    Khachanov definetely belongs here too, maybe even Medvedev. I still can't believe how Santoro could play professional tennis with his technique, it's really unique.

      Santoro had incredible touch, a true magician with his hands. Federer used to play with his forehand in practice for fun, and he could do "not bad" at it (his own words.)

    Gulbis forehand is lethal, he hypnotises you with the left hand and then when you wake up, BOOM!! the ball just passed you.
    He's like: "Look at my hand, BOOM, fooled you"

      I had read somewhere that he had a normal technique, but due to forearm/wrist injury he had to change his forehand 100%. He can't do a back swing anymore and that is why he strings his racquets super low, under 20 kg/38 pounds.

      It looks like the forehand of a like a 4.0 player (like me!) It's amazing he can get any power at all hitting the ball so close to his body with nearly no take-back

    I’ve noticed lot of the French players have unique forms, but effective. Surprised nadal’s forehand doesn’t make the list with his constant buggy whip and it stands to be possibly one of the greatest forehands to ever grace the court

    Mayer's forehand looks like patting a pancake.
    Also Jack Sock's forehand must be on this list purely because it's very unique, generates extreme spin with his wrist and hits with the back side of his racquet on take back.

    The direction Mannarino can get on the ball without any swing of the racket for his forehand is crazy!!!. Must be hard to read for an opponent.

    If the video was made 15 years ago, Nadal would have featured in it. We are used seeing his not so textbook style forehand, it looks normal now after 15 + years.

    And what about Alberto Berasategui? The Spaniard who reached the final of the French Open in 94 was the only player (as far as I know) who played the forehand and the backhand with the same side of the racket. He definitely had the most original forehand ever.

      Nadal’s forehand is really more similar to Federer’s than you think. The only real mechanical differences are that he hits semi-western to Federer’s eastern and he finishes over his head usually. But when Nadal flattens out or Federer hits a buggy whip, their forehands look really similar.

    Gulbis used to be one of my favourite players. I liked the style of his play and his charisma on and off the court. Sorry that he couldn’t sustain his level because of, among other things, injuries.

      I was just about to say that. I've never seen anyone else with a forehand like that. Kafelnikov was my idol and for a short while I tried to emulate his strokes. An unsuccessful attempt I might add. Most of his shots looked quite unique now that I think of it.

    Tomic's forehand is amazing it's just not good according to the book. I think through the years he has trained insanely hard and before he got bored of tennis he has mastered this type of forehand.

    When i think of people who have a better backhand than forehand paire is definitely the second name i think of
