I really liked this video. I've been a piggy parent for a decade now and I enjoyed that you included examples of the sounds with visualizations. Your explanations are comprehensive and align with what I've seen in my pigs. I think this video was just the right length for the subject matter.
i'm glad my mom taught me about guinea pig language when I was in grade school (when we started getting guinea pigs, haven't owned one in well over 10 years but I had fun when I had them.) It's such a big help to know what these little critters are saying. Not many people pay attention to the meaning behind what noises pets are making.
Rumblestrutting can also be one piggy calming the other one down I have a boar who i bonded with a baby sow (hes fixed) and he will always rumble at her when shes scared- but it makes her lay down and feel comfortable so i feel like its also a thing that parent guinea pigs do to their babies ❤

I had to watch this video because I wanted to hear all the sound of the guinea pig and this was the one that I was looking for the chirping. To see what it mean. I have two guinea pigs when she’s very interactive making a lot of noises. And the other one very calm and relax.
I had a pig who had to warm up her vocal cords before chirping, so she would make this huffing/hissing sound as she got ready to belt it. I used to get her all riled up by going, "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh---" and she'd wind up and then wheek like an opera singer. I haven't had pigs in years and I miss them so it's so nice to see a piggy video in my feed!
@@iccinnamon Now that you mention it, I rescued her and she had been named "Hendrix" so that might be why!! I never knew why they named her that but it makes sense now... 🤣
I just got my guinea pig a few months ago and now I can understand his feelings and by the way my guinea pig's name is buddy thank you very much I c cinnamon
Recently Blumpkin was chirping at the top of his lungs. Then again about a week later. He seems to only do it when he isn’t getting bamboo regularly. He immediately stops when a leaf is given to him. I think he’s addicted to bamboo😂

One of my guinea pigs will be in her hide and chatter her teeth during feeding time because she wants me to bring her food into the hide *sigh*
