This was a wonderful, unexpected gift to the audience near the end of this concert. Ian Moss is an incredible singer and guitarist, This is pure perfection with sooo much expressive interpretation in love.
My favourite version of this song. All their covers are good. Mossy is great...as is Cold Chisel. I've always said that Mossy's playing is so underrated...he only ever gives you what the song requires but when you watch him play, you can see that he he could give so much more. Just brilliant! And Don's piano is always great.
I can't get enough of this cover of Georgia it's a tour de force, his voice & guitar playing was probably peaking at that point. Chisel didn't play together again for something like 15 years after the last stand concerts it's mind boggling really, Ian was as good a singer/guitarist as anyone on the planet in his prime it's a shame most of the world missed it.
Hard to believe this performance was impromptu and not rehearsed ? The official story is that Jimmy needed to run out back for relief, so Ian decided to sing Georgia until Jimmy returned for the next number. lol
Georgia was played many times by Cold Chisel. In this concert, it was the first encore song played directly after their famous cover of Wild Thing. It was definitely a planned encore song.
I don't know if you've done this, or if rock is even your thing, but this is one of the (perhaps the?) top selling bands of all time, and absolutely their best performance. AC/DC, let there be rock, live at Glasgow 1978. I suspect you prefer things a little lighter, but maybe you'll make an exception for an exceptional performance. It's beyond epic. ua-cam.com/video/s3nEAmt5AZ8/v-deo.html .
I haven't done this song on the channel, but I have added it to my list. Thank you. I listen to a wide range of music, so no worries. (Love Glasgow, too - lol!)

Whether the story is true or not, Ian did a beautiful job - such talented artists. Thank you for commenting. 🙂

I like to believe it was as stated, but when i watch it, it just seems too polished to be impromptu. lol
Probably true knowing Jim
Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Exquisite

Not enough oohs in the word smooth to describe Ian's performance here
Yes - that's true! 🙂

This specific version. It's a great song, great beat and energy, but in this performance Angus just levitates.
If you didn't know, AC/DC are Australian :D
