Along with Rubycon and Phaedra this is the brilliant essence of Tangerine Dream. I get some strange looks in the car at the traffic lights with the windows rolled down playing this, when I put my semi-circular ping-pong balls in my eye sockets and drive off I get a strange response, priceless! Absolutely superb music, many thanks for the upload, danke!
@fogbow63 I love this sound. I don't need LSD to appreciate it. It seems that I've come home from the wilderness of Western musak. 1969-77 was the great period of pioneering German electronica, what else! Mike from South Wales.
Wonderfull stuff been into TD since their original album electronic meditation I must say never did like anything after poland here my own personal faves are this one ZIET, Phaedra, Rubycon, Alpha Centurie, Atem, Green dessert, Hyperborea so this is a welcome chill might even slap the whole ZIET CD on now LOL great stuff *S*
The glissando guitar is used to great effect. Check out its use by Gong (Daevid Allen & Steve Hillage) as well. Gives that extra 'spacey' feel. Took me a little while to get into Zeit back in the 70"s but it is a classic.
Deeper than Hell, and how. Variations on a spiritual voyage to the unknown. Thank You for uploading this, it helps me dream wetly. Got to love physics in reverse.
Fourth beauty album of German band Tangerine Dream .... Edgar Froese - Chris Franke - Peter Baumann ... With little help of Florian Fricke (Popol Vuh ... at the moog) Albums recorded with quadriphonische system to feel better this Cosmic voyage ....... LSD period music and new sounds ..... Zeit is a voyage in the mind of men
I am only two years old and I have reached roughly 0.7% completion on my own universal theory - which is being examined by physicists internationally. I too enjoy Tangerine Dream. I'm interested that your predictions extend all the way to the year 5097, however as my own theory does not include predestination. Perhaps I have overlooked some outstanding variable. Regardless, I am tuning my universal translobal modulator to you in wishing you the best which will have a 9.31% chance of effect.
it's sufficiently bizarre enuff music to read fried sci-fi to, may the gods have mercy ( if they'd be thus kind and can find some time in their busy-ass sched-yules, fellow zanies...)
i, i diligently thank the great gods, used to stargaze whilst listening to this deeeeeeeeeep strangeness (as if it could possibly get more uniquely bizarre.)..
@dequadim man, just have a look at producers like rhythm & sound, rod modell or fluxion ;) . Music for the spirit still exist, but not at TV, for sure!
Wow, I used to know a little bit about this band but you know a LOT. Is this the one that John Peel liked or was it Atem? which was '73 I think. Nice comment, fogbow63.
I'm sitting in my mothers womb as we speak. Using a remote keyboard for which the doctors procured at a cost of just about twelve dollars. Seeing as my birth will not make any impact on the way this universe works tangerine dream in my view is quite possibly the second most important group for human ears to listen to. The number one electronic board player is Vangelis. But for the strange TD can always give me ideas to open a new rift or get me to finish my thesis on Celestial mechanics. 0.01%

where do you live?
This, Rubycon and Phaedra are all timeless classics. And they all sound fresh even today.
Amazing how thirty years later, this album recorded on what now seems like primitive gear, still sounds so sublime.
Deep ... very deep. I love it.
Superb Unique sounds Quantum Music
This song makes me wanna buy a Moog synthesizer so i can create my own ambient/electronic music like this.
zeit is my all time favourite album
Such an unusual and wonderful song. It achieves that feeling of being completely frozen in time.
This is classic stuff right here!
Unbelievable! Still their greatest work.
The Birth of Dark Ambient
+mslesa23 Drone! Because people like to say 'drone' it sounds trendy superficial So cool.
It seems that Atem was named Album of the Year by John Peel in 1973.
pure ambient

@TheGrinninMan I had a feeling the "Mozart for Babies" people had it all wrong. Thank for confirming that!

'perfect stargazing music' quoth that troublemaker little Zhaleh on this midmarch Bostonian night smack dab in the middle of the strangeness of it all
Total alien 1979.
@shamballa100 My thoughts exactly apart from the occasional track from stratosfear [3:00 am], Mike from South Wales.
@canowxy You're right mate :-)
Definately a modern lullaby, it nearly put me to sleep in front of the computer. I do like it though.
