A series of bizarre murders have occurred on the outskirts[citation needed] of Raccoon City, with signs of cannibalism on the victims' remains. The Raccoon Police Department's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) are assigned to investigate the murders. S.T.A.R.S. is divided into two teams: Alpha and Bravo. Bravo Team is sent first, but after contact with them is lost, Alpha Team is sent to investigate their disappearance.
Resident Evil is a survival horror video game developed and released by Capcom originally for the PlayStation in 1996, and is the first game in the Resident Evil series. The game's plot follows Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, members of an elite task force known as S.T.A.R.S., as they investigate the outskirts of Raccoon City following the disappearance of their team members. They soon become trapped in a mansion infested with zombies and other monsters. The player, having selected to play as Chris or Jill at the start of the game, must explore the mansion to uncover its secrets.

Funny things that Barry should only say "Wesker" but he instead waste the last words saying like "be careful to that guy..."
Good ol plot armor
They wanted to avoid spoilers in case it was your first playthrough.
Internet wasn't as common as today back in 1996, and they thought that traitor's identity would have been hard to figure out.
“What a monster. I can’t believe…WHAT THE HELL IS THIS PLACE ANYWAYS”?
- Barry.
"I've been clumsy" LOL...did he fall down the ladder or something?
I had never thought about it.
Imagine if he fell down the ladder.....
lol, after ALL THAT, he dies from being clumsy. Oh Barry hahah. I honestly never have seen this until now, and I played this game as a teen when it first came out. Crazy. I obviously had seen the death after Wesker, but not this. Only took close to 30 years haha
The saddest death for Barry Burton
true. There seems to be one where he dies in the lab. I'll see if I can figure out how to do it.
Nice, never knew you could trigger this in the tunnels, only ever got Barry to die near the lab exit. Now I'm curious to see how the elevator encounter with Wesker is different without Barry
I did it once, but I don't know if I'll be able to do it again in the game.
@@channellulugameplaysI think to get Barry to die at the lab exit, you must not wait for him to return with a rope after the second Yawn encounter. You have to proceed straight into the mansion basement.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try. @@ashyoung6134
Same here! Did you also play this when it first came out and thought you had done/seen everything?
@@ShockerTopper YES. Back then I could not for the life of me figure out how to get the Rebecca death scene in the Reading Room. I knew it was in the game, because it shows it during the ending credits. I did figure out how to get death scene under the stairs by the serum room, you have to tell her to stay behind when you first meet her. It was only a few years ago someone finally clued me in how to get the reading room death scene for Rebecca. You have to get all the way to Richard BEFORE getting the sword key. Do this and you will meet Rebecca at Richard instead of in the serum room. It never occurred to me to try this, because that would require you to make the absolute maximum amount of progress without the sword key, it was a backwards way to start making your way through the mansion, so I never bothered.
wtf - how come this never happened to me, in original or remake?
You've got to go a certain way.
In the remake he dies in 2 ways: being pushed in the pit by Lisa Trevor if you choose not to give him back his gun or be killed by the Tyrant during the final battle.
@@bigbossiswatchingyou4624 I’ve heard Barry can be pushed off by Lisa even if you give him his gun back but I’ve never been able to trigger it no matter how hard I try.
@Stefan-ji2ek yeah I've had him knocked off by Lisa after giving him the gun... you lose barry and the gun so its never worth it 😂
Wtf his va actually sounds really good here?
How do you trigger this event in this area?
Been a long time since I played og, but I think I did get it once. I think u go into the basement after the hole (this one choice always seals that Barry will die somehow), then when u meet him here, u pick the choice that makes it seem like you're not trusting him.
Can't be more specific than that, because I always got confused which dialogue choice to pick when u meet Barry in the tunnels, and sometimes made him die in the end when I didn't want to.
Idk maybe it’s the choice to let him go first in this area cause if i’m correct he gives you the choice to go first or to have the player go first I might be wrong tho
When you meet up with Barry in the sewer let him go first, but don't follow him, go the other direction. After you meet Enrico and return to the sewer entrance, you'll get this cutscene.
I found these in repeated playthrouughs by accident.
@@Onmysheet Yeah, this is it. I remember now. Kind of makes u feel like a dick for abandoning him.
