Glad you are covering this one and Vital. I am actually getting some cool things happening going back to reasynth with some of the stock js effects. Good stuff!
I have had this synth since version 3. it has been collecting virtual dust. Thanks to your video and great tutorial, im now having a blast making custom synth sounds. Especially loving this visual filter.
Thanks Kenny. Easily my favorite company for plugins. I use their sampler and drum plugins every single day, and I'm just starting to up my synth game with this little plugin.
Very well done sir. I have the older version and I really get a lot out of it just through the presets. I have some gripes about how absurd the delay can be and some of the other options, but I've learned to work with it and how less is more with this plug-in
tal noisemaker just sounds good, i own many premiium plugins. this is premium freeware. the interface is just so simple. the oscillators sound bright and warm.
hey kenny, any chance you'd do a jsfx to dll transpiler tutorial? a lot of us non-c++ programmers would appreciate this (i myself am limited to basic/autoit).
Hi Kenny. I think my Reaper is broken. The expected behavior that flows so nicely in your videos almost never happens for me. In particular and unrelated to your video, I'm having so much trouble getting audio loops to work correctly! I keep splitting audio out of loop mode but it still leave tail! I'm getting worn out by this. What's the best way to contact you? I'll pay. 😵
What will happen if we are currently working on a song project that uses an older version of TAL Noisemaker, and we replace it with this newer version? Will the new version change the sounds we had? Or will it stay the same?
I honestly don't know but I would assume it would be the same. But you could always put the old version of the plugin somewhere else on your hard drive so you can downgrade if you need to.
Why? They are both very good instruments; TAL is easier to use but it's not as powerful, but Surge's power can be hard to harness due to its complexity. I think you should have both as they really complement each other's capabilities and workflow.
false dichotomy. both are different. i personally hate the interface of surge, but it just sounds great. the tal interface is perfection, as far as freeware goes. and it sounds just great, too. but you don't have wavetables with tal, so that makes surge vital. i'm joking with that word, since vital has really high cpu usage and is unusable on my cheap computer. even serum works better. so surge is definitely the best choice for a free synth with wavetable support. Helm is also excellent, although the presets suck, but its interface is fairly easy to use.
thank you for creating engaging, EASY, and enjoyable tutorials

I use this one quite a bit. Love the simplicity, and the inbuilt presets are brilliant.
Good stuff as always, Kenny. Great tips for my students in our Sound Design and Synthesis course! Thank you!

Kenny... I have learned so much from your videos... Thank you so much. Keep up the amazing work!!!
A super easy and fantastic free synth from the grat TAL company. PS, check out their TAL-vocoder too. It is absolutely fantastic!! :)

Great Video!! I pointed my new to DAWs and Synths friend to this video and your channel...He Loved it!!
Light bulb moment regarding this plugin ... thanks Kenny!!
This is a great vidi. Love your logical approach. I'm a beginner and I learned a lot. Subbed.

Cool, now I know where all the atari sounds came from😅

The bitcrusher knob only has a tiny spot on knob that has any effect on the sound, other than making it silent. Am I using it wrong?

How do you get the keyboard to be seen like that? I've been trying to find out how and have had no luck
Does anyone know what the lock button that is next to the midi learn button is for?
Hi Kenny... There is a new Plugin format CLAP on the the corner... Does Reaper support it?... can you do a video on it?...

@@REAPERMania That makes sense, thanks Kenny.
Could you please help me choose between TAL Noisemaker and Surge XT?

Re-upload?
What changed?
@@fixelheimer3726 I kept calling it "Pulse Wave" when I should have been saying "Pulse Width".
