I can see why..
One of the world's great luxury is now at a bargain. Handling is smooth, all buttons are still working. It is hard to say no to this car if I still have some space in my garage.
Thank you Mr. Myco for allowing me to enjoy this long-lasting great.

Everytime I’ve saw this model speeding on highway, I’ve always imagined Princess Diana.
Sad story indeed. A very big and tank-like car can be destroyed as such.
Dad used to drive this. I hate the car because of the strong leather seat smell. And then the smell became worse after hauling durian. It have a distinct loud engine/radiator fan noise that can be heard from far away, but all that noise gone when you close the door.
Yea, it really can either you love it or hate it. Myself in particular love the smell of old BMWs and Audis. For Merc, so far depending on the model somehow. :)

The s280 was also a 3 litre car if I’m not mistaken
It's 2.8 litre
Initially there was a 300SE with a 3.0 liter M104, the 3.0 was also available in the R129 and W124 as the 300-24 valve versions, later versions (facelift) were S280, which were 2.8 liters and S320 which was 3.2 liters, also of the M104 6 inline engine family.
@Caleb Orvik - this model is a 2.8 litre model. Agree with @Izrealeu, there are multiple variant available.
Fuel economy?
@moh hana - it's pretty age and heavy vehicle, but cannot expect to be economical. This probably one of the vehicles you need to drive with hear, but not with brain :)
Is it true the automatic transmission has four gears?

No, facelift models have 5 speeds 722.6 transmissions.
Great video sir, after seeing this i want to find one W140, you jalan2 at all the normal roads that i used often. W140 certainly is comfy ride, better than my W210 E240.
@@Izrealeu does the 1996 models have the 722.6 ? I'm considering of purchasing one in my area. It is a S280 year 1996. Just want to make sure to have the best gearbox option.
@@amiruladli7592 as far as I know all facelift models have the 722.6, but it is easy to tell by the shift lever indicator. The 722.6 has the D>4 sideways shift pattern.

Very sluggish car..
Probably due the age. This kind of vintage vehicle you more want of the comfort rather than the speed. But yes, might have some problem if to catch multi layers of traffic lights on a single road :)
