot of inaccurate projectiles so you can get a lot of damage with it but you need to plant it At the front to achieve that and that's pretty cool
Homing Thistle being low down honestly makes me happy because it's a very fun plant that I don't have to feel guilty for using because it's not a victim of powercreep hell like so many others I love my funny little cattail alternative...
Other important note about Shrinking Violet: Its PF hits every zombie on- and off-screen. One PF on the final wave, and every zombie will be entering in tiny and lacking in critters/imps.
honestly a pretty fun video, don't be afraid to do more of these (unless you hate making these). seeing the logic behind the placement of each choice was neat
Pretty good tier list. Even in terms of leveling, penny pursuit and arena. But some plants from here my change places. Especially peanut and fire pea might go higher forst one because of arena synergies and second because of insane damage buff with splash on leveling , but kiwibeast , jalapeno and sapfling might go lower. First one because zombies have much higher bite damage in those mods so kiwi beast dies very fast, jalapeno is outclassed by almost all instas especially considering how insane chillie pepper is and sapfling will go lower because stalling isn't always that useful in those gamemods.
I love the gemium plants so much because they reminds me so much of the golden era of pvz2. Also lava guava is my favorite. Also Sweet Potato used to cost 300 sun instead of 150, which makes her so much worse than she already was

Homing Thistle apparently for what I heard from Eclise and other modding experience, is an completely awful plant to balance. That rather is massively overpowered or underpowered on quite stupid ways. In fact, even Cattail from Reflourished caused much less controversy. Is something quite weird honestly, I never heard about a plant with such traits, specially considering Cattail.

Leveling fire peashooter is really cool it gets an ever increasing chance that any pea it shoots will be a napalm pea. Not related but, in zen garden, fire peashooter turns into a regular peashooter when watered.
Side note regarding viability of Blover strategies in Arena: I think a couple of years ago, it was banned very often, but for the last year or so, it's been allowed in more tournaments so Blover strategies can work more often, and end up being the highest scoring strategy a good amount ot times. Most of the time, higher level Blover strategies just rely on Chardguard in C9 to fling zombies upward. However, there are also many zombies that would directly prevent such a Blover strategy from working, or certain mechanics (such as the current Bombegranate tournament, which has catapult zombie that crushes Chardguards, Torch Zombies that instantly burn them, and respawning graves that push Chardguards all over the place).
Fire pea definitely does have good leveling. Mine is level 3 and it already deals as much DPS as my level 5 repeater, so there's definitely a higher upgrade curve going on here. Fire seed packets are also really easy to get thanks to the pea bundle, which also includes Electric Peashooter and Snow Pea for those who have it.
I reccomend homing thistle for far future, as long as you can deal with the shield robots, homing thistle's plant food gets close to board wiping when there are 2 of them on a power tile of the same color
Friendly reminder that Ghost Pepper ignores most zombie attacks. You can place her in a horde & she'll attack in several tiles front & behind her before exploding & finishing off any remaining zombies in her lane & the ones above & below her.
Well, one problem with Squash is that its AI is really bad, since it always targets the zombies closest to the house. I cannot tell you how many times I had Squash destroy a group of coneheads instead of an Octo Zombie or Knight
Leveled squash is absolutely villainous. You could instakill a line of as many gargs as you want with a hurrikale and a squash, which will squash them up to I think 3 whole times. Of course only two are necessary, but that’s insane.
Homing Thistle really deserves to have a melee attack akin to Endurian, but maybe with less health. It wouldn’t make it insane, but at least you’d have some reason to actually pick it.
I remember Hypno Shroom, Pea-Nut, Squash and Jalapeño costed money, and I remember I purchased Hypno Shroom 囧 (I was 10 and I liked the plant, I still like it tho)

I've actually used peanut to great success in a strat with citron, spikerock and pyre vine. I've also built a strat around ultomato with sweet potato
