    vimeo.com/ondemand/samklemkes...
    Time Travel backward thru the years with Sam as he grows younger with the passing decades, from a paunchy middle aged white bearded self deprecating schluby old fart, to a svelt, full haired, clean shaven, self-important, inspired but clueless 20 year old
    We can all relate to the Bittersweet passage of Time, but thanks to the mystery of Self-Chronicling, we can now actually go Back In Time!
    Put your seatbelts on and travel with Sam on the bumpy ride back into the precarious final years of the 20th Century in this Lifetime project .
    Sam is a professional Caricature Artist.. For over 30 years he has been drawing faces all over the world, all 50 states, All over Canada, England, Japan...

      Live long enough to live forever. I'll never give up on the hope of life extension, even if that possibility is slim..

    • @willowicious1
      @willowicious1 7 років тому +3

      Immortality will come about around 2050, but it will most likely be a living hell inside a machine. Emotion should be stripped away and the passage of time will gradually be forgotten.

    • @NeWx89
      @NeWx89 7 років тому +2

      2045 often seems to be the magic year I've heard. But futurology is weird. Of course it's based on statistical extensions, like moore's law is. So it is likely I suppose as technology is exponential. I don't think life extension will be one thing. Am guessing you're talking about the the upload one. Uploading yourself onto a neurological computer. Living hell? okey, I don't know why you think that. Emotions *should* be stripped? So you're in favor of that living hell.
      No, there will be more ways. The most obvious one is just the extensions of our own biological bodies. Diseases at old age will start to be curable, cancer, alzheimer's, parkinson's etc. That means living longer, and if you live long enough you might live into other breakthroughs. Telomere extensions, the removal of cellular waste, lab grown organs, cybernetics, nanorobotics, regenerative medicine, personal medicine, etc. Until you live at a time in where life extension technology is expanding faster than you are aging. This one could also count as a slow version of becoming one with the machine as biological and robotical technologies merge.
      A third one would be the cryonics or biostasis. Placing an organism into a long stasis of "sleep" until revived many years into the future.

      The Americas went from imitation wood paneling to drywall. It was everywhere back then we had wood arm couches with brownish colored cushions brown paneling everywhere and yellow shag carpet. It was almost as if we wanted to be one with its woody grain. Joining the planks and infusing ourselves with the fibers of their very composition. Existing in spacial super-position and resonating at the same vibratory frequencies. Luckily, we found out how much nicer drywall looks.

      I think it's just that he let his hair grow, and grew a full beard which happened to be mostly gray. He was mostly clean shaven in the late 90's except for the stache. He looks older again in the early 90's. Beards make everyone look older than they are, especially if they're gray.

      Probably has something to do with his maturity. You were probably acting like a 5 yr old at 19.

    Incredible. This really has put my own life into perspective. Time is something we might never have a hold on, but documenting the world as time develops has always been a possibility, and an important one at that. I am now a product of my own generation, and eerily feel the same angst you portrayed in your early 20's. As a piece of this planet, three decades behind, I thank you for this.
