Hi Karl ! I feel like I'm taking a college course in body work, with a great teacher. I am 73, and have done collision repair my whole life, and still love to play with it, so its nice to learn new stuff. Thanks, keep it up, I'll be watching.
@@MortskeRepair I think we follow many of the same vids. I watch Mortske, Coldwar, Halfass. Puddin and I'm going to watch this one too. There are lots out there, but not many that will show the true success, failure and frustrations. I won't watch the channels that are only a mouthpiece for sponsors.
Shout out to the camera work, sound and editing !!! Capturing everything perfectly, really easy to watch format. And great camera angles, fast forwarding when appropriate so its super easy to watch every second of the videos.
Much appreciated I will pass it on to my wife who does all the video editing and thumbnails she’s really getting the swing of things! She doesn’t watch UA-cam often and until this has never edited videos before!
"It doesn't matter if anyone else notices" as long as you know it's there, it matters. Those are some really great lines, thanks for showing the techniques, skills, necessary to make this project beautiful, someone is inheriting a lot of fine work!
You’re understanding of the material you are working with is awesome, I just love this format that enables me to watch a pro. Also shoutout for the video worth being done, I’m sure getting those angles so we can see is far from easy
I've had a lot of Hotrods and Muscle cars in my time but I would like to add another to my list of 55 Chevy's including a Nomad to do a 4 door conversion, using your technique... YOU rock!!!
I like the fast motion because no one has the patience to watch every move but I would like there to be a time clock in the bottom corner, showing how much time it’s really taking you lets people know it’s not just magic and how much time it really takes to really do these kind of jobs are also thanks a lot for taking the time to do the videos that’s not as easy as people think either
Wow. You do very good work. The planning process, adjustments, refinements and execution = great outcome that mirrors the original look. Great idea with the 10 gauge on the pillar side out, very smart. I appreciate your craftsmanship brother. Metal artist to say the least, with years to continue growing and refining and experimenting awaits you. Sky is the limit my friend. I would love to just help in a shop like yours, for free! Just to learn and soak up the processes. Very fun but taxing work, I know, but I am sure, based on your work, you truly enjoy what you do. Can't ask for more than that. Keep it up and keep that focus, cant wait to see more. Do another trifive!! I am in the market for a project for my 12 year old son and I to restore to a 60's era, hot rod myself, and seeing the work done to them, regardless of the rot, is so rewarding. Watching you gives me confidence and my boy and I will accomplish our goal. May take 6 years to do, as the goal is to complete it by his high school graduation, but time invested is part of the journey. Thank you for sharing the channel. Blood, sweat, tears and Gears, Rich.
Ha ha I wish I could go full blast but there are so many projects that need attention we are going to have to do a little bit of hopping around. Thanks for being here cheers!
It was a very cool build . would have liked to see it Finished but the Lincoln is coming along nice . hope to see more video s on it soon. Love you're workmen ship . as well as teaching us beginning how to .thank you Karl.
It is a joy to watch a skilled sheet metal worker that can build his own and not just order the panels with a computer. What you are doing is a dying art because you have to work hard to make it work and look good too.
He does quality work but I always found it more rewarding to do something different. I built a 55 bel-air and could've converted it to a 2 door and drop in a V-8 but I decided to keep it a 4 door, widened the wheel wells, put in a turbo 292 I- 6 and 4 speed. I improved the brakes and suspension and put modern day aggressive tires on d window rims
That’s awesome Joseph I love the way that you built your car it’s definitely you! That’s the great thing about this industry is everybody has the freedom to do vehicles however they like. Wouldn’t it be boring if we all made a four-door 292 four-speed car like yours!? Custom is cool because it’s unique to the builder
Great Video. I like how you did the door jam area, and I like that you take time to show it up close finished. Other guys fly by with the camera, and its hard to study what they did.
Nice to watch someone with such a high level of skill. Having someone to shoot your video for you is also a big plus. I really like the tri5 stuff... especially the 4 door conversions. I look forward to seeing your next video.🙂
Thank you so much! We wish we did this sooner too but to be honest we would not have been ready. We’ve learned so much recently and are putting everything we know into these videos we hope to just get better over time
Thanks man! I'm super stoked for this build. This car has been on my bucket list since I saw my first Zephyr! I still can't believe this deal is even happening!
So that's how you Snagged the Zephyr?! 🤔 I could see that ..like how you solidified the inner quarters and built up those jambs to match for a good seal when the new owner Gets that Gasser. Nice work Karl as usual
Thanks man! Still unsure which direction we want to take things with finding a new shop, but we're picking up the Zephyr this weekend and we're going to get to it right away! Hopefully we'll find the right location for us soon!
Love the gasser and the old blazer in the background. you got a lot of talent. could have used some of your video's just a few weeks back on one of my projects. i have a lot of catching up to do on your channel / video's.
When making patterns a method that occasionally helps is to make a series of slices an inch apart or so made perpendicular to the wheel well arch which allows you to push and fold the pieces in the corner and get yourself in the ballpark very quickly. Well that's a save a sentence or two sentence.
My new favorite channel on UA-cam. You have some mad skills, young man.
Thank man that means a lot !
Literally what I scrolled down to write word for word! Except young man because we're the same age, probably lol.
What he said :)

Ha ha it’s the only way it’s like the magic eraser it makes everything look nice
Your doing it the correct way just like the high end shops do. Your an excellent fabricator.
I keep coming back to these two videos as guidance for my own 55, thank you so much!
Beautiful work! Amazing what you accomplished. I would say you have extraordinary skills. Pleasure to watch. Looking forward to the Zephyr.
Thanks very much man! The zephyr is going to be a fun time for sure!

I would've loved to see you complete this. But the new project has an infinitely cooler factor!
Yeah I would’ve loved to complete it too but thankfully it went to a friend so I’ll be able to see it finished!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing how to convert to a 2 door!
