The reason Voltaire says “better lovers” was because he was quite the ladies’ man. He and Benjamin Franklin were buddies and wingmen in picking up women
“I think you owe both of your students here an apology” Apology is a recording of Socrates’s trial by his student Plato. Socrates never wrote anything down. What we know of him has come from the writings of Plato
But Nietzsche also wanted to get over it. He saw the rise of the Übermensch and wanted to get ahead of it. He denied the concept of god, which makes him a somewhat nihilist, which means without god there is no purpose, but not in the way the we don't need a meaning in life. He went down this rabbit hole to get out. He felt the world was sick. And that was (and is) like that somewhere. As said before, Nazi ideology abused this as they only wanted to be the Übermensch, which he strictly rejected. He explained how we got there and tried to get us beyond. But that last part didn't work out. And Confucius said, it only brought hate. That's the tragedy.
Glad you enjoyed , I think possibly their best battle, there's so many extra layers on further viewing too and always enjoy when they play around with the start and endings like that
Ubermensch is basically just a concept of ignoring religions and becoming a superior human through making your own identity. He was quite savage, in fact one of his most popular quotes is literally: "Woman was God's second mistake". And yeah, Hitler pretty much followed the Ubermensch concept, hence the whole Aryan race is superior thing he had going on-
It's not totally fair to say Hitler 'followed' the concept - Nietzsche's whole ubermensch thing was really about self-actualisation and denying your weaknesses, nothing to do with any racist/imperialist stuff, whereas Hitler took it and used it as an excuse to say 'white germans are the best and other races are subhuman'. It didn't help that Nietzsche's sister took ownership of his work after he died though, and she WAS a dyed in the wool Nazi.
@@countspyder4769 If so, he only read it to a certain point. The whole point of Nietzsche was to get beyond that. I rejected the Übermensch, but saw it comming.
The eastern probably still some, but you should totally look up the western philosophers to u set stand some of their bars better. It’s just an amazing battle abs one of my all time favorites! There’s a lot you missed on nietzsche and Voltaire and Socrates. Most of it was when they were dissing each other, but it still makes the battle so much more fun.
Voltair means bengamin frankling when he says hangs with b frank he was good froends with the founding fathers and helped make many the idias that renin the constitution
Love how he recognized all of the Eastern philosopher’s actors
All OGs in the Asian early UA-cam scene 😂

Buddies is a stretch, they met for the first time when Franklin was in france in the revolutionary war near the end of Voltaire's life
Socrates’s whole schtick was questioning everything. So when he says “that even I wouldn’t question”, you know it’s something that is self-evident

Nietzche is kind of misrepresented here. He was not a nihilist and the Germans just twisted his philosophy to suit what they wanted it to say.
Oh really? I guess it is a rap battle as well, you take a lil bit of truth and twist to make them as bad as possible 😂
He was a de-nihilist
He admitted to being a nihilist
Nietzsche absolutely was a nihilist, and I think the thing about the Nazis twisting his ideas was kinda implied in those lines in the song

Yeah for sure I watched it a few times after I recorded and theres no many layers

Oh shit, that’s intense 😂
Ya apparently one of Hitlers favorite books was Nietzche’s

@@MrSquare yeah 100%
I honestly believe he simply used Nietzche's work to try and justify his beliefs if anything

The east infection line aged very very very badly😂💀
In my opinion, in order to compete with this one, you would have to do Ivan the Terrible Vs. Alexander the Great.
Will get to it!
"East infections" is a play on "yeast infection".
People overlook the Method, man bit. It’s a double. Look up Socratic Method.
I'm glad you know these people
Sun-Tzu was also from the kingdom of Wu
Fiiiire 🔥
I'm pretty sure east infections is also a play on yeast infection.
On this episode from ERB is the battle between the two different philosophers, Eastern vs Western
part of the reason the fought amongst themselves is philosophers rarely agree and tend to argue a lot.
also, another one is joker vs pennywise
Promise I’ll do that one after the next 2 coming out!
Law of Philosophic Conservation: For every philosopher, there is an equal and opposite philosopher.
Socratic METHOD man
Loving the consistency of these. One to put off until the end, is EpicLloyd vs NicePeter 2. As in watch that last.
Imma keep going! Got it thatll be the finale!
