Nice Set sounds good!👍👍👍👍
I love Weber carbs and remember Mikuni.?.? was always my favorite sound on 4cyl.
the phh series solexes are the shit! their design and execution makes the webers look like junk.
great sounding 4cyl
LOVE IT!!
Very nice!❤
I have an L20b....bored to 87mm [vg30e pistons] standard carb modified to a mechanical secondary and gives 120 Hp @7000rpm. anymore rpm and you have to fit a spray bar for the cam its hollow.
is 98 octane the only fuel for the L20b engine, i changed my points for a accuspark, and 4 post coil
Nice!
Just a guess but I think on an almost stock stock L20B with open exhaust and headers the Webers this combination would give around 135-140 HP
What's done to it? Also could an L16 do something similar to this?
Really surprising figures for an old l20 :)
Is that the venturi effect I see in action at 1:42 near the carb intakes?
It's spit back (or fuel standoff,) basically it's fuel and air being bounced out of the inlet tube by the pressure wave caused by the inlet valve closing. can be reduced with longer and more optimally profiled bellmouths. Also the reason not to run foam filter socks.
@@manitoublack amazing reply, thanks for your insight.
i need the Weber carbs
webber induction. yeah!
anything sounds good with webers
Diggles Boys LIKE!!!!!!!!
That sounds awesome, but the OS giken twin cam head with carbs now that's pure sex!
overpriced and under-produced. there's no need for that in this day and age.
just the webers or was more done to it to make that 200 hp?
don't be stupid
tom murphy or I'm sorry Tiff Muffy. we are not all Datsun genius like you
chops- do yourself a favor and read "modifying your datsun nissan L-series OHC engine' by frank honsowetz. you'll be a powerplant 'guru' in no time. rob
tom murphy See, was it hard to post a constructive comment? I'll check out the vid. thanks
thats a great book, highly recomend you get a copy chops, everything you want to know is in it
Hi how much
GREETINGS I HAVE AN ENGINE L20, I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THE POWER THAT. I WANT THE KIT, HOW AND WHERE COULD BUY
The entire engine must be forged, probably bored out. Stage 5 + cam, maybe balance crank dry sump. Possably stroker engine. There are no "kits" for any of this, it costs a hell of alot of money and takes alot of skill.
wrong and right. you needn't spend a ton of money, but you need to know a lot about how engines work...
i've never seen a 'forged block', and you can use 'off the shelf' cast pistons- mixed with some smarts about picking the right ones. i'll give you a hint- they come from nissan.
@@badm.d stock crank is already forged. Block is easily capable of handling this level of load. Rods might be good at this power level but IDK about at that RPM. Pistons absolutely need replaced with Forged high compression ones
...now add 30psi and keep the head on :)
not a problem with the L20B, strong as a japanese anvil, even more so than the SR20's with their bunch of head bolts... i run 15 psi with my stroked
l-series, and there's enough strength for more.
Nice But Dont Blow It Up.
Its kinda hard to
115HP at 4000 RPM lol
Datsun engines were renowned for torque curves flat as Kansas
weber is to datsun as chevy is to ford. keep it real, go with mikuni/solex
yet the very first hotrods were fords with chevy motors. who cares, it sucks air and spits fire. that's all that matters
207 hp with lots of torque and ad 80 to 100 shot of nitrous.Aluminum flywheel and a good gear ratio ul be set
