How good was Wilson Pickett!!! He could get a graveyard rocking...in the midnight hour
Ire
Yes sir, I was lucky to have interviewed him once.
#AlrightMan👣👣😍👍👍🏼😎👀👀
😂😂😂😂yes he could.
I absolutely adore this man. Wilson taught me to dance and Otis taught me to hurt and Sam Cooke how to hope and James how to feel. Ray Charles' true sons of soul.
Absolutely
ะช
That’s spot on, baby.
Absolutely,oh hell yeah!!!❤❤❤
What a pair, you can see the admiration on the face of Springsteen for Wilson Pickett.
Wilson Picket totally owned the stage as only he could do. The more I watch this performance the more I am in awe of the mans soul and ability. RIP Wilson Picket you were without question one of the greats.
Not often Springsteen is shown up. This was one time. Maybe not his key....
This is when these awards shows still had class and real talented artists perform.
The wicked, wicked Pickett. That great voice was always rough as sandpaper, so getting older hasn't hurt it any.
The R & R Hall of Fame is kind of a white elephant but the jams at the induction dinners are great.
Wilson was an amazing talent. There’s no voice that can even compare to the depths he sang from.
The Wicked Pickett definitely the BOSS! Give Bruce credit for courage for even getting on a stage with Wilson.
lol
right....pretty sure you've never watched or attended any of Springsteen's concerts
Wilson would have passed out at about the halfway point....
Its very rare Bruce gets overshadowed but this is one of those times
Springsteen knows it and doesn’t mind a bit
Bruce Springsteen still does it for me!!! Great song...good to hear Wilson again! THANKS!
Wilson Pickett looks good, thank you Boss, for your grace and humility. You're beautiful.
I remember this, it's great to see it again. Wilson Pickett was such an amazing singer and performer and he poured his soul out Everytime he got on stage Bruce and the band did a great job aside him too. Wonderful rendition of the song. I'm glad Wilson finally got to perform what he missed doing at his own Induction all those years ago. He did a fantastic job. Rest in peace Wilson.
God ! The rust in the voice with the honey kind of voice, beautiful combo.
Wow what a jam session with Wilson Pickett singing his classic song, one of the best to get off the bench a rock and roll dance.
Wilson Pickett looks and sounds really great here. Wilson knew that this was not Bruce's domain; thus he was very generous. High marks to Bruce for effort. I enjoyed it.
Wasn't Bruce's domain?
Bruce knows how to respect the older ones... Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil.
Wilson is wicked and the band is tight!!!
RIP Wilson Pickett. Great performance @ the House of Blues, Chicago!
I think they both sound very good together. They seem to accent the song, so people
will see & remember what a top shelf song that was. Everybody always loved dancing to
it years ago. But it is good enough to be a classic for eons to come!
Oh my gosh. Bruce and Wilson. The Midnight Hour. You can’t get better than this. I’m 83 and wish I could do more than tap my feet. Me and my husband who passed used to dance. God bless us all in America!!
He was so young when he died. 64. RIP.
Wilson Picket is the man!
The E Street Band was one helluva unit
A bunch of superb musicians who seem to love every single minute on the stage.
Yeah but stupid Bruce Springsteen to a stupid liberal Socialist Communist deep state criminal Democrat idiot! He turned to a stipid dumb Socialist Communist idiot! That hates Donald Trump and America because he was brainwashed by The Osama and Hitler Hillary! That sold uranium to the Russians for $150 million dollars! And Donald Trump is being investigated? Those two socialist liberal deep state communist Democrat dictators they should be investigated! For selling our uranium to the Russians and for selling out America!
Kenneth Halley BORN IN THE USA.....HAHA......ASSHOLE
Fuck! Wilson Picketts voice just consumes everything. Amazing performer. He bossed The Boss!
Saw him in Seattle in 2004---was damn good---security asked me to settle down--ha ha !!!
As great as Bruce is (and he is GREAT), he sure knows how to pay his respects to a legend when he sees one !! Great stuff !!
Springstein Blows! He should go Scream in the alley, He CAN'T FN sing !
I don't think Springsteen's singing out of tune on this is a very good way or even an intentional way of paying his respects to Wilson Pickett.
@@avantill ma cosa stai dicendo? 🙄😒🤫🤫
@@avantillyou are wrong BIG time

I can honestly say I hung out with Bruce on the beaches & clubs of the Jersey shore during my teens; the BEST times of my life, in terms of 'Innocence & Experiences'! What Outrageous times were had by all! (remembering 'Greetings from Asbury Park' & all the rest)

excellent!!!!!!!
Good quality for 1999 😱
The boss is great, but Wilson nailed him to the floor.
meravigliosi !
wilson pickett and brucw springsteen two legendary greats.omg what a great video.i first heard this song in 1965 in the jewish catskills.but my favorite motown artist will always be dianna ross and her stand against bigotry forever.she will always be a good friend and supporter of the jewish people and the state of israel.i will always agree with her stand on civil rights
There's no bigger fan of The Boss than me, but he *does* get his butt kicked here. Of course, I'd like to get my butt kicked by Wilson Pickett, too, if it meant sharing a stage with him!
I'm not so sure about Bruce getting his butt kicked. Bruce usually takes a back seat to the legends that join him on stage. I'm sure it's out of respect..
Very valid comment, Phil. But it seems to have escaped a lot of people who negatively criticize Springsteen. I have observed on numerous occasions where he holds back his contribution.
i know you said this a couple of years ago, and i admit, i dont know the animosity between the two. It seemed to me like Bruce took a back seat, there was no ass kicking...if anything Wilson gave an overperformance. Just my twa pennies the fit was tappin though :)
Wrong. Bruce is a great and humble performer and is happy to give credit where it's due, rather than try to outperform or be number 1. A true gentleman.
Springsteen the Yeller, SUX ! He Can't sing, He Yell's ! He FN Blows !
WOW!
i also see Billy Joel and Paul Scaffer Band Leader from the David Letterman show.
awesome :)
R.I.P. WILSON PICKETT
WOOOOOWEEEE!
