I got the same pair (Triple Black) and yeah. Casual use they are almost not real- level of comfy. The weight to cushion ratio is unmatched. They really do feel like pillow socks with the mesh upper and padding and cushioning. The only issue I have with the as a runner is the energy return and stability.
Correction post 3 months: New Balance 1080 V13 is the king of Cushion shoes but they are unstable you can't use them for stable running. I bought is Rebel V4 it is slightly less cushion but it is more stable while running. Being said that I still go any day with 1080 V13 for walking purposes.

The 1080s are a great daily running shoe but I would not recommend them as a walking shoe because they lack stability. I love running in mine for hours, but feel like I’m going to roll and ankle walking down the stairs

It’s nowhere near as soft at the 1080. Personally I like I much better than the 1080, which is too soft. It’s mushy and unstable. Pretty gimmicky imo. The rebels have tons of cushioning but it’s a resilient cushion that pushes back so it doesn’t feel as soft as it actually is. It’s also way more stable than the 1080v13.
The cloud eclipse is even more comfy i think…double the cushioning with also phaze….and the hoka bondi and another hoka i forgot the name of is far more comfy than the clifton
There are plenty of comfortable shoes under 90 dollars/euros. People just love to buy the most expensive shoes just because they are brainwashed by marketing. People need to set their priorities straight
@@damianriver4482 Currently I have a classic pair of new balance. They cost me around 70€. Very confortable shoes and last long. You have literally hundreds of examples like this, just search everywhere and put the "price" filter under 100 or 90 euros/dollars
The shoes are 100% overpriced but the fact of the matter is, it’s just not the same. I’ve tried literally dozens of them across the range, and the cheaper ones just aren’t the same. The brands do that intentionally to force you to spend more. That’s assuming full retail prices. The best bet if you want value is to wait for the best current models to go on sale. The issue is, if the model is selling well then it probably won’t go on sale ever, and if it does it won’t be much of a discount. But a few years ago every time the new model would come out the last version would go on sale for about $100 to $120 max.
I bought the oncloud surfers for work, had the Invincible run 3s for casual and Rebel v4s for just comfort and to match with my auntie since we bought shoes together
What happens after a few months, that the foam is not new anymore? Haven't you get the barefoot pill? The best shoes long term for your body are the minimal, barefoot shoes.
@@BryceKicksbuddy you listed 15 year old asics as the best shoes of 2024. Literally. The current model Kayano is the 31. So what would you know? When you’re American and got that American “education” that renders 2/3 of the population functionally illiterate in the richest country in history, critical thinking is in short supply.
