Just received mine yesterday and I was excited for the green strap and it came on the black with green stitching and looks so good that I can’t take it off
I picked one of those up at the IWC boutique in Las Vegas last weekend. I was not planning to buy a watch, but when I walked past this baby in the window....I have large wrists, so the OEM straps work well for me, and with a little practice, the quick-change system is very easy to use.
Lol right on! This is the best watch IWC makes right now. It’s a perfect size for all kinds of wrists, in-house movement, interesting case material and the dial is truly great…it’s just the right amount of “flashy” but also understated. I’ve owned this one twice now and this time it’s here to stay.

It’s a 20mm lug width so a wide variety of straps would work. Straps with “quick release” spring bars are super easy to take off and exchange and minimize risk of scratching the lugs. I basically don’t buy straps anymore unless they are quick change. (Unless the watch has drilled lugs).
Thanks for the very helpful review! Still considering whether I should flip my speedy for this or not. The Barton strap looks to be made for this watch 😍
My pleasure! I’d flip for sure but I’m a Speedy hater. FWIW this watch has far better WR, a day and date complication, and is actually useful day to day.
Love that model. Titanium scratches easy which I guess is not an issue but it’s just reality. I have the woodland and love it. The movement is basically a richmont movement not IWC in house
Titanium definitely has its share of pros and cons but it works for this version. The size is so perfect. I’d love to see a woodland in the metal. Love that color combo.
@@soundsoserious it’s a nice watch. I hit is against metal on an airplane and it rubbed off onto the case. A little WD40 + pencil eraser removed it all
I know I know. It was a very tough choice and it still feels like it may not have been the right one. It may find its way back into the collection in the future. Appreciate the support!
Thanks for the comment! The strap is from a company called Barton Straps and I got it on Amazon. Less than $30 and excellent quality! The 20mm lug width make it easy to find cool straps for this one. The watch was a pleasure to own and wear. Honestly I miss it!
I tried for a long time since watching your vid with new two tone band you switched. Still cannot find out the same design. Would you kindly link me for this?
The new 41 IWC Pilot takes a 20mm strap. The older versions though have different sizes so make sure you google your model number to confirm lug width.
Surprisingly good! I don’t feel “bad” using a $20 strap on this one because it’s really well made. One really good thing that’s happened for watch lovers is the greater availability of really good straps at reasonable prices over the past few years. I vividly remember just a few years ago searching for hours on all kinds of random sites trying to find decent stuff, and paying a lot more for it.
@@soundsoserious yeah I think it has like grey lume paint or something and there’s a top gun too with a ceratanium case which also has grey lume but it’s not quite as dark
OK, there is no Star Wars reference. Thank God! I think he caught the "Raiders of the..." reference.
😂🤔
Excellent review! I'm getting one!
Thank you! But…which one? 🤔
I have the IWC AMG carbon fiber dial already,....but this Petronas is different enough that I want one as well.
Very nice piece like IWC, this was one I was definitely looking at🔥
Great watch, love what IWC is doing now. It’s nice to see them back in the fight.

This watch is SO underrated it’s ridiculous. Easily the best IWC and I’ve owned MANY.
@@soundsoserious Thank you for the buckle info because I couldn't figure it out and had to come back here - Thanks !!
@@ronniebona359 it’s a little tricky to snap the tang 🤔😏
You always make watches look so cool!
Thanks! 😎
Hey it’s really a beautiful piece, luv the colour too, put mine on waiting list now 😁
It really is a terrific watch. The combo of titanium case and the unique dial works really well.

I also would like to know how to get different straps like you did.

Stunning watch, iwc make the best looking watches imo
Thank you very much! IWC is definitely back in the game. Terrific watches and I love the design language and style.
That titanium suites the watch perfectly
Completely agree, perfect for a racing inspired Chrono.

@@ripperx444 awesome tip! Thanks!
Love this watch and the Star Wars reference 👍
⚔️
...Star Wars reference??? What? That makes me want to NOT buy it!
Only issue is IWC bracelets are so good and yours doesn’t have one!
Very good point.
Hello where to buy the strap like yours? And what is the name to be specific..thanks
Just got mine yesterday 😀
Congratulations! Terrific watch! On Amazon search for: Barton Elite Silicone. Enjoy!
Sad to hear you moved on from Big Pilot. You seem so excited

Is the grey and blue strap from IWC? Also can you give an update on owning it?

how come you got rid out of interest?
@@rajmehta6210traded away but got another one now 😂 I missed it too much 😢 😅
Nice watch but I don't wear watches with anything other than steel or titanium bracelets so I guess that's not an option here? Such a pity.
Hopefully they will release a bracelet for this one but somehow I think it works so well on a simple strap for me.
How much is this beauty?
They sell for around $7500.

How long is the wait from the order date?
Good question. I traded for this one so I got it right away since original owner ordered it. I would guess 2-4 weeks?
The 41 doesn’t have a classic black dial yet that’s the 43
Ahh yes, correct. But isn’t there a SE with black dial? 🤔
@@soundsoserious yeah I think it has like grey lume paint or something and there’s a top gun too with a ceratanium case which also has grey lume but it’s not quite as dark
i think this is very playful watch
Very much so. It’s serious but doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Too big for your wrists buddy
Thanks for watching! Check out my other videos!
It's a pilot watch so it's fine. Besides the small Lewis Hamilton wears this and even the Big Pilot and they look good on him.
