I’ve been really worried sick about my portfolio bc I’m starting from SCRATCH. I used to be a business student but realized it wasn’t for me. I’ve been doing art on and off since before high school and only decided now to pursue it. The pandemic really messed up my mind these last 2 years so I haven’t really focused on making my portfolio (big mistake!) Hearing your experiences and tips/advices really helped my anxiety lessen and I couldn’t stress enough how thankful I am for your video!!
I’m also in the same boat! I did art in high school and then carried it onto college, but I was young and I think burnt out from education, barely finished that course. I ended up hating art and not doing it for a long time, despite it being all I thought about. Tried health care and tried to convince myself I wanted to be a nurse but it didn’t happen, I love art (despite telling myself I hate it) and it’s all I’ve wanted to do! I have two weeks to make a portfolio and I’m freaking out a bit, but this video also helped me! If you wanna chat about art and art crisis sometime let me know! I have no art friends ;-;
@@laurak2460 TWO WEEKS?! That’s too short! I at least have 5-6 months to start from scratch if I want to join this year and I’m already losing my marbles😭 idk how you’ll manage that, good luck! I love art too ;-; I have few art friends too! ,kk if u wanna talk hehehe
Same here, I was in business school and found a job two years ago that I don’t think I would spend my whole life on it. This year I want to go back to what I love.

Can I include personal projects in my design portflio for university? Like an illustration of a friend or a poster for a friend? Or is that too personal. ?? And would I have to give them credit I I include a reference picture of them and stuff? Thanks!
