There's a part in the outro of this song, where Yoshiki used to say "Someday I'll be older than you"... Now it's "Now I'm older than you"... Something like that anyway... On first listen many might think it's a song of lost romantic love or something... Then once you listen to the last part more carefully and know that Yoshiki lost his father to suicide at a young age... It takes on a whole different meaning... Possibly some of the other songs too...

Tearsの英語歌詞は、文法的に間違ってるところもたぶんあるし、Toshlの発音も良くはない。しかしSqueaky Chair氏も「この歌詞は好きだ」と言ってるくらいだから、通じないほどではないのだろう。ただ思うに、この歌詞をこのメロディに乗せてみたときに、どうにも英語本来のイントネーションとかアクセントとかに合っていない箇所が多いのではないか。区々たる文法の誤りとか発音とかというより、そうした曲全体を通じての「英語の歌らしさ」が不十分だったことが、彼らが当初、英語圏の音楽シーンで受け入れられなかったことの主因ではないか……という仮説を立てているのだが、この動画を見てもあまりその仮説の検証にはならなかった（笑）
