First time I watched the video, I was confused why you weren't using the model's sculpted lace points instead of making the whole panel the color of the lace, but then I started painting them myself, and I have no idea how the ones on the box look that neat.
I wouldn't object to seeing you paint up some Gauls/ Celts for SPQR, Hail Caesar, or the like. Could be a good way to show off a pale skin technique with the right model.
I’ve been looking at my plastic Warlord (old Wargames Factory) figures for a good few months...I may attempt to paint them up (need to put them together though as they look a pain to assemble 😆)
Man this one looksamazing. I remember when i was like 7 or 8 an aunt gave a samurai set and a ww2 us aemy set. Myfirst ever minis. Never actually painted them but man you just brought back many memories. Thanks and awesome video as always
Ah Test of Honour! I haven't played this in ages, it was the first game I played when getting back into the hobby, I still have some models to finish. Haven't tried 2nd edition yet but it looks pretty solid!
What painting advice would you have to painting a early samurai 12th century ?This video gave good ideas for painting late 16 century samurai . Which is easy. Keep up with the videos.
Are these the same minis as on the test of honour website, or are they different? The warlord games website is confusing to me and I can’t find any samurai minis
@@PeteTheWargamer I've been contemplating it for a while now after binging your conversion videos, but I"m new to the hobby and have no idea where to look for the ideal parts like a properly scaled dinosaur skull. I think it'd make a great video if you decided to do it.
I love your videos and I love your painting, as usual, but I must say that I've built Warlord Japanese troops (archers, samurais, horsemen and spearmen) for a friend of mine and that was the worst experience I ever had building miniatures. Their kits are just badly engineered in my humble opinion. Weapons are not attached to arms and the first simply won't fit nicely into the second: you'll have to stretch fingers risking to break them...just to say one.
I would love to see you make some samurai skitarii conversions for a japanese themed forge world!
Benjamin Del Rio YES that would look amazing
I needed an inspiration for painting my samurai force and I think, I finally found it.
The turquoise was an inspired choice.
WE GOT SAMURAI PAINTING GUIDES NOW?!?! Awww Pete, you're awesome
When I get my starter army for Christmas, I reckon I’m gonna do the Date colours, the black, blue, yellow and gold is just gorgeous.
I have been anxiously awaiting another samurai tutorial from you. Thanks!

How does it scale next to cadian imperial guard? I'd love to use these models as fuedal guardsman

I would love to see your take on some deathguard hqs that dont have a model (etc. Chaos lord) or your take on a primarus version of cypher

Really lovely paint scheme 🙂
Would you be able to do some Eldar conversions? To make them look a bit more modern
Nice! Say... when's the next livestream?

Absolutely love it! For some reason I have trouble painting historical miniatures which I dont know if that is a thing?
Good Work but the sword scubbard was Black or deep red not gray

They're the same scale. 🙂
Do you think you could do a kitbash model of Remleiz from 40k Theories?
That would be pretty cool actually!

Hi, great video! How did you do the base too - what colours are they? Also are those flowers from anywhere in particular?
Can these be used with Hail Caesar or no?
Anyone know if these are NEW Warlord Samurai models, or are they pushing the old range from Test of Honour 1st Edition, etc?
They are the older plastics.
If you wanna know it's the pike and shotte samurai box or samurai starter army
Love watching these Vids. Very inspirational. Finished " Ghost of Tsushima" a few days ago. How are you enjoying it?
You should make a primaris sword brethren conversion. Converting the old finecast models to primaris scale.
Hello there
I love your videos and I love your painting, as usual, but I must say that I've built Warlord Japanese troops (archers, samurais, horsemen and spearmen) for a friend of mine and that was the worst experience I ever had building miniatures.

*Most honarabu*
Too bad the miniatures are terrible though 😞
