You are so creative. I never thought African threading could produce so many different types of curls. I'll try the reverse Bantu knot on of these days, for a special occasion.
This came out beautifully but seems so time consuming. I get similar results using flexi-rods or bantu knots and air drying. This is useful if you have to sleep while letting your hair dry.
I tried African hair threading to stretch my hair before and I loved the outcome. I want to try curling my hair with it now. 😊 Like I've said before you are the curl queen. I will be trying the Bantu knots.
I just tried this on my daughter's hair tonight and it works beautifully! She has box braids with purple yarn in her hair about midway down her back and I did not think the yarn would curl to be honest but this really really worked. THANK YOU HON!
This was great! Thank you! I’m going to try it on my sisterlocks. I usually style using braids but I’m excited to try the threading for that corkscrew look.
Love this vidéo very interesting will surely try reverse Bantu knot since the actual Bantu knot usually looks terrible on my hair , will also try Corkscrews curl never knew it my work on my natural hair
Omgosh, thank you so much for doing this video! So helpful!👍 I'm starting to make my own wigs for fun. Never even wore wigs.... should be interesting 😁 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023💜🕊💜
Does this work on human hair? Do you have to apply product or can you just skip it before wrapping it in thread? Don't like the hardness that mousse leaves on the hair
I am a big fan of african threading.👍🏽 My dad used to do it every once in a while with my hair when I was younger.
Aww, that's nice.
Your dad???
That's so awesome.
Where I'm from, a man would NEVER😪
This tutorial is absolutely AMAZING! You left me with not one question. So informative. Thank you!
The pin curls were perfect I’m going to try those asap
They are going to be so pretty!

Thanks. You should definitely try it out.
Growing up in an African household threading hair was a NECESSITY 😅
Absolutely! 🤣🤣🤣
This came out beautifully but seems so time consuming. I get similar results using flexi-rods or bantu knots and air drying. This is useful if you have to sleep while letting your hair dry.
Yeah, I always allow my hair to dry overnight, but I wouldn't do this if I was going under a dryer.
thanks for the video! i'm a guy so i don't really have the tools to do much with my hair so learning that i can use string is a lot of help

This was great! Thank you! I’m going to try it on my sisterlocks. I usually style using braids but I’m excited to try the threading for that corkscrew look.
My mom used to do the corkscrew to the end of my box braids! Had no idea it was an African way of curling.
Yeah, the best traditions never die.
Every thing to do with afro hair is the African way!
The large cork screw curls and bantu knots were my favorite but I love voluminous curls.
Thanks. I love voluminous curls too!

Yes, you can.
Nice job, it's BANTU for me 👍🏾
Thanks. I like the bantu knots too. They always turn out pretty.
Thank you for this creativity. It's just super.
Most welcome 😊
Thank you for making work easier for me🤗🤗🇰🇪one question though
So it's not necessary to use hot water
Nope. You only need hot water with synthetic hair that is difficult to curl.
WOW loved this you are so talented.
Thank you.
I like this video and how you have the timeline information. What type of hair is the wig ?
Thanks. It's a Kinky Straight wig from Bejoy Hair.
Thanks for sharing. The way you need the energy for this 🙈 I get tired from just twisting one half of my head.
lol. I've been doing it so long that I'm used to it. Thanks for watching!
i ask myself if it would work with perming solution as well?
Maybe. You could do a strand test.
3:14 corkscrew curl
I really love this
Thank you!
Love this video thanks for making
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you do this to your own natural hair I have lots looking for easier method to curl my locks sisterlocks.
Yes, you can. I've done most of them on my natural hair.
Corkscrew and Bantu
Love all, I've got straight her, dont think I can do the back, x
That might be challenging.
Do you put the wig in water after curling with thread ?
Hot water if it's synthetic. If it's human hair, I let it dry overnight.
Nice!
Do I have to use mousse?
No need. I just really love mousse.
hi do you have for 2021 on how to curl your hair now on braids
Lol aite imma go get some thread. This is so prettyyyyyyyy
lol. Thank you!
Pure Estrogen your welcomeeeeee😊

Thank you.
Amazing
Thank you!
Gonna do this on my braaiids😝😝
That's going to be pretty.
Do you think you can use these methods on hair that is braided?
Yes. It can work beautifully on small braids.
For how long to warp ?
Will these technics work on crochet hair?
Yes. Just use hot water to set the hair.
Please can I use virgin hair for this?

You can

What kinda thread did you use? The sewing thread appears to be to thin, and it was hard for me to take it out cause I couldn't get it off the ends.
I see what I did wrong. I knotted the ends instead.
I used size 10 crochet thread in this demo.
Hi, what type of hair is this? I want to try on my synthetic wig
It's human hair, but this can be done on synthetic hair if you do a hot water set.
Large Bantu knots
Yeah, they are pretty.
Does this work on braids too
Yes, especially the corkscrew curl.
Thank you❤️
You’re welcome 😊
Hmm, not hot water ... This is a nice method.
Are we suppose to use hot water?
Only with braiding or synthetic hair.
👍❤ thanks 😀
You're welcome 😊
What kind of thread is that
I can use with Kanekalon hair ?
Yes, you can. Just make sure you do a hot water set.
Amazing x
Thank you!!
Does this work on wavy hair
Yes, it does.
Bantu knotes
Those are my favorite too!
How long did u leave them in?
I left them in overnight (8 hours). They were dry in less than half the time. Mousse dries quickly.
How long do the curls last?
It depends on the product that you use to set the curls. Anywhere from 3 days to a week is normal.
Can you do this with sister locks?
❤
Must i use mousse
No. It's optional.
Thank you
Am I going to win my giveaway
The winner will be announced this weekend.
Does this work on human hair? Do you have to apply product or can you just skip it before wrapping it in thread? Don't like the hardness that mousse leaves on the hair
Yes, it works on human hair. It works best if you apply product, but you can skip the products. Try using a light styling cream instead of mousse.
@@PureEstrogen Thanks for responding. Trying this tonight.
No WAY!!!
lol. Yes way.
Wish it was 4c
This works on all textures. The thread will stretch and curl hair at once.
Pegs curl
Can non African people do this ?
Yes
isabellalorrana
A?
Just here to say this is how my Salvadoran mom gave me perfect coils for my quinceañera. In 1996. It’s crazy how cultures overlap
So true.
