  • With an available 6.6L Duramax diesel and the ability to tow 35,500 pounds, the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD is a serious hauling machine. Just don't enter it intp a beauty contest.

*GOOD looking truck - the DURAMAX with the Allison is the BEST SETUP!*

Aris Torm You are blind. You can’t see. You need to wear glasses like DMC.

In 30 days the 2020 will have grown on half the people who say they don't like it. And having all your dash buttons on a touch screen is way overrated even by techy standards. Nav and radio is plenty to have to swipe through on a screen. I like actual buttons/switches for the rest.
More detailing/stitching and wood on their flagship models would be good tho.
If I was buying a truck to put 500k plus miles on it I wouldn't buy anything but a GM truck. But most people don't keep these trucks past 100k miles anymore unless they buy one used for some reason. Which is why Chevy's also have the highest resale value coincidentally. They simply last.

The thing is, Ram has the big screen AND buttons. Best of both worlds.

Ehh... a bit gimmicky and still overrated.
But hey, no heart for my comment? 😠... 😄

Have you used the screen in the Ram before?

@@TheDrewJohnsonExperience Sorry for the late response. No I haven't used their new screen. But I'm the kind of guy who knows what he likes and I don't want to navigate through a screen for every control. That being said, a 12" navigation screen would be cool, just unnecessary in my opinion.
I have also always been a fan of Chevy's clean purposeful interior but believe they should have done more with their high country trim level. A more textured leather and wood grain on steering wheel would have made a world of difference.

The Ram has redundant physical buttons for virtually every control - temp, fan speed, radio tune, etc. The only thing you have to go into the screen for is heated/cooled seats and heated steering wheel. I wish there were physical buttons for those, but overall the system is a really nice blend of tech and old world functionality. Given the camera tech in the Chevy that relies on its screen, I would gladly give up a heated steering wheel button to be able to see all my camera feeds better. And, like you said, the High Country’s interior needs to be better.

This truck looks like a truck from GTA.
Who remember the days when gas engines made more hp than diesel?

I like the truck. But you must have forgotten that the truck you were in says 2500 on the door. The 35500lb tow capacity is only in a 2wd std cab long box 3500 dually. That truck shares the same drive train (to the best of my knowledge) so you might be able to tow the same but the chassis is only rated for 17860lbs. That’s close to half of what you were talking in the video.

lol... How did you get your hands on a Chevy this early to bash it? Ford/Dodge give it to you?

How many people are not going to tow a 35,500 pound trailer with their Dodge truck? No one who actually tow for a living.
    My 2016 F150 4 door 2wd with the 2.7 ecoboost and 3.31 gears. I have towed 7,300 and it’s rated at only 5,000 pounds.

Competent trucks. The interior is really in need of redo, GM just dropped the ball on customer expectations for interiors. Still get a Chevy instead of A RAM, but mostly I am Ford super duty guy. Now GM, go back Tom rAm school of interior design.

I wish they had a DELETE for that dumb computer screen, as working out of one less stuff to break or get damaged.
