    Its crazy, I have found out through doing just this drill at my place, is the more speed you carry into the corner the better I go through the rut, check my feet every time I do the corner, becoming more and habit. Repetition is key. It also helps stop chopping the throttle trough the corner too. Great channel!!!!

    He stuck that rut once he got the placement right. The difference in speed and balance was phenomenal.

    Really appreciate these videos, went from riding street bikes for 15 years to buying an 02 kx250 and it's been a steep learning curve. Ate some real bad shit last weekend but these videos have been getting me to be conscious of my body positioning and the difference it makes.

    Do you have any specific tips for GNCC or harescramble racing? I'd like a video like that.

    it would be cool if you cut video of just the drill instructions from some of your vids, and posted a playlist. Probly alot of work but it would be super helpfull.

    What indicators you use to know when to stand or sit in the corner?

    How can we prepare for race mode? As in a 20 min practice session is nothing compared to a 15 min race. Is there any kind of training that would help that besides just racing??

    Here's a good question, is it better to keep your head level with the bars when leaning in corners or level with the the horizon?

    • @storm5013
      @storm5013 4 роки тому +2

      This was addressed in some of his other videos, you want to keep your head and upper body as vertical as possible with respect to the horizon. Higher level riders do sometimes lean with the bike in certain corners however they keep their elbows bent up and/or away from the inside of the corner. When lower level riders lean with the bike they tend to drop their inside elbow towards the ground which will almost always lead to a tip over or foot dab to correct the imbalance.

    • @AjCatanzaro
      @AjCatanzaro  4 роки тому +3

      We didn’t end of getting shot of it. Line up the tape on seat with the foot pegs

  • @gagecooper5112
    @gagecooper5112 4 роки тому

    What are your thoughts on oversized foot pegs vs stock? Especially for taller riders with bigger feet?

    • @AjCatanzaro
      @AjCatanzaro  4 роки тому

      I don’t know if oversized is necessary. But I a good sharp footpeg is wicked important

  • @CommieHunter7
    @CommieHunter7 4 роки тому

    Why do riders end up knees forward? I know I do it, but is it because it's more work to be in the right position, or is it mental, trying to get closer to the front wheel because that's where we feel control?

    • @AjCatanzaro
      @AjCatanzaro  4 роки тому +1

      Great question. I’m not really sure. I would guess that keeping your knees forward allows you to easier extend your elbows and get your head back. And natural instinct would be to have your head back instead of forward where it should be

  • @James_Cook_6
    @James_Cook_6 4 роки тому +1

    So do you want your knees back throughout the whole track or just when braking??????

    • @VlogEpicness
      @VlogEpicness 4 роки тому +2

      Knees back and chest over the bars is the attack position. I wouldn’t say it’s for the whole track but it’s a great position for braking or accelerating.

    • @AjCatanzaro
      @AjCatanzaro  4 роки тому +1

      Pretty much anytime you’re standing up
