Good list but Roger and,Rafa are number 1 and 2 no question for me for what they can do and what they are achieved.
Delpotro and Gonzalez should be 3 and 4.
Rafa no1
Best and big forehand in Men's Tennis - Jim Courier; Steffi Graf, the Fraulein Forehand in Women's Tennis.
Most players in the last two decades hit the FH with the same technique, more or less. What are the criteria for measuring how good the FH is? We can talk about power, consistency, depth, spin … a lot of aspects. It’s impossible to measure and rate it. I would not rank the players but rather just mention those with good FH.
Fernando Gonzalez should be in #1, del potro #2
😂😂
Delpo 1 GS #3, Gonza 1 ATP 250, #5
I still look at clips of James Blake who could whack a forehand with the best of them! Always fun to see great forehands. Thanks for putting them out there altogether.
Roger number 1, no questions asked. There's nothing he wasn't good at with it. Top level of precision, spin, power, versatility, defence and unmatched beauty
Delpo
Sampras
Federer
Lendl
You've got to be kidding that Fernando Gonzalez isn't the #1 Forehand in history!
It's about perfection of every aspects of the shot. Gonzalez's forehands were just powerful.
@@andreaho😅😅
Delpo
Sampras
Federer
Lendl
1.Federer
2.Gonzalez
3.Delpo
4.Bjon borg
5.Sampras
6.Edberg
7.Djokovic
8.Lendl
9.Nadal
10.Agassi
@@andreaho Lmfao. It's also has good precision and great while on the defense.
Now it's Alcaraz
You forgot the real number 1 instead of just picking succesfull players Alberto Berasategui had the most impacting forehand and won many games with it how he is not on the list is a joke
Absolutely agree- people too obsessed with now but need to go back 20 odd years.
Extreme grip and limitated results ?
@@drejtoman2974 the video is about Best forhands... not results right and his forehand was one of the Best ever if he had a better backhand he would have won some grandslams
Can’t take any video seriously that doesn’t put Jim Courier’s forehand in the top 10 😂. Was one of the best ever, without question
According to what criteria?
I got it now; the reason of Nadal and Federer all had face down before pull; this is the difference between straight pull and twist pull. More muscle used in twist and result with more power and less fatigue.
Fernando gonzalez, del potro, federer, nadal, wawrinka, djokovic, soderling, monfils.
In order? Or it's joke?
Sinner should be here. Best forehand I’ve ever seen
In my opinion the choice for top forehands is the same as the top players of all time. There’s a couple acceptable answer, the rest are miles behind.
Fraulein Forehand Steffi Graf won 22 grand slam singles with that perfect wallop. You cannot argue against that. She didn't make it to your list? You guys should look in the mirror and say "I can only judge by what I have seen. Tennis before me does not matter and because of that, I cannot rightfully judge the greatest forehands of all time."
Love Monfils, but when he was ahead of Lendl, I stopped the list right there.
It get's worse, Djokovic ahead of him, Agassi, Sampras...
@@LuLu-nw6bi djokovic has one of the best forehands i have ever seen he is not top 5 for sure but deserve a top 10 spot. Sampras, federer, nadal and gonzalez are better of course
@@Logan00710 You haven't seen that many forehands then.
best Fh by what standard?
Where are Jim Courier or Berasategui? Monfils and Verdasco Top Ten and better when Lendl? Really?
Roger not being number one here is hilarious. He has the power, spin, consistency, and variety. Some players hit harder, Nadal may hit heavier, but overall, you can't beat Roger.
Someone called Fernando Gonzalez beat RF in every department you mentioned in the FH, he even feared that shot coming at him, so the one here being hilarious is you
@@sebastiancastellanos6165 No, Gonzalez’s had nothing besides power
Nadal does have the greatest forehand of all time.
@@sebastiancastellanos6165the only clips I’ve seen of Gonzalez forehand is him just whacking balls as hard as he could. None had any variety
Gonzales
regardless of the movement, the most destructive forehand i have seen is from Verdasco
Federer: best forehand all the time.
Lendl's forehand is the best in history, just perfection. Among many, Sampras and Federer have copied his style, using larger and more modern rackets. Also, Jim Courier said that he has never seen any forehand as powerful as the one from Lendl. Give the Adidas racket that Lendl used to play with to all the modern tennis players, and you will see who has the best forehand...
Jack Sock definitely deserves a place here!
Definitely not the most elegant beforehand but still awesome.
The best Forehand in history::
1- F. González
2- R. Soderling
3- R.Nadal
4- J. del Potro
5- A. Roddick
6- R. Federer
7- P. Sampras
8- F. Verdasco
9- A. Berasategui
10- M. Safin.
Roddick better forehand than Federer? Lol
Gonzales only win a ATP 250? Number 1? Better than Federer, Nadal, Alcaraz, Delpo? All winner Grand Slam? 😂😂😂 yiu should be chilean 😅😅
Well obviously not an old school tennis fan. Agassi at ten Llendle at 9 Sampras at 7!!! WOW how about Roscoe tanner. Stan smith? Man there are some great that need to be here.
Delpo por sobre Roger y Nadal..??? Y fernando gonzalez...????
Totalmente de acuerdo, delpo solo le pegaba plano, la de Gonzalez era variada y potente. La mejor derecha del circuito por mucho
😂😂😂 both chileans? 😅😅😅
This video could use some music.
Gonzalez 💥💥🪨
Chilean detected 😅😅😅😅
Roger should be number 1
Djokovic ???? I don’t think players even fear his FH at all. Not one player named his FH when asked of shots they fear on tour. Sampras is top 3 for sure. He had the best running FH of all time. Every player feared his FH and would avoid it at all costs. When it went to that side he was so dominant and usually won the point. Nadal at #2 is a stretch IMO it’s a great shot but not necessarily feared like Sampras or Delpo or Gonzalez or Fed. Agassi FH is overrated he started getting overpowered on that side later in his career like someone else mentioned. His famous US open match with Blake was a perfect example. Blake had a better FH. Agassi for timing and taking it early and angles yes but not feared like it was when he first came on tour. Lendl should be higher IMO. And Borg should be on the list he revolutionized the FH
Fearing the shot has nothing to do with anything. Djokovic’s forehand is very accurate and consistent while still having power.
djokovics forehand is 10 times better than sampras. yes, different era, technology, and training, but that doesnt change it. fed is no 1 nadal is no 2 no question. then delpo and gonzales. wawrinka djokovic thiem all up there
@@bsrussian Thank you, finally someone else realizes Djokovic has one of the best forehands
@@dominickchuka5387 yes. His forehand is underrated for sure. As is his service
@@bsrussian Yeah they both are. Everyone talks about his backhand and doesn’t realize this.
Ivan Lendl must be included
He is, but blink and you missed it. Plus it was taken from one of those "Greats of the Game" nights where you get to see how out of shape your past heroes have become. Exception: (blatant sexism alert) Chris Evert and Gabriella Sabatini still looked HHHOT! 🥵
Are you kidding me right now!!? Federer has the best forehand ever!
The guy made this without any sound and people came to discuss who has the best forehands. It's funny.
Why have a list of 10? What are you comparing really? Every one of them had his own style. This is useless
If you don’t like, you can leave.😆🙃
I would add Andy Roddick and maybe a few other players who had their forehands first class weapons especially when compared with their backhands...James Blake, Alberto Berasategui,Nick Kyrgios, etc.
who the fuck even is Alberto Berastegui
@@bsrussian a unique tennis player who used his racket like a chistera, hitting the ball with the BACK of his sieve.
With all due respect, I did not find this list very historical. I mean, where's Rod "The Rocket" Laver, a man with such a booming, heavy forehand that his dominant-side arm muscles made him look like a human crab? And no Bjorn Borg, father of the modern forehand. And only one clip of a rather sad-looking, post-prime Ivan Lendl, a man known for his superb fitness, one of the first "fitness freaks" in tennis. Sure, finding slow-motion footage of past greats is impossible, but why call it historical if it's taken exclusively from a list of the most popular players in the last few decades of the game? Just my opinion, but I think I have a point here, no?
P.S. And Sampras? Serve, yes. Volley, yes. Forehand? Mighta been good, mighta been great, but greatest of all time? Uh...no.
And Krickstein
Forehand of Tsitsipas is much more better than many players here
Wawrinka!!
They chose the worst clips to represent the amazingness of their forehands.
Where is Kent Karlson?
Better yet, WHO is Kent Karlson?
@@JamesDavisakaRemguy he was the BEST player on Clay...the King of the lifted strikes... Injures keep him from Roland Garros...a really good one.
Bjorn Borg
Jim Courier is missing here!
Do you agree with our top ten forehands list?
Nadal top 1, this is very obvious
Your list of players with top 10 greatest tennis forehands in History is based on....my question is what determines the best forehand player in history....what are criterias? Is this a fluidity and effortless technique? The most forehand winners hit throughout the particular player's career? The highest consistency combined with high spin rates and speed of the ball? And what about players that played in the different eras such as Rod Laver, Pancho Gonzales, Bjorn Borg? Otherwise the list is fine...maybe except Gael Monfils who is in my opinion not a forehand dominant player...I would choose Matteo Berretini or Andy Roddick or James Blake or Jack Sock or even Nick Kyrgios instead
Would include Kyrgios
@@Skiiiiiifreeeeeee Djokovic definitely has one of the best forehands on tour right now. Perhaps the third best in fact. So while his game isn't based on his forehand, his forehand is nonetheless amazing in its own right. And I don't really think we're looking at achievements in this list, but technique, power, aesthetic. So Delpo, Verdasco, etc. definitely deserve to be here for the pure technical prowess of their forehands.
For me, I'd go so far as to say that Sampras doesn't have an amazing forehand: nothing special about it like Agassi's (taking balls on the rise). But that's just an opinion. Bjorg definitely deserves to be here more than him. And I don't think Murray deserves to be here either.
I beg to disagree, define “Greatest” , if its power, then Potro, Gonzelaz, verdasco are above big 3. If effectiveness, then Sampras ( with his additional uniqueness for running forehand) Federer and Nadal are the greatest. Just my opinion.
No Robin Soderling? Common dude!
I guess you forgot Rodick. Muster too.
Verdasco & monfils in and Fernando Gonzalez out?
federer is above nadal cmon now
Fernando González should be #1
😅😅😅 your dreams, number 10 deserved
Nadal should be first and the rest follow. Seriously every tennis fan knows he's got the best forehand ever.
No
Sampras 7°? What a f... my friend!
Sampras did not play forehand better than Safin,Hewitt of Philipouses.
@@thebigmonstaandy6644 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wawrinka is not included? 😲
Known for his (awesome) backhand. His forehand is rather ordinary and at times unreliable. Don't get me wrong, I love Stan the Man!
Putting Del Potro over Gonzalez and Nadal gotta be one of the biggest indicator of someone who doesn't know about tennis.
Who said? A chilean? 😁😁😁 first you have to learn more tennis little boy
Chilean opinion doesn't matter
Delpo
Sampras
Federer
Lendl
Where is sodering, only player who can hit winner to rafa on clay
And wawrinka
soderlin and wawrinka are very inconsistent and both crack on forehand side when they play badly, both have powers but not any other attribution to consider best forehands
Agassi #10? GTFO. He’s definitely in the top 5 all time.
than you should see Agassi vs Blake/Ferrero,or Agassi vs Gonzales or Federer.
This players outplayed Andre on forehand side.
Andre had average forehand. If you see Agassi_Blake,Agassi-Moya,Agassi-Nalbadian Matches ,you would recognize, that other players had much better forehands.Sampras had grear forehand till Hewit,Safin came.See Sampras-Hewitt,Sampras-Safin Matches
Lol.
@@SonateSonate Lol.Blake outplayed Andre on the forehand side
@@thebigmonstaandy6644 how does that make his forehand "average"?
@@SonateSonate he was not able to make a lot of winners.also inside out forehand was not great.if you see Blake-Agassi or Ferrero-Agassi ,you would recognise, that Ferrero and Blake dominate rallys with forehand.
@@thebigmonstaandy6644 Agassi is a Bolletieri Academy player aka the big forehand academy (Courier, Krickstein) so I don't know how you can call his forehand "average". Blake forehand was a hit or miss shot, not very much security in it. Ferrero's was a deadly weapon for sure. Hewitt's was actually average, his main asset was his never die attitude, he didn't have a killer shot in him.
This is just too controversial.
monfils at 8... wtf is this list
Monfils shouldn't even be on this list.. Guys like Becker had better forehands. Gonzalez better than Federer?
. You've gotta be kidding
great footage but this list is horrible lolol
🥇federer,nadal
🥈del potro
🥉gonzalez
Trash list
Is that a joke ?
Qualify this as Men Tennis only.
Remove Sampras
Yup. He was a S&V player (one of the greats), but his groundies were in the "good-not-great" category. He could _probably_ beat me, though...with a frying pan and blindfolded.
You guys never watched Sampras game, surely.
His FH was amazing, probably the best of all time
@@djokovicgreatest8720 He did not play his forehand better than Safin,Hewitt of Philipouses
