10/10 good
Love these, very well done! Just wondered why you didn’t use your cnc for the original cutting of each ‘squiggle’? Would this possibly cut down on sanding, or just create more variation?
Thanks! If I ever make a lot of these, I’ll definitely use the CNC. But for just the one set I figured it would be cool to show it being made without the CNC. Especially for those that might want to buy the template and make a set themselves.
Ahh, of course! Good luck with the templates, these are original and I expect you’ll do really well! I will keep watching with interest!
hey John, love your pieces. curious which bandsaw do you use?
Thanks Toni! I have the Rikon 10-326.
Really amazing work, John! 😃
They look beautiful!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Nice job John! Thanks for sharing the video with us!👍💖😎JP
Very nice. Interesting shape. The black finish works very well. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.👍🙂
Great project! Thanks for sharing the problem sharpie cause, I use sharpie all the time in the shop but now will think twice when close to finish edge. Happy Easter John!
From the thumbnail I thought these were chairs at first. Would make a cool chair design if leaned back a bit.
Those look really cool and the black works well with it. I can especially see the black working for wood shelves.
Thank you!
I think these would look great with any color. Great work, as usual~!!
They look fantastic!
Thanks Stephane!
Nice job.
Thanks!
This screams "flag".
I actually like the black more than the white oak! It does look a bit more on the serious side but the squiggle keeps it fun… restrained but not-ordinary, just the way I like it. The black also pops against the books! I can see these looking fantastic atop some walnut shelves or a sideboard
Thanks Caitlin! I’ve been wanting to do some more ‘ebonized’ projects so this seemed like a good chance to do it, especially with the sharpie issue!
I love the squiggles! There’s so much you can do with them.
Thanks Terri!
Nice job! They look great, I like the black.
Thanks!
Excelente proyecto muy bien desarrollado y mejor ejecutado , unos reposa/libros muy originales , gracias por compartir tanto ingenió y conocimientos , un saludo cordial y por supuesto un gran like desde Narón (Galicia) 🤓 🔝
So cool!

Black is a good contrasting colour with the books, I like it. Great idea. Cheers
Dig it!
