I love how this performance makes it so clear - this is the best The Commitments ever get - everything comes together for them here and they are at their pinnacle and they realize it.
This one moment, just that moment, when they were literally the best band in the world. It was all too brief, ended as soon as they got backstage. But they were the best for a instant.

I was engaged to one Irish girl; later married another... both beautiful, wonderful girls, & possessed of a strong will & a streak of independence which I loved & admired- but for some reason neither one ever listened to any of the wisdom I shared with them... what's up with that????? (LOL)
