I'm concerned about the screen protector and case on the pro also. Do you think Google intends those with the pro not to use either because of the design?
Still using the Pixel 4a 5G.... Should I finally consider upgrading or still wait? I'm really curious to hear what a full hands on review will look like. Definitely been wanting to upgrade. I wonder if it'll handle live-streaming well, because my phone always overheats after 5-10 minutes of live-streaming...
I'm on the pixel 4a as well. Pre ordered the P7 pro because trade in value is pretty good. Around $300 for trade in value at best buy/Google considering I got it 2 years ago for $360 and a $100 gift card.
I have the 5 and I have ordered the 7pro and I cannot wait. Doesn't look much of a jump up if you have the 6 or 6 pro but it's definitely a jump up from the 5, especially if you went from the 3XL to the 5 like I did !! It took a while to like the 5 and it's a great wee smartphone but I really miss having a big phone in my hand
I have a Pixel 6 Pro. I really have enjoyed most of my Google phones and devices. I've had phones from other OEMs as well including a couple of iPhones but honestly something about stock Android just always appealed. I think my two favorite old phones were the Nexus 6P and even moreso the Pixel 3. But honestly the P6 Pro really made me wonder if Google was loosing it's touch. It was very buggy from the get go. And it took quite a bit of time and updates for it to perform much better, and even though it has improved it also definitely still has issues. The thermal management isn't great, I can't charge this phone wirelessly without it getting hot. Chrome misbehaves and randomly crashes. Gaming is great until the phone starts warming up and you can feel the performance lag. Google has managed to improve the camera performance, which outside of the main camera was a little shaky at first. This phone isn't terrible but doesn't feel like up to current flagship standard outside of maybe the camera. This phone is the first phone from Google I wouldn't recommend to buy. I'm considering the Pixel 7, if only in the hopes Google has worked out all the kinks from the Pixel 6 and it gives me that hard to measure or describe Google magic back, I felt with their previous phones.
I pre-ordered the Pixel 7 and will be hoping to trade in my Pixel 6 Pro. Pixel 6 Pro was a really nice phone but I have decided to go for a smaller phone as I prefer that smaller size. Please can you review the quality of the stereo speakers on the Pixel 7 phone?
How is the regular 7 green one looking with the gold camera bar? Unfortunately in my country I cannot trade in my Pixel 6 and in EU they are always more expensive, 650. Best offer I could find is 75 cashback. So still 575. Want to upgrade so badly, however it is at the top of my budget, if not over...
Disappointed about the size. I returned the 6 as it was larger than I was comfortable with. 5 was the perfect size for me and it's a shame you can't get something that size with wireless charging and water resistance from Google now.
I would love to see if they fixed the radio/ antenna for better reception on cell phone calls. The area I work has low signal and the Samsung S21 ultra would pick it up and still hold the call quality. But the pixel 6 pro continuously drops the call and also get issues with one side of the party hearing my voice but I cannot hear them or vice versa. Hopefully this is fixed!
I sent back my pixel 6A straight away because it had the worst 4/5G I have ever experienced. It was also warm doing even mundane tasks. Also the screen was not bright. My $23.80 (AU on a 2 year Vodafone plan) TCL20 is better in most ways except for bluetooth which is horrible. OK the camera on the pixel were slightly better. Maybe this will be better but I don't have high hopes. I think I will return to apple next year.
My main ask , for you guys as I haven't seen anywhere else so far, is this...Has the wireless reception and performance improved over last year's models? The cell, Wifi and bluetooth radios were shocking, to the point where cheap phones were getting better speeds, bluetooth and call reception than the Pixels. That, and the battery life, are my main concerns before I pul the trigger. I just wish, Google would drop Samsung as a supplier and either build themselves' or get TSMC to build...
My S10+ may be looking for a replacement. Will this be it? How's the battery life? Voice quality on the speaker phone? Is it good multitasking multiple apps? My son has a Pixel 6e and it's a lovely device.
I like the new camera lens frame and the return of the face lock was well overdue. The colours are a bit naff this time round but with those shiny backs a case will be a must again. For myself battery life has never been an issue on any Pixel phone. I've always gotten a full day from 5:30 in the morning until bedtime. Personally I'd go for the standard 7 as the pro is just too big at that size.
My comment is I'm less interested in how it operates as the camera then how it operates as a phone for things like making phone calls and being able to connect and hear the other person clearly. And also what the built-in speakers sound like because I often listen to radio and stream music just using the phone. And how well I can watch streaming video and listen to streaming music, and surf the internet without hiccups or delays. Maybe I'm The minority but I'm the kind of guy who just snaps very casual photos and does not really care about all the bells and whistles involving photography. To me this is a phone and a mini computer in my pocket. The camera is such a small part of my concern and yet so often it gets the lion's share of attention and reviews.
I really hope they didn't sacrifice battery life... I'm curious about if they updated the fingerprint issues from p6? Also, just the glitchiness some people reported...
But is the signal reception improved? I had a new Pixel6 Pro that I ditched after 1 month because I use a supermarket app for my shopping list and it failed to pickup a signal in 50% of the store along with being dodgy in some other locations. Replaced it with an Oppo Find X5 pro. Problem solved. Signal is weak but it works throughout the store. No more Pixels for me, only get burnt once. Lack of signal also wouldn't allow me to to scan my rewards card or use Google pay. All major fails for me!
If they only had a S-Pen (or let's call it a G-pen) with the phone, I would consider going back to Pixel. However, the P6pro caused me to jump to the S22U, and really like the S-pen. Oh well...only a phone.
What can s-pen really do other than Snapchat drawing? Except a Samsung fold (cause it’s basically a tablet) having a stylus doesn’t seems useful on a 6.5 inch screen
Well if your on a Pixel 6 upgrading too a smaller battery, almost same spec on cameras, Face unlock yes but can't use it for purchasing not secure enough. Better fingerprint scanner hopefully. I like the smaller size, but really don't think it's worth the upgrade! Maybe pixel 8!
does it have protect battery locks at 85% when charging, does it have dex like feature, can it customized navigation buttons like with goodlock on samung?
By trading in my Pixel 5 I could get the 7 for $200 but I'm going to keep my 5. Equal bezels, smaller size, and the rear physical fingerprint reader are must-haves for me.
Hey, I am moving to Canada in December. I had planned to buy the pixel 7 when I go there and replace it with poco X3 pro but my poco stopped working and mi service center is saying that it will need motherboard change which is 12,000 and it's lot the phone itself was 19,000. I'm saying wait because I have heard Indian phones have connectivity problem abroad because some it lacks some band or modems (IDK what it is but you get the point).
Since they are the same price, it would make sense to pre-order the 7 Pro because of the new and improved hardware. Besides, The Pixel 6 Pro is already a year old which means that it has already lost a large chunk of its software update support.

The pixel 7 pro on the other side costs 899$ in America, and 899€ here in Germany. And on top of that, you’ll get a pixel watch for 429 euros on top for free ! How the hell is that possible?? I will actually return my 14 pro to get the pixel and the watch.
Unfortunately, Google's underwhelming trade in value as you say, is actually the most offered over any other phone 🙄😭 I think $200 is a common trade in for pixel 6 pro Edit my point is video refers to Google being underwhelming compared to what. they offer the most compared to others
I wish they had better deals for Pixel 6 Pro trade-ins. It looks like if you want the best deals with trade-ins you'll need to stick to non-Pro models. Pro models do not retain their value and aren't even worth the extra $300. I've had a P6P since launch, and the bigger screen and telephoto are def not worth the extra $. Stick to the non Pro models if you want my honest opinion.

It's a phone, so I want to know if they fixed the poor signal/connectivity with the new modem? Does it overheat? How's the battery life? Is the fingerprint sensor improved? And finally, did they use a better display panel or does the base 7 still use a budget level rigid display that has the rainbow effect from an angle? Thank you.
I'm concerned about the screen protector and case on the pro also. Do you think Google intends those with the pro not to use either because of the design?
Why would an old phone case fit a new phone? C'mon now.. this is not an Apple device. 🌚😏
one thing I'm interested to see is the responsiveness of the finger print reader. is it the same as the 6a or the same as the 6 ?
It's supposed to be better, however they have added face unlock to the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro so fingerprint is not needed.
It's as fast as my 6pro but better than the 6.
@@NOLATechy I do know it is a different sensor but only time will tell if it's better.
I think I prefer how the cameras/sensors were hidden in the camera bar for the P6 range rather than being obvious cut outs with the P7 range.
Yep. The metal should've been black to hide the hideous camera cutout.
I have mixed ideas on it. It seems more durable, and it won't cause glare issues anymore. The new look? Not sure, but not ugly either.
I like the two-tone look better too.
@@BlaqMambaX Same, but I'm putting a case on.
4a 5g still has the unlimited photo and video storage which you might miss in the new phones
Would love to know if the speaker sound better now.
How is the haptics?
How is the quality of ultra wide between pixel 7 vs pixel 7pro?
Speaker quality
Is fingerprint sensor improved from last time
I will keep my 6 for one more year . I think it will be much better to upgrade at pixel 8
Love the look 💯
When you will get new pixels? And when there will be a new wallpapers from them?
My main ask , for you guys as I haven't seen anywhere else so far, is this...Has the wireless reception and performance improved over last year's models? The cell, Wifi and bluetooth radios were shocking, to the point where cheap phones were getting better speeds, bluetooth and call reception than the Pixels. That, and the battery life, are my main concerns before I pul the trigger. I just wish, Google would drop Samsung as a supplier and either build themselves' or get TSMC to build...
5G wise, the 6 Pro was shit. Idk about the 7
Battery life is terrible on the 6
My S10+ may be looking for a replacement.
The telephoto lens on the Pro is 🔥🔥🔥
Can't wait to try that hybrid 10x zoom combining the wide and telephoto camera. ❤️
All major fails for me!
ehh , think I prefer how the 6 Pro looks ... I'll probably upgrade mine when the 9 or 10 comes out
Great video! Thank you for your hard work
Wait have they fixed the fingerprint sensor and is the front facing camera the same 🙄
If they only had a S-Pen (or let's call it a G-pen) with the phone, I would consider going back to Pixel.
Does face unlock will arrive to pixel 6 pro or 6 series? I'm not sure about how it's works and if it's only available with tensor 2 or it's software
happy that it is coming to India this time
does it have protect battery locks at 85% when charging, does it have dex like feature, can it customized navigation buttons like with goodlock on samung?
By trading in my Pixel 5 I could get the 7 for $200 but I'm going to keep my 5. Equal bezels, smaller size, and the rear physical fingerprint reader are must-haves for me.
Have you got a chance to test fingerprint scanner on pixel 7 ?? Is it better than 6 or the same messy one ??
How bad is the battery life on the 7?
Hey, I am moving to Canada in December. I had planned to buy the pixel 7 when I go there and replace it with poco X3 pro but my poco stopped working and mi service center is saying that it will need motherboard change which is 12,000 and it's lot the phone itself was 19,000. So, Should I just buy the pixel 7 here in India or wait until i reach canada. I'm saying wait because I have heard Indian phones have connectivity problem abroad because some it lacks some band or modems (IDK what it is but you get the point).
Awesome video 📷
Should I buy the Pixel 6 Pro or the 7 Pro. I'm quite undecided. Thanks.
7 pro. New modem alone should be worth it.
Since they are the same price, it would make sense to pre-order the 7 Pro because of the new and improved hardware. Besides, The Pixel 6 Pro is already a year old which means that it has already lost a large chunk of its software update support.
Oh okay thanks. Since they're the same price that's better. I wasn't aware at first.
@@johnchibona8807 wait a bit, for sure 6p will lower the price very soon. But right now pre order 7p there is incentive…like free pixel watch in europe or 200$ gift card in US
@@EH-pe2sv Agreed, you can already get the P6P for $150 by signing up with T-Mobile. However, when purchasing the device without a carrier will result in paying full price as carriers often have deals/sales.
As a Pixel 5 user, I'm really excited for a more refined experience of the Pixel 6 I've watched my mother use for the past year!
Should I pre book it considering the history of pixel phones ? I have a very old pixel which in any condition I will change. So is it worth pre booking as the offers are really attractive.
Can't decide whether to upgrade from the Pixel 5. Really like the compact size but I also want a telephoto lens option.
I did that, if you pre-order the 7 pro you get a free pixel watch as well
What happened with the layout of the video?
He still 🔥
I'm DEFINITELY getting this, upgrading from the pixel 4a 5g
really wish I wasn't on contract with my 6 because Google is offering 450 trade in credit for my 6 to the 7.
Battery life on the pro. I'm disappointed in Australia at least if you want 256 gig or more you can only get black. Don't know if I need 256 good but that's what I usually feel comfortable with.
I have a note 10 plus. It's gonna be between this and the S23 Ultra... If the S23 Ultra has UFS 4.0 storage, easy decision. I love my old Pixel 2xl still though. Lol
Want to know about fingerprint and face security
Will like to know about the connectivity and the heat issues on the Pixel 7 series
Pixel Pro Mini please!
Thanks google for giving pixel 7 Owners 5 years of updates will us on 6 Pro 6 and 6 only get 3
I believe the 5 years of updates is only security just like the Pixel 6 and 6 pro. They will probably give Pixel 7 3 years of OS updates as they did to the Pixel 6 series last year.
"Sadly" the pixel 6 case won't fit the pixel 7?? When has that ever happened? 🤦♂️
As a Long Term Apple User, Google gave me a wake up call.
I bought the iPhone 14 pro for 1300 (!) euros even tho it costs only 999$ in America. And I didn’t got any freebie for pre ordering.
The pixel 7 pro on the other side costs 899$ in America, and 899€ here in Germany. And on top of that, you’ll get a pixel watch for 429 euros on top for free !
How the hell is that possible?? I will actually return my 14 pro to get the pixel and the watch.
Unfortunately, Google's underwhelming trade in value as you say, is actually the most offered over any other phone 🙄😭
I think $200 is a common trade in for pixel 6 pro
Edit my point is video refers to Google being underwhelming compared to what. they offer the most compared to others
Really ? I got 480 just right now .
@@deathblade909 where at,
I was referring to other stores not Google
Yeah, Best Buy is offering $480 for the regular unlocked P6.
If you do the Google store, $480 plus 200 Google store credit
400 dollars off i got with the trade in
Can anyone please confirm what the speakers are like on the regular pixel 7 please
Looks like something a corpo npc from cp2077 would use.
Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 11 Pro ... Should I wait or buy?
Idk that's a hard one seriously I love both google & one plus..... Matter fact I have both right now 9pro & P6 so good luck buddy!!!!!
Go for pixel.. OnePlus isn't the same brand anymore
OnePlus 11
Can't wait to buy this in 2 years.
We now know the camera bar is actual stainless steel, not simulated plastic. The Pixel 6's camera bar was easily chipped on its edges.
Only if the 7 pro had a flat screen
I say if you want to upgrade upgrade the iPhone ain't no different new colors and features u may want and it's more refined... plus the new macro focus
I wouldn't want to live in a box with no real file system and restrictions with only having the app store the apps and watching UA-cam with ads.
@@ziozvevo9751 complain. Complain , complain is all I hear look away you don't want to buy
@@pixelking_871 i mean it is your choice if you want restrictions. Doesn't sound like the right choice but it is up to you bro.
@@pixelking_871 wait i may have misunderstood your comment were you saying iPhone is the better choice? Just asking.if it was the opposite I'm 100 percent on your side sorry about the misunderstanding
Anyone else find that the audio mixing on this channel isn't good? Way too much bass. Maybe it sounds fine on a tiny phone speaker, but the droning booming bass is obnoxious on anything larger. I have to enable a low-cut filter to make listening tolerable.
EDIT: Before anyone tries to blame me using some bass boosted speakers or headphones, I am not. These are neutral monitors.
Literally the only thing I'm excited about is that new display. I can't wait anymore for the time when we will finally see Flat QHD+ 120Hz LTPO displays.
Questions:
- Does the Pixel 7 Pro support eSIM MEP?
- Any idea if the 5 year updates going forward are for OS and Security patches?
Definitely security. Not sure on software.
5 year Security, 4 year OS updates
When will this embargo ends ! 😢
Thought of trading my iPhone 11 to Pixel 7 🎉
I'm sorry, but the camera "bump" and the camera lenses just aren't flattering. It's like they took a step back design-wise! The Pixel 6's look more modern then the 7 series. 🤷♂
2:24 can anyone tell me is that a regular pixel 7 on the right side there?
Your voice... Sounds like Stephen Mulhern?
India. No sign or communication about availability of 256gb variants. Suddenly some No Cost EMIs are withdrawn and reduced to 3 months. And when asked the company about availability of 256gb variants, no response whatsoever. And wait until then the stocks supposedly gets sold out. As much as I loved the phone. Google you need to do a lot to catch up guys. And combine that with gimmicks of buying from Flipkart and out of stock tricks. Unpleasant experience
I happen to think the idea of the pixel tablet and dock is a great idea...I really like what they did there.
I've ordered the 7. I'll be interested to see whether wireless Android Auto doesn't heat up the phone and drain the battery as much as it does with my Pixel 5.
I wish Google would use an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
I got $484 for the Pixel 6 Pro and put it towards the Pixel 7.
Same ! And the 200 dollar store credit is dope
Does it heat up like pixel 6?
Need to wait till feb and compare it with the new Samsung 🎉😊
It looks like in photos that pixel 7 is matte finish on frame and camera bar while 7 pro is chrome is that sooo or am i mistaken?
You're correct. Regular 7 is matte and the pro is glossy or chrome, whichever you prefer.
@@CaseyDarwin i prefer matte will be going for 7 then. thanks
Good observation. I thought it was just me too but whenever they interchange the shot I was wondering why they look quite different from each other. I would avoid getting the Obsidian Pro because of fingerprints and scratches
@@fightnight14 for me matte is the way to goo I will avoid pro bcoz of that chrome finish.
I prefer the matte finish , plus this will probably be more durable. It will also reduce camera glare
The trade-in values on Google Store are amazing. They're giving $490 for S21, $440 for iPhone 11 and $350 for Pixel 5A.
I have a Pixel 4a. I love this little phone especially since it has a headphone jack and a fingerprint reader on the back. I do know the updates end next year in August. I love watching media and taking photos. I love the small form factor and that it has a flat screen, should I invest in the 7 or 7pro? With my trade in at the moment, they are offering me $300 trade in value, I bought it for $377.79 exactly. Plus the $100 store credit, I would end up paying $431.92 for the Pixel 7 with 256gb storage or $757.74 for Pixel 7 Pro with 256gb and a $200 store credit. There are obviously no reviews yet but, I was just curious if anyone had an opinion. Thank you!
I sorta have the same dilemma of if I should upgrade or not from my 4a since I prefer smaller phones. Personally, if I do upgrade, I'm going for the 7 instead of pro. A bit of a bummer that it doesn't have a telephoto lens, but my main concern is battery life. As long as I can get a couple hours more out of it than my 4a, I'll be pretty happy
@@Krossfyre I feel the same way about it. I love this little phone. I still own my Oneplus 5T because it was such a kick-ass phone. I usually use that one for listening to music via audio jack, playing mobile games and sometimes taking photos.
Where's the Pixel Fold? -.-
Same modem?
I heard it's different, but still Samsung! Fingers crossed that it will hold on to a phone call!
So I've been using the 7 pro for a couple of months now, here are my thoughts
🧢🧢🧢
Samsung . . . it's been nice. Hello Pixel!!
