Hey Delyn, just thought to also recommend that a good option for the door leading to the garage would be to put a smart deadbolt lock in that place, with 3-inch screws for added/ better security. I have a “Level lock” in that area secured with longer screws. It’s smart, natively works with Homekit and has a sleek design and gives me added security. 😊
Nice tour! I have a smart house too but no devices in common with yours. Looks like I should read up on some of these and see if they might be useful to me.
Excellent tour! Subscribed, and looking forward to seeing more! I didn't watch your Holomarq video yet - that lock handle should integrate with HA via the HomeKit Controller integration, yes?
Nice tour. Just a note -the glossy plastic comes off the top half of your router. I've got the same one and noticed after months that it had managed to stay on because it isn't super noticeable at first
Are you managing the devices/hubs in both HK and HA? Or are you adding them to HA and bridging them to HK? I’ve been redoing my HK smarthome due to things not working well and transitioned to a HA backend for all devices/scenes, and then selectively bring those devices back into HK. Also - with all of your signer devices - how reliable have your hubs been? And are you going to transition your Aqara/hue devices to ZHA zigbee2mqtt in the future? I did this and the reliability of my 40 zigbee devices has been outstanding.
For what it's worth, I do what you're doing. Home Assistant controls all my devices, then HomeKit has access to whatever I give it. Much much easier that way, and it's one central point to set up automations
@@Delyn definitely best that way. I'm always mystified by the people that have two or three ecosystems with automations scattered across all of them. That's just so much more work, then you have to remember which platform controls what devices and which platform has the automation that you're trying to troubleshoot
Love your walk through. I am moving to more HomeKit devices. Is there a reason you use Flic and Aqara buttons? Is there an advantage to each based on how you are using?
only thing i see if the device is set to record it dies alot. but when set to only stream it works fine MOST of the time. definitely better than when recording. Maybe something to that.@@Delyn
We wanted a tv in that area but the way its laid out didn't really have a place so I found a motorized ceiling tv mount that comes down when it turns on and back up when it turns off!
Great tour! Not only do I love the tech update, but the neat freak in me loves loves your tidiness.
Thanks George! I really try 😂 it isn’t easy with two young kids 😂
@@Delyn My hat is off to you my friend. Keep up the great work! My most updated tour should be out by Tuesday!
Very clean setup. Love the tv mounted on the ceiling.
Thank you!

You know I love a good smart home tour! Added to the playlist, great job
Thanks Brandon!!

Nice job! Very impressive tour.
UA-cam sent me your way! Great video and great channel! I need to do a whole home tour but man that seems like a ton of work!!
It definitely wasn’t a light load but it was a blast putting it together!

That’s a great question! That might be one of the very few integrations I haven’t tried yet
Enjoyed the tour…did not enjoy the background soundtrack. Just FYI Thanks for the video!
Noted! Thanks!
@@Delynabsolutely nothing wrong with the background soundtrack, I say keep it
Excellent home tour 🫡
I’m glad I came across this video! You’ve got a new subscriber 🙌🏻🔝
Thanks for the support!

Thanks for the tip!
Nice tour. Well done sir!
Thanks for watching!

That’s exactly how I’m doing it. Adding my devices to HA and the selecting which ones I want in HK.

Hi dear,do you want to review Zemismart Matter smart devices?
Great set up! What do you use for a security system? Do you have it incorporated into HomeKit?
Thanks! I use Aqara devices in HomeKit!
Love your walk through. I am moving to more HomeKit devices. Is there a reason you use Flic and Aqara buttons? Is there an advantage to each based on how you are using?
Aqara were the inexpensive entry point and just got curious about whether the flic would be better or not (spoiler, it’s about the same)
Awesome video subscribed, unrelated but where’d you get the jacket?
Thanks! It was a gift haha
I find that eufy goes to no response mode ALOT in the apple home app. Any tips?
I wish I had tips but I have the same issue unfortunately

Like your prints, which company did you use?
The ones upstairs are from a company called Smallwood
Why is there a TV on the roof?! I feel like a crazy person that nobody else is asking that 😀

Not enough automation
Watch some of my other videos ;)
Your TV is too high
Which one?
