Very helpful. I figured there must be a way to do this but until today, I've never shot the same scene with more than one camera simultaneously. Thanks!
THANK YOU!!!! I've been using Vegas since it was owned by sonic foundry. I am doing a live concert video shoot with 9 DSLR's and 2 GoPro. Plus two takes of each. Nearly 20 video tracks on the timeline all synced up. This is taking me forever. I knew Vegas had some sort of multi-camera functionality but I didn't think it involved the multi view preview like larger systems. This is going to save me weeks of work. Thank You So Much for a well done tutorial !!!!
Thanks a heap for this video! I've done my first video using multiple (3) cameras and now I've found a way to make a video with me rambling a little more interesting!
I was pleased to find this video after using the Manual for Vegas 10 which was too comprehensive. I have recently bought PluralEyes 3.5 which synchronizes footage automatically. PluralEyes is not one of Sony's software products but it does make editing multicamera footage easier. This tutorial spends far too much time on the synchronization requirement before dealing with what the user has to do to incorporate footage from more than one camera and "merge" the footage. In fact the issue is almost trivial for Sony's software to accomplish (except for those stuck on how to do it!) I think that an article on synchronizing multi camera footage should be a separate video.
Great video - it was really helpful! Just wish I had done this before when I had to manually cut each clip on its layer for an hour long video I edited!
Once the cameras are tooled into a multicamera thread, is it possible to make adjustments to each channel's brightness etc without having to split them up again? Premiere Pro allows this by doing camera selection in a secondary chain. You can go back to the sync window, make adjustments to individual videos, and the adjustments show in the selection chain. PPro is far too complex for my work and the Vegas multi-cam is much easier to use. I have version 15, is there any way it can work a similar way - tweak them without breaking up the multicam and losing all your cropping work?
What about now trimming the multicam track once you have finished ie going from 10mins of footage to 3mins. Normally you'd split and trim parts. Will vegas the multicam track as one clip while keeping in sync?
thnx it helps me alot. but i cut 13 videos at the same time (music video). its easier to me to switch the videotakes to press the "T" button on the keyboard. greetings from germany
thanks man. I have one question though. is it possible to use mult video editing to show all the clips in one frame simultaneously? I mean, instead of showing one video at a time, can you put all videos at once in a transition?
Sorry if I missed this but what if I want to have a certain clip to have the footage in multiple tracks again? Also sorry if I am not wording this right.
Im still unsure on synchronising using video. I've 3 camera feeds of the same event but one didnt record sound so cannot use sound waves as demonstrated in this video. When trying to find an synch point in video of all 3 feeds, it will only play the one on the highest time line. How do I over come this to synch them all please?
+Adrian Melia Find a defined visual, pause, move the little triangle thing he talked about to the cursor. Mute that one and the 3rd video track then find that visual in the unmuted video and mark it with the white triangle and match with the other white triangle marker you made
Even in 2021 you're saving people from complete sadness and frustration. Thank you!!
This saved me hours and hours of work! Great job! Thank you!
I've been using Vegas for several years and learned several valuable things (clip offset for example). Thanks!
