I am finding myself with a new found desire to study and LEARN the scriptures. I have been focusing lately on having the things that consumed my time and didn’t provide me any spiritual benefit take less of my time. I am working on getting my temple recommend again and attending the temple with my family. I am taking this challenge to read and mark any and all references to Jesus Christ. If anyone else is taking this challenge, let me know how it has helped you. Mosiah 2:41 will give me strength as I focus on changing my life for the better.

I respect this new President and Prophet , Since re-studying the B o M in December 2017 I have grown closer to God and I wish to return to the LDS Church in time . I am still studying the scriptures I enjoy listening to Russell M Nelson just as much as I did Gordon B Hinckley and others.

I'm a Catholic First and Latter-day Saint second, but my faith is in Jesus Christ, our God, and the Holy Spirit living in me, Amen. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
I pray the same way. I expect that we have more things in common than not. I also try to stay connected to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
?.... I do not understand this declaration. The Lord said he would that we were hot or cold but if we are luke warm he would spit us out! No man can serve two masters for either he will hold to the one and despise the other or hate the one and love the other. There is no middle ground brother. If you are for Christ you cannot be against him. Both feet must be on firm ground or you will fall.

I didn't like him for the first couple years but slowly warmed up to him and I now have a love for him. I had to repent for my negative attitude of him.
I love him, but I miss president monson.
I'm thankful that we can choose to follow the Saviour and that he is willing to help me through my trials.

Thank you for directing me to use Jesus Christ. I was using the short term phrase. I heard others use this and was beginning to use this phrase. I am Thankful for a modern Prophet. I have cried out to God to help. He is so merciful. I love him very much. Again thank you for your most beautiful words. They mean so much.

Awesome Hank! I shook hands with Ezra Taft on my mission. I was so scared his junior companion laughed out loud. That was 37 years ago.
Im very grateful that i personally meet president Nelson in my mission life 33 years ago, I meet him during our zone conference at buendia chapel Philipines Manila Mission.
He came to my country Kenya and l am blessed to know him as a good spiritual inspiring soothing and lovely prophet we are blessed to have him at the moment as our living prophet God choose the right prophet for our time Amen!
I met and was interviewed by him on my mission in Papua New Guinea 1991. Also operated on my grandfather back in the day so he has always kind of been our family's prophet...😊

I'm so grateful for this talk and the promises made by a prophet of God. I woke up a couple of nights ago literally gasping and grasping for air because my nose and throat were swollen entirely shut. Barely any air could make it in. I prayed for help and God opened my throat enough for air to get in. He then with great speed showed me how to remedy the problem and gave me the ability to do so. I didn't think about this talk then, but to me, that night is a fulfillment of at least one of the promises made here.
He still looks so youthful. Bless you President Nelson

I too have been wanting and choosing to listen to messages from God, through the Lord's servants.
And I had a hard time adjusting to Former President Monson when Former President Hinckley, when he was Prophet during my Youth days,
But I am grateful for the Spiritual Lessons, from Former President Monson.
And I am Grateful for Today's Spiritual Preparations and Guidance from God, through our Current Prophet and President, President Russell M. Nelson (2018+) !

I see this our Lords prophet living past 100 years. He looks and talks like a 70 year old. I wish he could live to 200 years
I have had to endure such hard trials to be single or not close to many people over the years. I lost my family at the age of 8 years old and had not found a true connection with someone special for years. I continue to struggle every day without a close connection to someone going through 4 failed marriages and wanting to find a greater closeness to someone because of being lonely for many years.
Losing family at such a young age you'll need to address it before you can move forward and believe that you CAN have a loving, close relationship. Start with Christ, get a counselor and say what you want to the mirror and in prayer. You can heal. Best wishes in your journey!
Hope you are still healing and working to love yourself and others. This is where lasting hope and joy can be felt.

It hadn't occurred to me that, yeah, Mormons do sometimes make the mistake of speaking of the Savior's atonement as if it were a separate entity from the Savior. Now I know to be careful not to do that. Thanks for your message, President Nelson.

This is absolutely the message I needed to hear in July 2020. Seeing the unrest in the world, this is certainly relevant today. Could you imagine not having a Prophet on the Earth today?!

I'm grateful God had led me to see this Thumbnail.
I noticed a similarly between using the Full name of the Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and using the Whole phrase when referencing Christ's Atonement: "The Atonement of Jesus Christ."
Similarly, we have allowed the phrase "The Atonement of Jesus Christ to be used as a shortened phrase, "The Atonement" as a stand alone -as if the Atonement had an entity as a living thing itself. When President Nelson mentioned that Jesus Christ, as our Savior is the Source for wonderful things, instead of the action of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, itself, I chose to rephrase President Nelson's message, so we could have the more correct and positive view for the Lord's influence in our lives:
So you would instead say:
Our (My) Savior, Jesus Christ, is Whom I can call upon for HIs (Jesus Christ's) Succor (to Run to support, help, relieve), His Healing, His Forgiveness, and His Power.
I am also reminded to try again to study the Scriptures and I can refocus my efforts on Jesus Christ and His (Jesus Christ's) Gospel. ❤️

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo rejoiced in Pres. Nelson clarifying the meaning of the atonement and Heavenly Father and the Saviors role in more than just the act of the atonement. I've always believed the atonement truth to be completely encompassing life, more than the act itself 2000 years ago. It encompasses Heavenly Father's eternal plan, for all creatures, all works of the hands of the Savior through Heavenly Father. Thank you for this teaching!
