Standing up and sight fishing would be a good application for this SUP/kayak. It's nice to see how stable it is while seated, but I am more curious about standing on it.
Promised and delivered. Thanks Chad for the review.
another home run for nucanoe. the flint looks awesome. I own two pursuits and am very happy with them.
Thanks for being honest and giving a real deal review Chad.
That's a really slick boat, and the price point is awesome on it. Well Done NuCanoe!
Awesome kayak ! I lost my job few month ago but as soon I get a job I will be getting one ! Thanks for share !
Well done Blake! I own two Frontier 12's and like them very much. Chad, great "winging it" review on the new Flint. Thanks for the idea of reversing rods to slide under trees. ( I needed that tip last week ) Table Rock has high water this year and I am fishing flooded trees. I am happy to hear Nucanoe supports KBF. See you in Branson ! Over.
I like the ruler on the paddle for measuring. I don't know if that is a new or original idea but, a good one!
Hey, Chad - tell Nu Canoe that you sold me. I pick up my flint tomorrow morning. The drastic canoe shortage (even worse than the current kayak shortage....and your recent video about the upcoming supply issues have me pulling the trigger early for my next boat. I wanted to wait on Old Town to make me a Next or a solo sportsman or even just a plain old 119 canoe... but I'm being told by 4 different dealers it will be November 2021 at the earliest if I place an order now. And it might be well into 2022.
I have several canoes -my primary fishing platform is my 12' 33 pound Old Town Pack Canoe... but I need another good fishing option for the other end as I am gonna keep the Pack canoe at the lake house now 3 hours away.
Lots of calls to every dealer in 500 miles since your scarcity video... I decided on the NuCanoe Flint since 1. They have 1 in stock (mine now, lol!) 2. The open floor plan is most like a canoe. 3. It's tough enough I can take it on a local river with Rapids too.
So, tell em I said if Chad liked it...I was sold, lol. (I'm about 6'4" and 230 myself...so big guy approved matters!. )
That is one clean machine right there... and the kayak too. LOL, looks like a good Yak.
I believe they really have a winner on there hands with the flint. I just want to know how high the seat can go up and is it going to be capable to mount cooler as seat. And I wanna see some standing and fishing in it. They can tell me how stable it is all they want but I wanna see someone pulling in a fish while standing. Also will the stand assist bar going to be able to used in flint
looking forward to this Im in the market for a new kayak and this looks awesome
Handles that double as paddle holders. Nice work
Good looking platform from #NuCanoe the #Flint looks like its going to have allot of sales, great demo Chad,
Let the kayak wars begin!
Looks nice 👍. 6 rods worth of storage 😱. +Kayakbassfishing is there a scupper for transducer? Or is over the side type application?
Man that sweet and light
im still a huge huge fan of the vibe sea ghost 130 and u can stand and its cheaper and come with hero seat and paddle
that's an awesome boat
At 70 years old and not great at balance is this a kayak you think that would give stability , speed against river current of 3mph and track good? Understand your video is on small pond but maybe you have used since then elsewhere. Appreciate your thoughts.
I like it!

Could you please let the guy talk and stop interrupting him so we can get info.
+Rick Manm Thanks.
KayakBassinTV can you add the micro ancor on it
No doubt.... I think he thinks he's why people clicked on the video. I want to hear about the boat and could care or less for his narcissistic manners.
I know...that was completely annoying
Man that's a sweet rig for 1k. I've always thought those boats where slick.
Looks like an outstanding platform. Any word on the standability? I stand 90% of the time in my Big Tuna and would love to find a smaller boat that allowed that same thing
I better start saving my pennies, that looks like the perfect future option for me at 285 lbs. Thanks Chad.
I've always wanted a NC. I've heard how stable they are and I fly fish for bass, carp, and site casting is my strong point especially for carp. it's very hard to do in my pelican Argo sit inside kayak. Do t get me wrong. I love my argo. But I would love a nuconoe for that reason. just to expensive for me.
What about the the new NuCanoe pedal system? Have one rigged up you can try out and review?
Would this be a good option for a taller angler(6'5)? Is that stuff in the front adjustable or can it be removed? I'm looking to upgrade and this kayak is starting to look like a possibility for me.
very nice!!!!
Great review - does it have any storage access under the deck besides the one hatch in the back? I digging the light weight and price for sure!
They said the seat is adjustable...I haven't seen anyone adjust it high or low. Is that how high the seat goes?
very nice
Can the Junior seat be attached to the front of the Flint.
Chad what are your thoughts on the pelican catch 120? What about in comparison to the flint? Can one stand in the flint?
lmao "You're not going to see me in an Abercrombie poster, ever " - great vid
Thanks John Cusack! Lol.
nice!
When is it available?
Did you do the standing test? how stable was it if you did stand test?
+Hector Padilla JR I stood in it but didn't have the dang camera on. There are videos of me standing in it from ICAST. I stood and sat with no issues and it was definitely stable. It's not "walking around on a dock" stable, but it is remarkably stable for its size.
KayakBassinTV thank you for info I'm looking to invest into a good stable kayak but not break the bank. Just a humble custodian. I'm currently using a 10ft inflatable kayak.
Wilderness Systems and Bonafide could learn an important message here. You can still put flush mount rod holders on a kayak in 2017. Excluding them on a fishing kayak is one of the biggest jokes in the industry. I can guarantee it is a buy or not buy decision for a lot of folks buying a fishing kayak.
+Kayak Fisher1987 you can still put flush mounts. If not having flush mounts is a buy or not buy decision, it was a very uniformed one. These are great, but some people would like the decision on higher end boats to rig it the way they want. So, you could easily install flush mounts. I still use them on some boats but I find myself using them less and less.
Flush mounts, not a fan. Like Chad said they can be added to just about any kayak. I find the Zooka tubes work great on a ram ball. Turn just about any direction you need, and mounted them to a black pack. But this works for me.
Not bad.
Awww...I sub'd and like the review but....you didn't stand in it! :(
For 1k I'm curious what the stability is like for a larger guy (I'm also not going to be in any magazines, lol)
WOW! I like the Blond taking photos. Just sayin.
You should have stood up in it. The target customer is can be roughly your size. I know you showed your feet in the water.
When I fish I try to do a catch a fish challenge
whats the weight limit
Estimated 400-lbs from www.eastcoastwatersports.com/nucanoe-kayaks.html
You brought the blondes
stand up. 900$... stand up. I repeat, stand up. 900$. and it's ugly as sin.
