You did a nice job of converting your hammock suspension to lightweight Amsteel. Now all you need to do to to complete your kit is to install a structural ridge line on your hammock, a spliced 1.7mm or 2.2mm Dyneema UHMWPE cord approximately 83% of your hammock length connected from end to end where your whoopie slings attach. The ridge line will “set the sag” to make your hammock more comfortable and durable under live load; it also supports an accessory bug net.

Use the hammock XL for many years already, does the job.
Yeah it’s a lovely size - couldn’t go with the regular size one now - I’ve only had the last 2 years or so in my hammock and much prefer it from a tent at this point 💙🐺
@@SigmaPrepper yes, but often in winter I go to the poor man's bed and sleep on the ground in my bivybag.
Do the tree huggers hold on to the tree ok when just held on like that ?
Hiya, yeah they have slipped down a little on occasion but never when you’re in the hammock- the more weight in the hammock the tighter the straps will be. Lightest and smallest tree straps I’ve seen (also DD Tarps made) 🐺💙
I use the same ridge line for the ultralight hardware. But why would you mix (heavy useless) ball bungees with titanium hardware and such a heavy pack? It’s a mystery.
