This is a great tutorial overall, but it's important to note that not everyone needs powder depending on if you have dry skin or live in a dry area. Sometimes setting spray is all you need.
I use a tinted moisturizing sunscreen underneath my foundation. It is SPF50. I wonder if that's enough sunscreen or if y'all mean real store sunscreen on the face when you talk about putting sunscreen underneath
I personally use a concealer that matches my foundation to cover up acne and also to color correct my under eyes than use a lighter concealer to then highlight so the darkness has less of a chance to peak through
On point, definitely on point! Moisturizer > spf > foundation/skin tint > two-way cake > loose powder > lip balm/tint/stick/matte -> setting spray ,, that's my go to make up Thank youuu for sharing!
BRAVO 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 THANk YOU! I’m 40 and have worn makeup for 28 years now but this is BY FAR the BEST introduction to makeup I’ve EVER seen!! You are beautiful, brilliant and delivered this so well, efficiently and kindly. Great job!
Omg I am so forever grateful I found your channel. I started wearing a lil makeup since the beginning of last year but I still think i'm a beginner and this video is so helpful.❤
Thank you so much for making this video! I really want to learn using make-up but always get confused by so many beginner tutorials. Yours help a lot, added it to my make-up playlist. ♡
I'm learning makeup now, and your videos are helping a lot, but there's still so much to learn! I have a request-could you also make some videos on eyeshadow looks for beginners, like blending and everything?
I am not necessarily a beginner to makeup however i never knew the best techniques via application of makeup. Your videos are so helpful to those individuals who want to master using the correct techniques to make the face look good. 🌻
This was actualy so approachable and you explained it way better than any beauty guru I've watched. Instantly subscribed. Also like how you used affordable products and showed variables.
Genuinely so helpful, thank you I'm a complete beginner trying to learn the purpose of each product to understand how to use them intuitively rather than getting stuck following a strict guide. This helped me understand a bit more of this stuff. 💚
Eee thank you sm! All my life I haven't been into makeup much cause I didn't focus on my face too much lol- And with that I didn't have any experience with makeup. This helped me understand a lot more so thank you!
You are a savior. This is what exactly has to be tips for a make up beginners They are saying for beginners but they always make complicated because of that I don't understand anything Thank you❤
Girl thank you so much for this tutorial! Ive always had a hard time with make-up mainly because I've never been taught correctly. I love that you actually went into depth about how to actually apply the makeup. Most tutorials they'll tell you but not show you. Best tutorial I've ever seen. You think you could do a eyeshdow tutorial one of these days!😁
Amazing video. Im turning 35 and barely see i need to start covering things with make up. 😩 plus its nice to finally see the proper steps. I grew up w only boys 😅
I’m a pro MUA You put on the concealer first , then foundation , then a lighter concealer under your eyes. Then a blurring powder like the one from ONESIZE. Use a puffer to tap on the pressed powder. Then add contouring to shape the face.
This was actually insanely helpful to someone like me who at the most uses some eyeliner or concealer. I really have no idea about makeup, so I'll keep your video in mind if I ever feel fancy.
Thank you. All the tutorials I have watched use way too many products and yours is the only one that matches with my daily routine. Can you put any video on how to choose the moisturizer and primer? If I use moisturizers, my face immediately darkens. I don't know why.
Moisturizer - Sunscreen - heat protection Foundation - lighten face Concealer - any spots you want to cover, blend with sponge brush Powder - to make makeup last
A life saver❤ I'm a real beginner who used to think i could never do makeup and how does it even work but now i think it's same as art you're just an artist and your face is a canvas
The focus of this video was foundation, concealer, and powder. I assume she didn’t do the blush in this video because that would be a lot of information all at once. Sometimes it’s better to just take it one step at a time especially as a total beginner
I'm 30 years old and never felt good enough to even try to learn makeup. I own all these things that i don't know how to use and often just wind up wearing a natural eyeliner, tinted lip balm, and some mascara. I've always wanted to know how to do my foundation and concealer, thank you for making this so simple for anyone to understand.
I just love makeup makes me happy and I love your tutorials, I think I binged a lot of them today while doing housework. I feel like your technique works for everyone even mature women like me. ❤ thank you
I don't know how I found you, but I'll keep you in my little make up treasure box forever :D Instant subscribe, sending all the love, keep these fine videos coming please!
Also - Too much foundation on neck is a pain, will transfer. If your neck looks too light bronzer is better because you can use less of it. - You can absolutely also apply with fingers, and with some formulas it's actually better. Usually thin light coverage ones.
Just a warning on the neck advise. I used to do that as a beginner, ruined so many shirts and it got messy. Didn't look great. For me what worked, was finding the right shade and doing makeup under natural light like at the window
Thank u so much omg I’m almost 18 but I know nothing of makeup because my older sis and mom is allergic to most of it😭😭 lowkey me too but like… I need to get my glow up
Mix an eye safe primer with the concealer. This keeps the moisturizer from causing the concealer to migrate---which happens to me whenever the weather warms up.
Wow I never saw someone actually address the BARE BONES of makeup basics and I'm so glad you did that cause I realized I was doing things wrong, I never knew about setting powder and would just go smudge foundation on my skin and go, it looked horrible just a couple minutes later lol. Thank you so much! Can you next talk about eyeshadow or contouring? Those are my next big problems in makeup
I used to be able to do full face but I hated doing it and I don’t really leave the house anyways so I stopped and then forgot 😂 Your videos are actually much easier to follow anyways thank you.
I'm 29 and I stopped using any foundation/consealer/powder in my 20's when I couldn't make it look good, my skin started to flake as soon as I applied anything on it and it looked horrendous. I didn't use any brush or sponge either, just my fingers. I don't know if the product was bad for me also but I did everything wrong anyway. This was a great tutorial. I believe that my skin has stayed young because I haven't used makeup (only for special occations or parties) but I would look better if I knew how to do base makeup.
This was such a a great tutorial, thank you for going through everything step by step! Can you make a tutorial for lip liner and lipstick combo? I'm not sure which color to pair together nor where to place the liner. Also really new to eyeliner!
Ive been wearing makeup for 10+ years but i’m lowkey watching this because I came of makeup wearing age in the beauty guru 2016 makeup influencer era where everything was sooo heavy and extreme.. if it wasn’t completly caked, baked, contoured and set you were doing it wrong! (which looked amazing for taking pictures but in hindsight was a bit much for me to wear to my middle and highschool classes everyday😂) so im now looking for ways to do my makeup (especially face base) that are more flattering and natural.
Nice you’re so inspiring and beautiful do you know how many older women in there 40s and 50s who are just trying to look better using the current brands tricks and tips thank you love always
Wonderful tutorial however I would recommend soaking the beauty blender in water then squeezing the water out. This helps the blender apply the foundation more smoothly and prevents it from absorbing the foundation.
My skin is sensitive so I can’t put too much over it- I also suggest using a metal spatula! Spread it over the skin and dab over with a brush or sponge. Nice thin layer and you don’t waste much foundation. Also it’s good to let the moisturizer sit for ten minutes before the foundation.
OMG I love u sooooo much i learned how to do my makeup because of you i was wondering can u make a video of all your favorite makeup and brushes that would be great ❤
Man, she said for beginners, and she really meant it! I feel like I can actually follow along with this tutorial.
You’re a blessing. Please make a playlist for all your beginner tutorials. In order from face to eye to brow makeup etc etc
just do it yourself
@@meyaguerude and unnecessary
@@Jude1310 ?
if u have tiktok she has a separate playlist called beginner tutorials- i don’t think its in a specific order but its v helpful
@@Jude1310 what's rude is demanding someone do everything for you.
This is a great tutorial overall, but it's important to note that not everyone needs powder depending on if you have dry skin or live in a dry area. Sometimes setting spray is all you need.
My skin type is dry but if you’re using a moisturizer and enough spf then you more than likely will actually need a powder.
I use powder just cause my sunscreen be shiny af.
I use a tinted moisturizing sunscreen underneath my foundation. It is SPF50. I wonder if that's enough sunscreen or if y'all mean real store sunscreen on the face when you talk about putting sunscreen underneath
I’ve been wanting to see something like this for a long time, tyvm✨
I have very dry and combination skin if I don't use powder I look super greasy
This is the most straight forward explanation for a make up base that I've seen
I turn 30 this year and have always been intimidated by makeup but I would love to learn and start. God bless you. ✝️❤️🌷
this was insanely helpful !!! i would absolutely kill for a tutorial on how to cover undereye veins or how to eyeliner for beginners from you !!
Yes, please more beginner tutorials for everything about makeup. This was super helpful and non-judgmental.❤️
I personally use a concealer that matches my foundation to cover up acne and also to color correct my under eyes than use a lighter concealer to then highlight so the darkness has less of a chance to peak through
الله يهديك بس
On point, definitely on point!
Moisturizer > spf > foundation/skin tint > two-way cake > loose powder > lip balm/tint/stick/matte -> setting spray ,, that's my go to make up
Thank youuu for sharing!
I never understood what loose power was. This was super helpful, thank you. Can you please make an eyeshadow tutorial for beginners
Me too I always thought what's the purpose of this thanks to her now I know why lmao
She's the proof that asymmetrical face doesn't affect your attractiveness. She's really beautiful
Great job!

As a 50 year old, I really appreciate your tutorials. They are helpful, even for me.
I'm learning makeup now, and your videos are helping a lot, but there's still so much to learn! I have a request-could you also make some videos on eyeshadow looks for beginners, like blending and everything?
This is super helpful. Tysm. Will you please do a similar tutorial for contour and bronzer? ❤
This is like, the shortest and informative makeup tutorial I watched! Thank you!
Also, your makeup tutorial is amazing, your makeup looks so good
It feels like you’re my big sister teaching me about makeup. Thank you for this tutorial💕✨
Genuinely so helpful, thank you I'm a complete beginner trying to learn the purpose of each product to understand how to use them intuitively rather than getting stuck following a strict guide. This helped me understand a bit more of this stuff. 💚
Omggg for the first time i feel normal normal like everyone else broooo Kudos to her for showing what actually skin looks like without any filters🙌🏻
Wow, this one is the best beginner friendly tutorial i have come accross. Thanks Jess! Keep making short but precise videos 💕
This is so helpful!!❤❤ my makeup never lasted that long and was wondering why
Eee thank you sm! All my life I haven't been into makeup much cause I didn't focus on my face too much lol- And with that I didn't have any experience with makeup. This helped me understand a lot more so thank you!

Thank you❤
Found an actual beginner friendly video, please do more long time video for beginners please 🙏🙏🙏
Finding the right makeup color for your skin is so hard and something I see alot of ppl have problems with maybe you could make a video on that

I truly done my makeup in years, and I'm so grateful for this video. Thank you for bringing me back the basics ❤
I am beginner and i can honestly say I am beginning to do make up because i always watched your videos, learning step by step. Thank you!
I know absolutely NOTHING about makeup. PLEASE make some more videos they would be an absolute GODSEND. 🙏🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💖

I'm new to make up and this really helped me understand what everything does
Well, no, you don't have to use setting powder if you have immensly dry skin. A good setting spray will do the job. Otherwise, great video!
This was actually insanely helpful to someone like me who at the most uses some eyeliner or concealer. I really have no idea about makeup, so I'll keep your video in mind if I ever feel fancy.

Oh, my God, someone actually did it! Finally! You are a gift!
Let u know?bruh what was the need to do contour off camera when u said this video is for makeup beginners like gurl do it on camera 😂
The focus of this video was foundation, concealer, and powder. I assume she didn’t do the blush in this video because that would be a lot of information all at once. Sometimes it’s better to just take it one step at a time especially as a total beginner
this video was only about foundation concealer and powder..! blush contour or bronze are different category

before starting everything it really helps you get a smoother base if you gently cleanse and exfoliate before anything
Thank you! I made the first purchase of makeup in my life TODAY at age 23. This is really helpful.
She is very beautiful ❤
Thank u so much omg I’m almost 18 but I know nothing of makeup because my older sis and mom is allergic to most of it😭😭 lowkey me too but like… I need to get my glow up

The most helpful video on foundation, concealer and powder ever. Thank you!
We need tutorials on how to pick the right shade of foundation, concealer , contour and setting powder
I used to be able to do full face but I hated doing it and I don’t really leave the house anyways so I stopped and then forgot 😂 Your videos are actually much easier to follow anyways thank you.
SUPER HELPFUL VIDEO! The explanation of WHY for me is HUGE
Thank you 🥹
❤ lovely makeup . Really it's so good. It'ill be useful to every beginner
I’m 16 and I still don’t know how this works (concealer, foundation and powder) so I’m super glad for this video it’s a big help!
Thank you for this video, i often get confused about what to buy and how to apply, this simplified it greatly.

Also really new to eyeliner!
I have been putting on makeup for around 5 years and i still consider myself a beginner 😀
You're stunning without make-up, honey! 😘😘
How to be pretty like you even without makeup 😭😭😭💋💋💘
Ive been wearing makeup for 10+ years but i’m lowkey watching this because I came of makeup wearing age in the beauty guru 2016 makeup influencer era where everything was sooo heavy and extreme.. if it wasn’t completly caked, baked, contoured and set you were doing it wrong! This helps a lot actually. A lot of people talk too much and don’t get to the point pol
😅whew! Thank you for keeping it so real! So helpful!!
this felt like an older sister guiding you thank you 🥹
I love how she explain to us a beginner ❤ this is what i need!!! I'm subscribed for this
Nice video, but your skin is beautiful natural ❤️ thanks for showing us the tricks for the folks that need it 😅
Girls. Another tip. Wearing concealer as a foundation gives a flawless finish if you actually give it tiny drips of water on your face.
Can you make a tutorial on how to choose /what products for a baddie makeup look and a detailed instructions for beginners?
I'd like to see a very simple, everyday eye makeup tutorial
You literally just my comfort youtuber ❤❤
girl you are so prettyyy!! thank you for the tutorial, it was super helpful!!!
Me and my cuz thinks your beautiful and ur eyelashes omg girl u slay ty
Nice you’re so inspiring and beautiful do you know how many older women in there 40s and 50s who are just trying to look better using the current brands tricks and tips thank you love always

Ma'am... you are a *SAVIOUR*
So fast and helpful thank you very much!
I would love to learn how to pluck or use surgaring to shape my brows. Please can you do a video about this?
Thank you kindly ❤
I was always taught to use a concealer first on problem areas and foundation on top
Very helpful ma'am especially the one that you should still use a press powder after the concealer 😊thank you got some ideas atleast
thanks for the video, I do my makeup every morning with you🥰
Legit thought your initial face was the final look and I was excited about a tutorial on how to achieve a natural glowy look 😅
Finally someone makes an actual tutorial for beginners in makeup ❤
I was confused about when to apply powder 😭 thanks so much
Thank you!
That video explanation was excellent.
Esa explicación en video fue excelente.
