I noticed that too, could be a part they paint separately like Honda paints bumpers in a separate production line. Bumpers on Honda/Acuras rarely match up perfectly
I've seen people say that they don't like the look of this car, but I like it. I'm still a bigger fan of the Ioniq 5, but these are supposedly easier to get if you live in the states that it's sold in so I wouldn't complain if I had to get this instead.
It's dangerously powerful, which is GREAT! It's hilarious fun to see something in the "Luxury" price range burn out the tires. What's not really lovely is hearing it crash over bumps, rather than damp itself quietly.
Every time I am looking for a car explanation I always come to you I just got A Lexus GX 460 2023 and another 2023 Cadillac Escalade because of the way you explain this cars
The biggest challenger to this vehicle is its platform-mates. Topher said it: the EV6 GT will outperform it, and the Ioniq 5 will be close enough in terms of luxury and features to justify the cost savings. Seems like the real case for the GV60 is styling/prestige.
Genesis is killing it with the design of their cars, not so much with this. It’s in the case of “It looks better in colors other than red & lime”. Also, not a fan of black interior but the quilting looks great! Glad that they still retain physical controls for the A/C, seat heating/ventilation, and more.
i really hope this charge port colour match issue is just a model issue, with it being that far off from the rest of the paint is visually terrible, and wish you could option a rear wiper for low speed clearing
Cool option! May just be me, but I don't LOVE the mini cooper looking steering wheel... I bit cheap in my opinion for something that will be most likely in the mid 70k range w/ options
Love the look of the car, but the one thing that keeps me from getting it is the fact that the Ioniq 5 is too similar features-wise, has the fun looks, and is cheaper.
Looks like a Chrysler steering wheel. I hate a rotating gear knob. Hate the door handles (I wonder if they'll also freeze shut). I also doubt the fingerprint reader is any good.
Key fob, face recognition, fingerprint reader then start button. Kind of annoying after driving a Tesla where you just get in and go without any of that as long as you have your phone on you.
When you mentioned fast charging in under 20 minutes, is that depending on the weather or is it no matter the weather? Because I live in a state where it snows a lot and gets extremely cold during the winter as any Midwest state would, and I was just curious about this because I know Tesla had some problems with its charging even though that’s a completely different car. If someone from a Midwest state like me, got a car like this when the moneys right, would the charge hold in the cold weather ? If anybody can answer this.
For $70k it is much too expensive. Would just go with a Mazda or Kia at that price.... fully loaded wouldn't even come close to this. Ridiculous how much some cars are.
Only thing that I feel really messes up this vehicle is that cheap looking steering wheel. Should’ve kept it traditional. Especially if you’re spending 60K or more
I hope BMW sues Hyundai here for trade dress or something similar. At first glance, I thought the steering wheel belonged to a Mini Cooper. Then I realized it looks a bit “cheap” to be in a Mini.
Is it me or is the charge cover not paint matched very well? It looks like a lighter red then the rest of the car.

Yea noticed that too, really odd
So ppl can distinguish where the gas cover is
Plastic typically can look lighter but yes it looked like a bright red
Probably bc the charge door and fender materials are different? Just a guess, tho.
Was I the only one stressed out by the key sitting on the seat at the beginning? 😂 Jokes aside, great review as always, Topher!

A false speaker on the right handle you've mentioned is actually a place to install a fragrance cartridge.
Your are a great reviewer….glad that you will keep doing it until you are 90…..and the GV60 is a fabulous car!!!

Great review! Love this vehicle. That turning orb is so cool!

This is high up on my father’s car wish list, thanks for this! I’ll show it to him
Congratulations 🎊 on the milestone 👏 🙌 love it here

Very nice electric crossover! This thing accelerates really fast!
anyone else notice the charge port cap is a different shade of red? 0:42

Agreed. It seems like the center console switchgear isn’t being removed, it’s just migrating to the steering wheel.
It’s amazing how if you stop at a stop sign it’s pops up on the speedometer.
Is it “regenetive” as you said or regenerative - braking?
The design of rear of this car is quite weird😂
The wind noise is a bit high
Even on the futuristic mode, it sounds just like the Mercedes does

So the tires roast like on the Sonata N-Line..
Does it find charging stations on nav like Tesla?

It looks like a new mini cooper model
235 mile range will make an 8 hour road trip a 2 day nightmare
I’m sure u can take a rental car. It’s not that serious🤷🏽♂️
Depends on charging infrastructure in your area. Best case it'll add less than an hour charge time total for a trip like that.
Why is the charge door a different colour??
Wondering the same thing too. Some panels seems to have different shades too

You’re not going to find any chargers that can charge that fast so it’s sort of a non issue
The GV60 can preheat the battery for optimum charging speeds, no problem.
Love it! ❤
Nice!!!
Kinda what I think an electric luxury Chrysler PT Cruiser would be. In a good way lol
Steering wheel looks like a mini
What’s a mini

$69k ?? OMG!
Seemed to soak up that terrible pavement on Ford Rd exit pretty well.
I wanna know how long these things will last and what kind of quality they are.
If only it wasn't so hideous on the outside. Is that a mismatched gas cover? Looks like it's a different red.
I will never understand why they make EVs this weird shape
Aerodynamics
@@rjc-ii ICE cars need to have good aerodynamics too but don’t look like that lol

I love genesis and the direction they’re headed in, but man this car is so ugly
Sorry, the range is a joke.
It’s so ugly though, like a smooth Aztek
