The fact that I just watched 20 years of his life in 8 minutes and 18 seconds is the most erie feeling ever. I’m 17 and this guy has taken a picture for every single day of my life plus several more years. This really puts into perspective how short life is…
Yep, grab it by the horns and try to make a positive difference. When you meet your maker you'll want to look them in the eye and say you tried your best.
I come back to this series every now and then. I remember seeing the first video he did, which was 6 years and thinking the music was beautiful. And that video is 16 years old. I remember showing it to roommates I had at the time. Between then and now I've moved several times. Left the military. Came out to my parents. Met somebody who was worth it. Got a pilot license just for fun. Hired, promoted, quit, and laid off. God damn it's been 16 years. Is that how you're supposed to feel watching this? I hope so.
Honestly, NO. Life is long, and if you were to place a person in an empty room for 60+ years, they would undoubtedly suffer from extreme boredom. Many of us struggle to endure even a couple of minutes of pure idleness. The reason our lives often seem short is due to the funny way our memory functions, as we tend to not remember a lot of things. The only sad fact that adds up to the illusion of a short life is that the older you get, the fewer years to live are left.
shyman99, right! He did a swell job of keeping the exact and precise expression for each photo. I like the way his beard disappears, and then re-appears, and so on. And then it stays.
Imagine this. He started taking pictures when youtube wasnt even found. I mean, many people start such projects just to upload it some day and he was just doing it for himself maybe
Ive seen this guy every single day for the last 20 years and not once did he ever smile or say a single word to me....just stood there expressionless and gave me a 100 mile stare

This video gets deeper the more you think about it, we’ve seen him everyday for 20 years, his highs and lows but also every photo was taken at a particular point in time where some of us watching were babies some older, some us were getting married, we’ll never know each other but the common thing that unites us is the passage of time and how someday we won’t be here anymore. We should reflect on that fact and make the world a better place while we can for the people after us
if you take a look at the background, you can see how he moved from a small room to a nice house and a studio, you can even tell that he became a professional photographer, very happy for him! he made it!
The first time I saw this I was dating an architect, he was 23, he told me “come and see this guy, can you imagine? He has been done it for 2 years, and I was amazed”, he told me the music was great and we will see it in 20 years, we enjoyed so much to see videos like this one. He passed away 10 years ago and every time I listen to this music I think about him and how good our lives used to be just having coffee, watching European films, and kissing.... I miss him every second of my existence... he was young outside but a very old soul inside, he showed me everything and I learned everything because of him. 🇷🇴

We probably won't have any UA-cam feed when we are 90s because we will be too busy being 90. from what I've heard your windows become dim and the hinges of your door almost completely rusted _ The eyes and the bones of your house in which you live in.
@@jamesdettmann94 Doubt it, there will always be a video sharing social platform going forwards and I don't see why that won't remain UA-cam or something like it.
@@HeloisGevit well that's pretty short sighted. Technology changes very rapidly, and the one thing I know for certain is that everything we use several decades in the future will be completely different. We certainly won't be hanging around on UA-cam in 2070
I'll be 69 in a couple months, March. When I look at myself in the mirror it makes me laugh.."Is that really me, it can't be. Look at you"? I remember walking to school. My first car. Boot Camp. You'll probably seeing an old man. So nowadays when I see an older Lady I smile at her. A couple of years ago I saw this older Lady watching these three 20's Ladies at the store. I saw her wipe her eyes. You know that this older Lady, too, was just as beautiful as those three young ladies are. We didn't always look like we do now.
I found my old UA-cam channel made in the early days before google took over, and "Takes a picture every day for six years" was one of the favorites... Little did I know he'd keep going. Much respect.
The beautiful part of this is we've watched someone we don't know age and grow in a matter of minutes, imagine it's you, all the good times, bad times, the joy, the pain, all expressed in a unique way, I applaud the commitment, I hope you are well brother. 😀
This was pretty amazing content. I admire the dedication that he put into this project for twenty years,no matter if he was having a bad day or a good day,he stuck to it.
These types of videos are the ones that make me cry like seeing a stranger's life for years straight everyday is absolutely crazy especially thinking about everything that happened throughout that time for them
I started thinking "why am I watching this?" And ended up finding it quite a moving experience. I wondered what life was throwing on your path throughout those 20 years. Oddly compelling. Here's to the next 20.
I remember back when he did ten years. Such dedication. Now I see he’s back again after an additional ten. Gives me anxiety being reminded yet again how short life truly is.
I watched his original back in the day. I have been on UA-cam longer than him by a few months. Since March 2006. Come back and find this masterpiece. Yes kids. Time flies and you won't realise until the time has gone. When I started on UA-cam I lived at my mum's house and was aged 19 now I'm 36. I have my own son and he was watching a video on UA-cam which had the Carly Commando music on it which reminded me of the original Noah video. Anyway, sorry about the rant...
What I find really crazy is this is over 7000 days. So 1/5 of 100 years of life, which is 36,500 days. It's a tangible number that almost every human on planet earth will never see. So in short, dope idea but get busy living the wicked life you want! It's too damn short to waste. Much luv to all..
Johnny Joseph that’s because it’s not real. Look at the first 5-10 photos... come on now... I grew up in the 90’s and we didn’t have cameras with quality like these.. unless you had money.. and we def didn’t have them in the early 2000’s
@Aaron OutterCooch I want you to reread your comment and really think about it. Like actually think about what you’re saying and the thought process that led you there
I thought I was the only one seeing the soul dehydrate from his eyes? I'm personally in my 60s now. And I'm suffering from dry eye. So I make certain to use THC eyedrops. As it gives me a better outlook on life. And you can't be rubbing a leaf in your eye. Maybe I used to many drops?
Pulling the Strings If you’re referring to shooting yourself: Dude, don’t m. You probably heard this tons. But ffs man don’t. And I’m willing to bet all my limbs that there’s plenty more people who care way more than me.
Raven- me too. It reminded me to enjoy the time I have here. 60-100 years isn’t that long when you think about how old our earth is and all of the things that once lived here 😬 damn.
Been watching since the first 6y video. Can't believe it's 20 already. Every 20 year old needs to see how 20 years will pass in just 8 minutes of memories. This is profound, very moving, very teary eyed because I've experienced the same. Can't wait for the 80y video, no no no, I can wait.

7305 days in 20 years. 483 seconds of photos. 15 photos each second needed to reach 7305. This video shows about 7-8 per second. 1. If he did take a picture of himself every day for 20 years, they all aren't here in this video. Not enough images. 2. 20 years is a long time, yet he really didn't seem to age 20 years. 3. The quality of the images never really changed. I highly doubt that his digital images were just as good 20 years ago as they were a week ago. Cool video, but I am not buying it.
It depends on music you listen to while watching this video. Did not check the original soundtrack of the video. But Vulfpeck worked absolutely great for me :)
