- There were so many comments asking why I didn’t mention the epilogue screens from Resident Evil 3 and honestly I just forgot. But because so many of you commented about it, here I am, tidying up those loose ends.

I'm still upset that no other game had anything like these epilogues. I fully expected it to become a tradition after RE3, but we never saw them again.
Probaly when they did this epilogue they had plans with the characters in the later games I think they're playing it safe RE4 was still a good game with little negatives as well as RE5, RE6 had a lot of negative which is why they went back to the classic survival horror in RE7 with a new character because the others already been through this situation
While I like Leon’s, Claire’s and Sherry’s endings, Ada is by the most interesting. First it confirms that “Ada” isn’t her name and secondly it’s a peak behind the curtains to her actual personality: a very sad person who pretends to be someone else.
Wish RE4 and RE6 had given her more moments like that instead of just double down on making her Carmen Sandiego.
It was great to be able to have a glimpse of what happened after RE3 with these epilogues, I would have loved to see what happened to Carlos afterwards.

After dropping Jill off in Europe, he left for the Island of Forgotten RE Characters, a place from which only one man has ever escaped: Barry Burton, before promptly being sent back.

@@Immoralhag how was she shortly sent back when she got out of Raccoon City she was gone. If you're talking about the training facility to the mansion yes you're right but that took place in July the events of 2 and 3 took place in the back end of September so she was long gone by then

She was in the terrible RE: Vendetta movie.
I would add epilogues to Rebecca and Billy, specially Rebecca, since she canonically survived the Training Facility, the Mansion, and got out from Raccoon City before everything went down.
Billy was first mention in the N64 version of RE2 there was plans to make RE0 for N64 but it was later released for GameCube along with RE1 remake so no way he would have an epilogue as for rebecca they Probaly didn't have any plans for her
I think that Rebecca seems to be suspiciously absent. She's the only main character to not get an epilogue. Other than that I have a soft spot for Outbreak. The recent games kinda confirm that it's still canon and that at least Alyssa seems to have survived. So it would be nice to know what happened to those characters. And it would also be nice to know what happened to Billy Coen.
Ark Thompson doesn't have one either. The man's a major character
There was probably no plans for rebecca however we learned in a play that she was part of the BSAA and she's in the movie vendetta
She wasn't considered very important at the time. And why would it matter to know about what happened to Billy?
He is not even an important character in the story.

The US Agent who is "Bargaining" with Leon on his Epilogue was later revealed to be Adam Benford, the 47th President of USA who was killed by the Tall Oaks bioterrorist attack by Derek Simmons in Resident Evil 6.
It was Adam who recognized Leon's skill as a survivor and convinced the government to hire him as their agent rather than "silencing" him. Later the two became close friends and that's why Leon was mentally shocked when Adam became a zombie and Leon had to shoot him.
...too bad this story got told poorly that nobody knew what was happening in the opening of Leon scenario in RE6.
Wait, was Benford the acting POTUS at the time in Resident Evil 2 to 6? Or was Graham(Ashley's father) the president at the time in office? Who came first?
@@viv7810 Not Ashley's father. RE4 came out in 2004. Even if 2004 wsa the year he got elected, he'd have been out of office in 2012.

43rd (Resigned after bombing of Raccoon city) - 44th - Graham - 46th - Benford - 48th - 49th
Graham was the only President who was reelected and thus served as president for 8 yrs.
Back in the day, I was crazy for unlocking all of these. As I did each playthrough, I couldn’t wait to see who would be featured next. I remember thinking, “Even Sherry gets one?!”

I think Ada’s is my favorite one. It’s interesting to see her so vulnerable and showing emotion; and while brief, I feel like her epilogue tells so much about how she’s feeling after surviving everything she just went through. If I could add an epilogue for someone, it would be for Carlos. It would be nice to know what happened to him after surviving RE3 with Jill. I liked all of the epilogues though. I think they wrapped up the first 3 games quite nicely.
Like when she’s dangling over the pit RE2make it reveals what who she is inside an extremely broken person who hates herself. In RE4 and RE6 she just feels like a femme fatale boss bitch is so less interesting as a result.
I really love these epilogues after the game! They are sheathed in mystery, lore, and wonder.

I'm surprised Rebecca didn't get one since she was one of the few survivors of the Mansion Incident.
That's either an oversight or was intended, due to Mikami wanting her killed off.

If we're limiting ourselves to characters that were only introduced in RE3 or earlier I would have loved to an epilogue screen with the person"s face out of frame and no name mentioned but talks about how Ada obtained the sample of the G-virus and a mention of the mansion incident... basically an epilogue screen for Wesker without confirming it's Wesker so it wouldn't completely ruin the reveal in Code Veronica
They've forgot about Rebecca Chambers. Nobobody knows where she's gone after the first game.
The best we have are the S.D. Perry novels, and those are definitely not canon.
Some said that the creator didn't like Rebecca so there weren't any future plans for her of course she appears in a play that covers events that appear to be canon that she was BSAA advisor and she appeared in the film vendetta with leon and Chris and news source said she's supposed to appear with leon chris and jill in the upcoming film death island

These screens really add so much more context to the story and future games especially 5 my younger self had no idea about any of this which just blows my mind seeing new things in a game I played all the time as a kid.
It's odd we didn't get one for Wesker. Eventually we got his report, but it would have been interesting to see how they'd have slotted his take in this format.
Probably because Wesker was officially dead until Code Veronica. And RE3 came out before CV. So they didn't want to spoil his fate saying he's secretly alive in the re3 ending.

Another time you can see hunks face is in the Umbrella Chronicles version of the 4th survivor where you can see his face briefly in a reflection on the g virus sample during the ending cutscene just to put it out there 🤔
They should have had one for Carlos, kinda strange that they didn't.

The Darkside Chronicles might not be a great game but at least is some sort of continuation of events, when i replayed the games to catch up with the release of RE8 I made that connection with re3 epilogue and it felt great. I wish they would do that with the other epilogues, there's some great opportunity there to fill some gaps in the lore.

@@melvinprado4397 back then Wesker was not impale by the tyrant. He got hit by Barry and then he left the mansion and it was him who set the self destruct system.
@@fernathebest414 Is that the true cannon? I thought in Umbrella Chronicles, he was impaled by Tyrant and when you played as him, he used the progenitor virus to revive himself?
@@legatesotomayor9692 they changed the cannon over time. At first Wesker was not killed by tyrant, as shown in the Novels. Also Sherry was not infected by the G virus but then inRE6 they changed that.
Too bad Sherry didn't have any more family beyond her parents; Simmons wouldn't have been able to get to her like he did. The reason for that is because of the novel Underworld said Annette had a sister in California who Sherry liked and was the best criminal lawyer in the state who Umbrella most likely wouldn't want to deal with; I feel bad for Sherry because of that.

its weird that Rebecca, Carlos and Nikolai were the only survivors to not get a epilogue, especially since Hunk who was a less important character to the overall story did get one, honestly its a bit funny how re3 had this for all the survivors of re2 and most of re1 but for re3 itself they only gave one to Jill the main character and to Barry who had the smallest role in the story compared to Carlos and Nikolai

Nikolai fate is unknown we know nemesis didn't kill him because barry doesn't appear in that ending carlos wasn't a major character he's just someone jill ran into like billy hunk is important because he escapes with the G virus

I remember unlocking all of these back in middle school and talking about them with all my friends wondering what direction the story would go next.
Hunk is one of my favorite RE characters. Mr. Death, the Grim Reaper, Human Unit Never Killed…
It's such a bummer that we never got the game that these epilogues implied would happen... that proper send-off that gets the whole gang together to finally take down Umbrella...Jill,Chris, Barry, Leon, Claire, and Rebecca.
If this happened and if Carlos and Billy were present too, it would've been the most memorable in-universe crossover in history!
Resident evil 3 orginal always been one of my favourite games .one good and complete game .
I'd give an epilogue to Carlos. It was always weird to me that he doesn't have one when he is the co-protagonist of the game.
I always liked the bgm with these epilogues.
I remember beating RE3 over and over again to unlock every single epilogue, I was so obsessed with the RE as a kid. Then I finally got the last one and it was my favorite character HUNK that was a chill memory.
wish the remake had these alongside barry's cameo & jill's dino crisis outfit.(would add one for carlos alongside rebecca as she just disappeared from the series outside vendetta,5's mercenaries mode and a stage play confirming she's in the b.s.a.a as well as billy showing him leaving racoon city as in the original there wasn't anything saying he got killed by the zombie dogs near the mansion.)
would love for 9 if it was about all the main characters and their allies(billy,carlos,ashley,sheva) taking on the family as jill's makes me want her to be with chris if code veronica gets a remake(alongside just having leon with claire for it as that always bothered me with steve.),ada's showing her character deep down that the series could stand to show more of especially with leon/who she's truly working for,love barry being there for his team(especially with how badass his daughter gets.),sherry's made me wish she was teamed up with leon and claire in a reunion for 6(since sheva was going to be in it/jill feels like she should've been in 7 & 8 with chris.) and thought h.u.n.k's was a great send off to him.
that overall i do feel the epilogues both gave closure to the classic trilogy yet also felt like buildup to a huge confrontation with umbrella that got fumbled up to a somewhat anticlimatic end(from 4 having it go bankrupt off screen/destroyed on the inside by wesker to wesker imo being prematurely killed off in 5 alongside the potential follow up tricell that until the ethan duology was "they really didn't know how to have a villain on his level outside callbacks'.) that i think the series should try again.
I always found it odd that Carlos never had one , you know being the very game that he survives in with you.
I thought he had 1 with Jill with the picture of them on a boat....

Bits of Hunk's RE3 epilogue are quoted verbatim during Hunk's scenario in Umbrella Chronicles. He even says "The Death cannot die" in that game so if it was a mistranslation it stuck.
Maybe it was a sign that they didn’t think Rebecca would come back. But an epilogue for her would have felt complete come to think of it. I know the creator didn’t like Rebecca and maybe that’s why.
But after Vendetta we know that, regardless of what version of RE1 is canon, Rebecca and Barry survived.
I read somewhere that she was hospitalized to treat her injuries. When she recovered she would quit S.T.A.R.S. and leave Raccoon City; going back to her university for a higher degree in virology and/or genetics. Basically, a life as a soldier didn't fit her role, as we see her as more of a medic. Hence she goes into the more scientific role to help her surviving comrades in their fight against Umbrella and other illegal human experiments done by pharmaceuticals.
I always found it off why they never included an Epilogue for Rebecca.
Im gonna be captain obvious but; the one epilogue that should be added is of course, Rebecca. I hate how she gets shafted because mikami hates how shes written. But shes a vital part of the entire franchise. Shes THE first person in RPD to uncover the umbrella experiments since she was in the training facility then she and Richard discovered the mansion almost half a day before STARS alpha team did. Shes so underrated and underused.

The Clair one broke me... Seen Leon speaking like that, you can fell the felling of "betrayal" on his words, like "just like that, you are living us? After all that happened! Why?" It does put weight on the history, realy love the way they used to do it back then.

It made sense claire was searching for her brother leon and sherry would be holding her back It was the right decision because government caught up with sherry and leon and Remeber umbrella had deep ties everywhere and Chris was being watch and barry took his family far away from umbrella eyes this is why the goverment was blamed for raccoon city destruction not umbrella
7:58, well, seems like REmake 2 moved the wound to the leg. However, I like the REmake more because that explain the strain between Leon & Ada relationship before he meet her again in 4, I'm so excited how they would interact in the REmake 4
I much prefer Ada with the boss bitch persona turned off and we get some glimpses into who she really is someone real tragic. If she based off Nikita her past must suck balls I’m guessing, they should explore it a little.

Judging by the 4make trailers I think they’re gonna put her in a more antagonistic role again like in 2make she’s less cartoony in the remakes and treated like a actual terrorist not Catwoman.

Remake. They started calling them reimaginings to save face, because as remakes they suck ass. RE2make is a great game, but a bad remake. And RE3make is bad all around

Some additional observations in Chris's epilogue: I would add that he appears to be sitting outdoors, and I always had assumed his hand was actually shielding his eyes from the sun (after taking his sunglasses off). Also, taking into account the girl wearing the white and pink outfit in the background holding what appears to be a tray (not to mention the fact this is was made by a Japanese developer in the 90's), I would even go so far as to suggest Chris is sitting in a maid cafe 😱. But it might just be me.

I have come to love 3 i first played Biohazard 3 last year and loved it so now i love it.

I remember when I first played RE3 in 1999. I had pre-ordered the game through Software Etc. Doing so netted me 20% off of the Survival Guide, and a free RE T-Shirt! The shirt featured RE2, RE3, & Code: Veronica character models. I still have both packed away somewhere in my house!
Anyway, after beating the game once, I unlocked the Jill Epilogue... Needless to say, I HAD to unlock the other 7 ASAP!! My very first playthrough took me maybe 4-5 nights (after homework and chores at 13 y/o), but I had those other 7 Epilogues within 2 weeks! I was literally hearing "S.T.A.R.S." in my sleep...

Re3 remake was an opportunity to show people what only some thought was a great game in 3. Unbelievably, they repeated their mistakes. Us re3 fans are a rare breed. Maybe in 20 years this game will get its justice.
I liked the remake better then the orginal because they did more with the characters and you see how things took affect before leon and claire came the orginal focus too much on nemesis and I found it boring it was good that nemesis was left out of the title and I like how the mansion incident really affect jill
I remember being a pre-teen and pouring over every detail that each new RE game revealed. It seems silly now, but in 1999 is was a huge deal to have that static image of Hunk's face suggesting that there was more to his character than just a bonus post-game mode in RE 2. It was probably what had so many of us believe the RE 4 "Umbrella Rising" cover art which, sadly, turned out to be fake.
And it wasn't the only time we grasped for little details like that. The entire concept for Resident Evil 0 had come about from an extra file in the N64 release of RE 2 and was rumored to be a Nintendo exclusive, later canceled, and then later revived years after that. I think that if Zero's development had been further along at the time of RE 3's release, we might have had a ninth prologue for Rebecca Chambers, or possibly even a tenth one for Billy Coen.

Wesker should have finished these out imo. Obviously it'd be vague on who it is, but I'd say something like his CV organization finding his body at the mansion and working on him to create the revived version we get in CV.
I think the man in Leon's epilogue is supposed to be Wesker and she would be with the Organization but was retconned as they never did anything with it.

With how 3make ended, they could very well be setting up to remake code Veronica as it was originally intended with Jill as the protagonist. But I'm not getting my hopes up.
