Yoshiki (piano) wrote this song for his father who killed himself when Yoshiki was a child. It’s a beautiful song, especially with Yoshiki playing the piano with his classical piano background. 🎶🎶

元々紅白用に作った慈善ソング、x版のwe are the worldなんだけどHIDEがこの曲好きでＸでやりたいって言ったらしいね。
This song is about Yoshiki´s father who died when he pas about only 10 years. He commited suicide and Yoshiki found the body. Even now he ask himself why his father killed himself
In this version I think Yoshiki says something like “one day I’ll be older than you”, but in more recent performances he says “I’m now older than you”.

これ、YOSHIKIが幼い頃に亡くした父に充てた歌詞だって伝わったんだとしたら凄いな。

学校から帰ったら亡くなった後で、布団に寝かされていたと話されていました。
本当にこの曲は私の中での名曲です。特に最後のYOSHIKIの語りは私そのものの言葉だと思います。(個人的です。)

彼女の人生に似た部分が歌詞にあって、言葉を拾うように聞いては心で何かを思い出しているように見えました。
That was Hide's favorite hair color.
It's not so rare now.
But back then in Japan, if an ordinary person who wasn't a celebrity wore it, they were looked at with prejudice.

As far as I know Koba put Babymetal together and he's not a former member of X Japan. So how do get "literally" created them. Influence for sure. But they didn't create them. @@stevechevy3382 No they did not in my opinion but Koba-Metal the creator of kawaii metal concept is a huge huge fan of X-Japan. They were one of the 1rst Japanese metal bands that helped set the foundation for JMetal. They sold out the Tokyo dome every time till they were banned because the fans registered on the earthquake warning systems. The old establishment was very much against Metal music and X-Japan, Ningen Isu and Show Ya broke thru the roadblocks and discrimination.
