Respect to the dude that found some good Paire's forehands
Alex Celo yeah, some of the guys in the video have good forehands despite of being ugly, but Paire’s forehand is uncanny hahahah
@Aya Rusher nice profile picture
Why tf a bot reply to a year old comment of a tennis video...
@@alexcelo And then of course the other bot has to respond.
Hours of searching in the dark web archives.....
Khachanov definetely belongs here too, maybe even Medvedev. I still can't believe how Santoro could play professional tennis with his technique, it's really unique.
You dont understand, Santoro was magic man
Santoro had incredible touch, a true magician with his hands. Federer used to play with his forehand in practice for fun, and he could do "not bad" at it (his own words.)
@@eggsybenedict7014 Santoro is trash tho
@@wooshbait36 I wouldn't call a former world No.17 trash even if we only look at the rankings. He was a very skilled and entertaining player, and the tour was richer for having him.
@@eggsybenedict7014 Terrible player
Fabrice Santoro took beginner tennis lessons and thought "Yeah, this should be all I need to go pro"
Bernard just looks like he's putting no effort in at all
Probably cause he isn't
Well mainly his footwork is really bad.
Ride person no yalent at all
He does not waste energy
Marija Brkic did you really just say Tomic has no talent
Where is Daniil though ?
Also, loving the retro vibes of this selection, Santoro, young Paire, Lord Gulbis, Tomic actually playing and winning... Could almost be a troll selection
Gulbis forehand is lethal, he hypnotises you with the left hand and then when you wake up, BOOM!! the ball just passed you.
He's like: "Look at my hand, BOOM, fooled you"
Lol jack sock and gasquet should be on here too
Despite Gasquet's forehand is not very academic one, it is beautiful
@@mbajobue and useless :D
@@mbajobue i think it looks horrible ^^
Snake bro that :D at the end of your sentence had me dead 😂😂😂
Del potro too
The speed Mannarino can create with this technique is insane...
Marcus Adamiak imagine he takes the backswing
I had read somewhere that he had a normal technique, but due to forearm/wrist injury he had to change his forehand 100%. He can't do a back swing anymore and that is why he strings his racquets super low, under 20 kg/38 pounds.
It looks like the forehand of a like a 4.0 player (like me!) It's amazing he can get any power at all hitting the ball so close to his body with nearly no take-back
He uses very low tension in his strings, rumored low 30s
cuz he strings his racket at 24
I think Mannarino is Johnny Sins disguised. You know Johnny can be a doctor, a teacher and maybe a tennis player who knows
Mannarino looks a bit like Zidane
@@bhungry2889 Now that he cut his hair yes
First footage of paire in which no racquet has suffered damage ..
Mischa Zverev might belong in this list as well
He definitely does lmao, that forehand is trash
And what about Nadal? Jaja
Gulbis no longer has it
Yes he lost in the third round of the 2020 Aus Open
@@depogo yes, 3 round of qualification, and 3rd in AO
@@hyacinthusargus1513 Come on, the guy was ranked as high as 74th last year before once again having injury problems. He'll get to top 100 again this year.
@@HawkOfGP thats the truth, he wasvranking even better, but unfortunaly, problems withbhealth, no proper coach, i beleive he will give his best, still onlyv29, my best friend is his big fan, common Gulbis show us your best and your geatvtalent, it is never late
@@marijabrkic6071 He'll be 32 this year.. how is he 29 lol
After watching this video medvedevs forehand looks beautiful
😂
I’ve noticed lot of the French players have unique forms, but effective. Surprised nadal’s forehand doesn’t make the list with his constant buggy whip and it stands to be possibly one of the greatest forehands to ever grace the court
Mayer's forehand looks like patting a pancake.
Also Jack Sock's forehand must be on this list purely because it's very unique, generates extreme spin with his wrist and hits with the back side of his racquet on take back.
It's not unorthodox, it's the next gen forehand. I don't recommend doing it
@@legoatjames5723 Next gen are the best, should remove all Nadal and Nola🤪
It was funny how Nola didn't even get a medal in this olympics even tho Nadal and Fed weren't there. Hehehehe
@@789uio6y Yes, i find it weird. How did nole lose? Probably the prrssure.
@@789uio6y Nole and Nadal are still the best, but early next gen comes in a close second
I miss Alberto Berasategui forehand. One of the most strange one but at the same time very Powerful!!
these highlight video are a bit too much focused on current players.
Completly
Técnica de jugador de frontón.
The direction Mannarino can get on the ball without any swing of the racket for his forehand is crazy!!!. Must be hard to read for an opponent.
he strings his racquet at like 26 from what i hear
Paires forehand is so good that nobody can return it...
...because it doesn‘t cross the net 😂😂😂
How can it be so good then, failed joke
Good list. First one that came to my mind was Dolgopolov though.
Tomic can make it to Hollywood.. looking at his performance at 0:41...!!!
"What an athlete Paire is"
I have fun mimicking Santoros forehand. Just at a recreatiomal level, though.
If the video was made 15 years ago, Nadal would have featured in it. We are used seeing his not so textbook style forehand, it looks normal now after 15 + years.
I swear with Mayer you’d never know where the ball is going until it is past you
And what about Alberto Berasategui? The Spaniard who reached the final of the French Open in 94 was the only player (as far as I know) who played the forehand and the backhand with the same side of the racket. He definitely had the most original forehand ever.
Also his bh was very unigue. Started with two hands and swinged out with one.
His forehand is pretty normal is you compare it to modern players like Fritz and Sock.
Old one, but Berasategui?
I'd love to see a compilation like this for players in the 90s
Back in the 90s people talk about Jim Courier's forehand
the baseball player playing tennis
Nadal, Sock, Medvedev, Dolgopolov?
yup
Dont mix Rafa with noone, he is an umique player and persom, pure diamomf
@@marijabrkic6071 What had the orthodontist done to you?
@@marijabrkic6071 "unique" is kind of a key feature of unorthodox...
Nadal’s forehand is really more similar to Federer’s than you think. The only real mechanical differences are that he hits semi-western to Federer’s eastern and he finishes over his head usually. But when Nadal flattens out or Federer hits a buggy whip, their forehands look really similar.
Tomic actually has a very unorthodox, pingpong like forehand
Fabrice Santoro, ladies and gents!
What about Alberto Berasategui? Powerful and rare forehand
1:59 commentator: oh that’s delicious
Me: NANI?!!!?
Commentator: what an athlete paired
Everybody not watching the video: pear?
Some i think shouldve been included
Stepanek
Granollers
When Gulbis gets his forehand rolling you're screwed. Unorthodox? Sure. Effective? Definitely.
del potros forehand made some noise when he was up and coming for being weird. personally i love it now 😋
I wish Tomic put more effort into tennis - I loved watching his forehand!
I cannot fathom how Mannarino doesn't break his wrist every time he hits a forehand.
Gasquet's FH should be included IMO. He uses a continental BH grip for his FH too.
Looks like, but had been already proved that his fh grip is an eastern
Man, i miss Gulbis!
Franco squilari had a fantastic and unorthodox forehand too !
Benoit Paire has one the most appealing backhand that I like.
Ronny very good backhad
Where's Jim Courier? Maybe the most unorthodox and dangerous forehand of all time!
And pretty lame baseball like backhand
After watching this video I was exhausted from continuous gagging.
💀 Now that's hilarious
This was a series covered by Tennistic, isn't it?
No
Yes😂😂😂
@@steventerrazas7880 somebody else started it. Luke allen maybe
What about gravinboginagis forehand ?
Footage was privated.
Gulbis's Heil forehand is impressive.
Uhhhh what about Sock?
Zack Burton no
Gulbis fh used to be similar to jim courier's
Short backswing full western grip but with a flat hitting pattern
And much better it was
Its safe to say Fabrice Santaro loves his backhand
Gulbis used to be one of my favourite players. I liked the style of his play and his charisma on and off the court. Sorry that he couldn’t sustain his level because of, among other things, injuries.
Respect to TennisTop10 channel (now SportsEvidence) - the owner of the idea for this video. As I remember this
This remind me of another UA-cam video that's exactly the same as this. Nice on you to steal ideas ATP
Gulbis's forehand is the best. The power he is creating is insane. Come On Gulbis! You are the Lord of the forehand.
what's the song called in this video ? really cool !
Dolgopolov?? That guy's forehand looks crazy lol
You had to know Santoro was going to be in here.
I don't really think I'd call the Gulbis or Tiafoe forehands "unorthodox." Definitely some interesting form from some of the others.
Who'd make the list for serves?
Que cerradas las empuñaduras de Tiafoe y de Gulbis ,para mando gusto falto la mejor derecha del circuito la de Juan Martin Del Potro!
Misha's forehand is also quite unbelivable!
Fabrice Santoro ❤❤❤
What is the backround music?
Where s kafelnikov?
I was just about to say that. I've never seen anyone else with a forehand like that. Kafelnikov was my idol and for a short while I tried to emulate his strokes. An unsuccessful attempt I might add. Most of his shots looked quite unique now that I think of it.
Bernard tomic and gulbis biggest waste of talent ever
Kyrigos so far I think had a lot more potential than them. Nalbandian too perhaps.
@@Mzee1084 i know he does but kryriogs has a future in tennis doesnt he the other two dont
@@august25th38 Kyrigios does if he gets his head together, which I don't have much faith in. His level of talent is up there with the best right now, and multi-slam potential.
@@Mzee1084 he will get his head together watch what he's done in the past year
@@august25th38 Yeah, just been hearing him say that he is doing it for years and then never changing. Hopefully he proves me wrong. Has always had this weird style that looks so lazy, but works for him.
When you think you're forehand is normal but you watch this video and yours is pretty similar to some players here
Gulbis always had big game. Big power
Tomic's forehand is amazing it's just not good according to the book. I think through the years he has trained insanely hard and before he got bored of tennis he has mastered this type of forehand.
If you mention Tiafo then you also have Edmund and Kirgios. There was another player just like Santori who played all shots dubble handed: Dutchman Raemon Sluijter. And what about older players like Jimmy Connors?
Jan-Michael Gambill as well
Music pls ??
no mention of alberto ?? the craziest and possibly best forehand around
Is it just me or does Gulbis look like magneto from X-men...
What is the intro music on this?
Santoro is the most unorthodox player ever.
Mayer moves his arm faster on the pullback than the actual stroke
Make more parts
Marc Rosset and Magnus Gustafsson
Where is Jack Sock???? Holy shit cant believe they missed it
im suprised rafa isn't on this list. That buggy whip forehand is pretty unique.
Definitely Soderling
Florian Mayer was fun to watch
I just realized that I didn’t know what paire actually looked like without the huge beard
Where is Jack Sock?!?
I know, I love Jack's super Western forehand
Yeah, where is it?
Some of them like Paire and Mannarino I could diagree with.
Borna Coric is one I think.
what's unorthodox about Paire?
Can anybody explain to me, why is mannarino unorthodox?
How do you not include Kyrgios in there though
maranino tomic and gulbis actuallly have good forehands tho. Id prefer paire's backand over his forehand any day
And kyrgios?
Why hasn't anyone mentioned Pancho Segura's two-handed forehand?
Alberto Berasategui!
What song is this?
What about Kriekstein?
When i think of people who have a better backhand than forehand paire is definitely the second name i think of
He’s the only one who has a WAY better backhand than forehand however.
This is by far the most alienated video from reality that I have ever seen??!?? Ok, the one that posted this must by some Spanish troll, but how the hell he got fooled almost everyone in the comment section too????? I used to think tennis-fans are among the brightest of sports fans, but that illusion was shattered here totally and forever. :(
Honestly I think Khachanov and Tiafoe have pretty much the same forehand
How is Jack Sock not in this??
how was mayer professional with that technique?
I admire the unique style forehands.
I assume they most probably do so to seek attention.
Senthil Veeran are you stupid or just pretending?
