There were multiple times in that chase where it could have gone differently, if he had punched the guy when he was climbing over the railing he would have had another few metres to get away successfully, or if that blue car had said hey jump in, he also could have been saved. The brazen attack in daylight and in a busy street with machetes, shows the gang is not afraid of any law! The father could have saved his life by not driving & calling for help. The house was attacked a few days earlier. It was known that a possible attack was imminent. It would be interesting to know if the police had that Information. The whole don’t do this do that speech can be said a million times. But if Jo bloggs was to phone the police with a serious threat on theirs n their families lives, how do West Midlands police deal with that? Usually by saying no crimes took place YET, we can’t do anything! Same with domestic issues from ex partners or family members. There has to be changes within the procedures of protecting people who are contending with serious threats, maybe then people would have the courage to seek help when theirs n loved ones lives are in the balance!
