Emergency personnel should be given legal authority to remove any object or person that becomes an obstacle in their line of duty, through force if necessary. Similar to enforcers of the law, these people are essentially enforcers of your rights to live and should be given proper means to do so. I say give them armoured vehicles to prevent being hindered by traffic, and to prevent any more deaths due to delayed treatment.
Here in Texas it is a state jail felony to block emergency vehicles with mandatory 180 days in the state jail. State jail felonies are like class A misdemeanors there is no parole.

@@jackwoodhouse5349 so can construction, traffic, lots of things really. Dispatchers have to be aware of known blocks to find quick routes. Honestly a street with 0 cars and only pedestrians would probably be much quicker to pass through than one with a bunch of cars. Clogging the street.
EMT here. Would not consider it blocking the road, especially that it was coincidental that the ambulance just so happened to be passing thru that intersection. They moved out of the way with no issues. Also siren was off (aka not emergent)

@@carter4811-v4o I was gonna say, obviously he’s not a trained with proper more known protocols, not all departments do sirens when transporting, it could be emergent but had sirens off due to possibly seizures other possible issues, as seen in this video it was emergent as they had lights on and did short siren blast warning they need to go through, oh and also many cities when going through residential especially at night have policies of light only ok sirens though that doesn’t seem like that’s the case here. Granted I am 17 and not an emergency first responder.

Please, please, please! Decriminalize running over protesters that block traffic. The right to assemble doesn't mean you can disrupt the world around you, or in this case possibly endanger someone's life, because you want your feelings acknowledged.

Of course this means more death in the city but an prisoner who has been sentenced to death can be killed in this form and it can be recorded and shown on live tv leading people to think its what is actually gonna happen. I ran into that problem driving to high school and every morning the jr high kids would block the street walking to school. The Cure: I dropped my car into neutral and hit the gas big time. They didn't know what {didn't} hit them!!! LOL They never did that again. At least not to me.
