I was Surfing for options to program a key for my 05 Accord, when I saw your video. After watching, and confidant the Autel AP200 would do what it says it does, I clicked on the Amazon link, and bought one. Then watched your video again, when I got the unit. Programmed 2 keys since, with add a key. Thanks for the great content, and giving me the confidence to go this route. Plus, theAP200 is an awesome little tool!. Definitely worth buying you a cup of coffee!
So great that I saw this video. I lost the chip in one of my original keys and thus it was not able to start my 2007 Accord. This device really helps! Thank you!!
I was using maxiap200 to program key for my 09avenger and all keys lost it asked for a pin for my car. It said contact manufacture or the owner. What is the pin that ists asking for? Where or how do I get this
The PIN code is required on some cars to complete the key programming process. They are a number of services online that provide this code. I once found a free pin code online. Just do some digging with your car info. Not sure if the dealer gives this for free but you could try. Be sure to have your registration document to hand.
Thank you ! . Your advice on the other video led me here. Do you have any recommendations for ordering here in Nigeria ?, without going through Amazon . Is the Ap200 same as AP200M ? Thanks
Thanks for the compliment. First, since you chose Honda as the free brand, it will only do service functions for Honda. So no programming of keys for any other brand. You can use generic OBDII on other cars though. Second, I looked up Autel's vehicle coverage tool autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage2 and didn't find support for programming keys listed for the 2015 Transit. You could ask Autel support for the definitive answer.
Hi boss my 2004 Honda Accord use to lose gas on acceleration and the car try to shot down when I leave the gas pedal it comes slowly by itself especially when I turn on the AC please what mostly cause that?
Is the check engine light on? You would need a scan. However, a rough guess seems that the engine is starved of either air or fuel delivery. A scan and fuel trim data will help to isolate the culprit. When last did you change the air cleaner element (engine air filter)?
Many thanks! I doubt. For 2 reasons, BMW tends to implement a complex protocol for immobilizers CAT. Also, I recently tried programming a smart key for Honda with this device. It didn't work. See video ua-cam.com/video/bLTwBMhJyAQ/v-deo.html
I've checked the function coverage lists of higher Autel as well as XTOOL scanners and they both list pin reading as required for that generation of the Avenger. I think the customer rep you spoke to is not correct and they should provide it free of charge. Maybe try a different dealership?
You will have updates for life for one car model e.g. Toyota, Mercedes etc. that you choose. Additional models will cost $21.99 per year for scanning manufacturer codes as well as service function & updates. You will however have lifetime generic access to scan all car makes. You can watch this full review on the device ua-cam.com/video/MoAqKrDBKDE/v-deo.html
nice video very helpful but i realized when using the Ap200 you can't add key unless you do all keys lost when it comes to honda . Do you face the same issues
It should, Honda/Acura use the same immobilizer protocol. You also confirm here autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage2 Remember, Acura has to car chosen on the AP200.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks , I was unable to program the keys on this TL . The scanner has been great for other functions though , far more in depth than the old hand held unit
I'm surprised it didn't work Honda/Acura have low level immobilizer systems. Did you approach it through the Service or Diagnosis menu? For some weird reason, I've observed that it may or may not work depending on the menu you access the immobilizer from. Try the other route.

It works with Honda Accord 2008 or just until 2007?
Since capability sometimes varies widely within a make, it'll be best to list the actual year and model of Ford you have in mind. You can also use Autel's coverage tool to check autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage2
I can't say for sure. I checked the Autel coverage tool and it lists 'Immo Keys' as a hot function under the Immobilizer module. Not sure if it covers all keys lost or how far it covers key programming.

From what I can tell. Every time he would program a key it would disable the other keys.
Not really. Only because I choose to show all keys lost in those situations. If you choose to just add a key, the existing keys will remain active.

Yes

Can I test activation with it?
Nope. It's not a bidirectional tool.
would this work with a key previously programmed to a different vehicle?
Yea
I’m wondering if I have a new immobilized key with a new immobilizer ignition would it work? Honda Accord 05
Yes. It will work.
Will this do 2015 nissan qashqai i-key ? Thanks
I doubt. Programming smart keys generally requires higher tools. It didn't program smart keys on my 2017 Accord.
Please I need you to help me upgrade my key and programming

So is ap200 all you need to do this??
Yes. As long as you choose Honda as your free car.
Since I changed the ecu, do I choose option replace ecu/pcm?
The car doesn't start, right? If so yes. Ensure the car is supported though.
Do you need a master key to do this process or only the new key ?
Only the cut new key.

I haven't tried, but it should work with the 2008. Autel's coverage tool for Honda doesn't do a good job at disaggregating function coverage by year.

Yes.
