im going to buy this mouse but black and white version have a huge price difference. Black is 154 and white is over 200 euros right now. Is it ok if i go for the black one or should i wait for the white one price to go down. Im currently using a deathadder v2 wired
@@PadoV2 The only difference is the coating, and black while not being as good as white is still a good coating comparing to the rest of the market. I definitely wouldn't pay that much more for white version nor would I wait god knows how long for it to get cheaper.
Does using smart tracking on high have the same performance as using on low in Valorant? I play on bass and my aim has a delay in the micro movement it keeps getting stuck?
my only small complain is that the clicks dont cover the whole width of the mouse but are instead contained, which makes it weird sometimes since I was used to clicking on the very edges sometimes with the Viper Ultimate
All the reviews I have seen didn't address the difference between the white and black version, not from a first hand experience at least, so thanks for going the extra mile buying an extra unit to compare. I have seen someone here in the comments talk about some issue regarding the tracking of the mouse when used below 8K Hz when it comes to small micro adjustments, I looked it up and found a reddit thread from 15 days ago with multiple people having the same issue, please keep us updated if you got more info about this or experienced any of it.

@@its_yifang I wonder if the corepad thickness is causing the issues with high lod, the V3 Pro corepads are 0.85mm and the RVM ones are 0.9mm, I believe the stocks are around 0.8mm
@@eXSPLY I thought that might be the case but it doesn't make sense given high LOD is having issues, which should be what you'd want on thicker skates...
Is it the type of palm grip that I'd enjoy as a deathadder user? From the measurements comparisons I've looked up online, in the back it has the exact same dimensions as the superlight which is currently causing me muscle fatigue around my thumb after just one game of valorant
Superlight shape and everything is just worse, this is a better superlight. I think you'll like it, but you'll probably enjoy Xlite v3 medium even more.
@@its_yifang Unfortunately I live in east europe, not easy to get my hands on pulsar stuff. Despite all the quality issues, deathadder v3 pro or zowie is my only choice
Sup Yifang how does it compare to the Superlight 2? Currently torn between superlight 2 and viper v3 pro, my hands size is 18x10 and I use both palm and claw grip.
great video! i really dont like how different colour have different coating... why do they do that? my setup is all black and the white version being significantly better is forcing me to think about buying the white one ..
Nice review - just curious, why do you like high LOD on mice compared to low LOD? I thought conventional wisdom was that lower LODs were better to stop movement when the mouse is lifted.
I find higher LOD to feel more natural and assists with microadjustments when I may subconciously tilt my mouse, which causes only one side to lift off. For example, some small leftward movements will cause the left side of my mouse to slightly lift off (unintentionally), while the right side is still on the pad.
@@its_yifang Ah okay, I used to use mid-high LOD but I always felt that the input was a bit "floaty". p.s Nice to see a reviewer who's legitimately qualified to have an objective opinion on cutting-edge gaming peripherals. Keep up the good work
I'm 21x12 and use it just fine... So between the two shapes, if one has this issue the other is bound to as well. They have the same hump height (and also almost identical width and length too).
so just letting you know, that the sensor doesn't detect micro adjustments on any polling rate below 8k. this is a large reason why you notice such a difference at 8k, because the wireless sensor implementation below 8k polling is broken, this issue has been documented by a lot of people and you can replicate this issue by trying tiny micro adjustments and you'll notice if your polling rate is low the mouse wont move to the left. note that this issue does not happen on wired, or on 8k, meaning its an issue with wireless.
@@onepunchdave3216 its hard to notice. you'll notice it if you set DPI really high and try micro adjustments, as i said its been noticed by alot of people. trry moving the mouse very slightly, as slight as you can and sometimes it wont move to the left.
Yeah, white V3P here, this happens on all LOD distances and all polling rates under 8khz in wireless mode, on wired mode 1khz works normally too, which would tell me that it is not LOD issue or a sensor issue really. We just need a bigger voice to speak with razer as at this point they're making all of us normal customers just send video after video without taking us seriously.
Great review! I currently main the deathadder V3 pro and am considering this or the wl Beast x Max. Im not entirely sure whats best for me, I do have larger hands id say and plays lots of competitive shooters. The deatheradder shape is really nice but id say the length is a little too much for me (128 mm) but I am a claw grip user. Any ideas/thoughts what would be more ideal? if you have used both, what are your personal opinions?
Viper V3 Pro would have to get my vouch. I'm not a big fan of Beast X having hollow sides and so on, plus the performance doesn't match the VV3P. That being said, if that shape looks more interesting to you and you are fine with hollow sides and all, then Beast X is also easily a top tier choice.
Viper V3 Pro, as for the thing about pros, I really don't want to write a comment here about it because there's too many reasons, but the short summary is that they are just as clueless as any other player who isn't into peripherals.
@@its_yifang yeah I just commented prematurely. They coating doesn’t matter to me though since I use grip tape. Can’t be having a white mouse when everything else is black and red. I was worried some raw performance difference.
@@nottheonlyjustin It still makes a difference unless you are only contacting grips via fingertip grip. If you have ANY contact with the coating, then superior coating makes a huge difference. I use grip tape but I still need the coating.
New firmware update on 14/06/2024 seems to have fixed the LOD and scanning issues! Make sure you update your firmware now, back to high LOD I go!!!

Yeah I don't understand either, might be an accidental thing because of the paint and coating being related, but I wouldn't know...
it's said that they added an additional protective coating for the white version that prevents yellowing.
