Thanks. The S Pro was out of the question due to the price, but there are some discounted or mint ones around. It does have a smooth aperture designed for video, and twin AF engines for speed and video transition. Also slightly better weather-sealing than the Art lens (-10c etc) despite the plastic outer casing. Just control the aperture via the dials if the ring is somehow a problem. The Art lens is wholly re-designed so I don't think it helps to refer to the reflex version, especially when that version is also in L-mount so that the two could be confused. If there is an f/1.2 Art soon then it would be great to see a field comparison between the three.
