- Two men have today been found guilty of the murder of Cody Fisher, who was stabbed to death on the dancefloor of a Birmingham nightclub on Boxing Day, 2022.
The semi-professional footballer had been on a night out with friends when he was attacked following an ‘insignificant’ encounter with one of the killers two nights earlier.
Cody, aged 23, had accidentally bumped into Remy Gordon at Popworld in Solihull and the pair exchanged a few words.

Went clubbing in digbeth it was an Asian event, but when we got outside I saw a group of lads stamping on someone. To stop midway and shout - no word of a lie “that’s our boy that’s our boy” and then help him back up.
We then got into a taxi to get back to our hotel. A black teen couldn’t have been more than 18 opened the door and pulled a machete out. He must have seen we weren’t his desired targets because he just shut the door and went to the next taxi. I’ve been to literal war zones before, but your avrg brummy with a bit of alcohol in him seems more dangerous and unpredictable than these Isis members.
lol was this 3 weeks ago at xoyo by any chance? I went out DJ'ing as I DJ in Digbeth myself weekly. I walk outside and hear my name, being very friendly, due to about 200 people standing outside I couldn't hear the person who said my name. 10 minutes later I get a call from a withheld number and I had some random person trying to start on me because I didn't say hello back, most people who go to clubs cannot handle their drinks and try starting random beef for no reason. It's a shame really, Low IQ world.

I was there that night and seen the chaos but didnt know what happend untill next day and got email from the police who contacted every one who bought a ticket... the security and searchs were a joke because the que was so long they was just rushing people in they had the metal detecting wands and didnt use them.. i walked through with to bottles of magnum in my bag.. forgot they was in there but just shows anythink could of passed by the security... sad man R.I.P YOUNG MAN 💯💙🥺

It happened to me, I am now 73, at 18 on the dance floor in a disco near Luton i bumped into a black lad, I apologised there and then and thought nothing more of it.
I went to the loo and two big men followed me in i was big at 6 foot these men were taller and bigger, they identified themselves as plain clothes policemen ( drug squad) and said we saw what happened but you now have a gang after you of 10 or 12 black lads .
We will escort you out never ever come back do you understand, I didn't need telling twice. And off i went. Would i have made 73 if i had gone back ? I don't think so, This case is a wake up call for everyone a bump can have serious consequences and please remember its far more dangerous out there now ! thank you for the video.

This is what makes me think theres more to it - I think they might have known each other. One of the articles I read it stated the guy who killed him called one of his (the guy who died) friends before it happened - why would he even have his number if they were strangers? Maybe they had mutual friends or something? Either way it seems very drastic to do all of that just because someone bumped into you in a rave.

My nephew was arrested on murder over 13 years ago spent a year on remand even though witnesses said he was the one who stopped the altercation..he was released after a second trial..His mate got life up to this day his mate never killed him he was a cousin to him the victim...sometimes police can twist the truth and this is the case..I watched in the old Bailey his solicitor was useless that has cost this poor young man life in prison
