Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad-in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12not by works but by him who calls-she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” Romans 9: 11-13

The Lord said to her, (Rebekah)
“Two nations are in your womb,
      and two peoples from within you will be separated;
one people will be stronger than the other,

It was talking about nations not individuals! In there lives the older DID NOT serve the younger. But the Nations did!

You start to repent and turn away from sin not because any of this saves you but because of what Christ did for you on the cross. this isnt works based salvation but a deeper explanation of what happens when someone is saved they turn away from sin they "repent" an active life style as repent isnt solely an after you sin activity but an every day activity. Example: tempted to look at porn instead you repent and turn to God for help you go into prayer or reading the bible. not because any of this saves you but because you are saved you do this.

Let repentance and living for godliness be for the glory of God and his kingdom because you love him not because you need to do something to be saved but rather because you are already saved through what Christ Jesus has done on the cross.
James 2 speaks on the profitability of your works unto others. While all things are lawful not all things are profitable. If your faith has no works then it is of no benefit for others who are not saved nor is it beneficial to yourself or fellow brothers it is dead.

You say this because you do not know God. You do not know the truth. 1 John 3, 1Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 2Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears,a we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. 3And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure.b
4Everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness.c 5But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6No one who remains in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has seen Him or known Him.
7Little children,d let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous.e 8The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.
9Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has born of God. 10By this the children of God are distinguished from the children of the devil: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

First Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness, but unto us who are saved it is the POWER of God. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to them that believe, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. John 3:18 Believers are no longer condemned to hell, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God. First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 6:47 God can not lie. Romans 4:5-8.
Romans 3:26-28 For He is the just and the justifier of them that BELIEVE in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? By the law of works? Nay, but by the LAW of FAITH. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by FAITH apart from the deeds of the LAW. First John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. But, only those who believe it are saved.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, physical death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. The GIFT of God is eternal life. Not a reward for good behavior, but a free GIFT.
Ephesians 1:13-14 Our guarantee of eternal life. John 10:28-29. No one can pluck us from HIs hand. Gods word, and He can not lie. Repentance for salvation is a change of mind. Metanoia. We quit trusting in what we do to save us to trusting totally in what Jesus did to save us. John 3:16 Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Period. John 6:47. Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it.

It is true that repentance is an on going process that will last our whole lifetime. However, it's so much more accurate to say, "the moment God gave me the gift of belief and repentance, then I believed and was justified." To say it another way, one simply can't believe or even repent of any sin unless God gives them that gift of believing or repentance. Most people I talk to disagree with me as they put the "Cart before the Horse'"

This is true, a man cannot know that he is lost and in need of salvation unless God makes it known to that man that he is lost and needs salvation. A preacher or pastor or priest can tell you that you need to be saved but until YOU know within yourself through the convicting power of the Holy Spirit that you need to be saved there can be no true salvation because there is no true conviction of sin without the Holy Spirit.

      Faith without works is dead.
      Why ?
Because good works is evidence for being saved not what saves us but what comes after we are saved, the Holy Spirit is recreating us into Christ's image until we meet God.

@@MyLordAndMyGodJesusChrist The verb for save is sōzō. It means "to preserve or rescue from danger." That danger can be earthly or eternal depend- ing on the context. Context is key! Sōzō appears five times in James. What kind of salvation is it?
Two uses are absolutely about earthly salvation! Salvation from sickness (James 5:15)
      Salvation from death (James 5:20)
And if you look at the context, so are the other three: Salvation from physical destruction (James 4:12)
      Salvation from poverty (James 2:14)
Salvation from the deadly effects of sin (James 1:21; cf. v 15)
Conclusion: Paul and James did not contradict each other! While Paul taught that eternal salvation is by grace, through faith, apart from works (Eph 2:8-9), James taught that earthly salvation depends on works. God cares about both!

1 John 1.5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Romans10.9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If good works and holy living are the evidence for salvation, how did the Apostles know that 3000 people got saved(on the spot) on the day of Pentecost, since there was not time enough for any of the 3000 to have engaged in holy living and the accumulation of good works?

From what I have learned is that once you are called upon by God, you will ask God for mercy on you and ask for forgiveness of your sins, (Repentance). Your faith in Jesus Christ that he died for you on the cross and rose again in 3 days along with repentance of your sins to God will you be saved. Once you have been baptized by the Holy Spirit then the Holy Spirit will place conviction in your heart to repent of your sins on a daily basis. May not be the same sins already repented for but sins that you do while growing in your faith. Anger, Pride, Jealousy, Hate, Lying, etc.. The list goes on and on, however in your heart and head you will no longer want to do these things but Satan deceives and tries to get you to do them anyways.
Once you are baptized by Jesus of the Holy Spirit, you will no longer desire the ungodly things of this world. But we do sin, we live in a broken society that is sinful. It's simple though, Repent of your sins to God, trust and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and read your Bible daily.
    God Bless you all...

@TAQ2Music Don't embrace or listen to the false teachings of Paul Washer who is a FALSE TEACHER preaching the false gospel of Calvinism/Lordship Salvation which is WORKS SALVATION. If you want to be saved, BELIEVE on Christ and His finished work on the cross. The Bible says that eternal life is a free gift, that is not of our works - Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23. Salvation is a one time event that saves a person in a NANOSECOND for all eternity - John 5:24.
Acts 16:30-31 - 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 3:20 - Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Romans 3:28 - For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
Romans 4:2-6 - 2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about-but not before God. 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works.
Romans 9:31-32 - but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? BECAUSE THEY PURSUED IT NOT BY FAITH BUT AS IF IT WERE BY WORKS. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.
Romans 10:4 - For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 11:6 - And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
Galatians 2:16 - know that a person IS NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, BECAUSE BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED.
Galatians 2:21 - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing.
Galatians 3:6 - So also Abraham “BELIEVED God, and it was CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Galatians 5:4 - You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
Titus 3:5 - HE saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
Genesis 15:6 - Abraham believed the Lord, and HE CREDITED IT TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
      Hope this helps, God bless!

@TAQ2Music Sin is transgression of the law of God, but we are not under the law of God for salvation, we are under GRACE. Christ did what no man on the face of this earth could ever do, and that is fulfill the law of God in absolute sinless perfection - Matthew 5:17-18. It is Christ's imputed righteousness that justifies a person positionally before God, that is, His perfect fulfillment of the law, and His blood sacrifice and death on the cross. We all still commit sin by breaking the law of God in one way or another after we are saved, and that includes ME.
We are not under the law for SALVATION. If we break the law, we will no doubt suffer the consequences including chastisement from God and other societal consequences, BUT we are still saved. After a person is saved, if the person goes out and commits a crime and gets caught, the person will no doubt suffer the earthly consequences of his/her actions including prison time and chastisement from God, BUT the person is still SAVED.
Again, we are NOT under the law for salvation, but under the law because we live in a world that upholds the law which maintains order in society and if anyone breaks those laws, there will be consequences. If we commit adultery, we will no doubt suffer the earthly consequences and be subject to God's temporal judgment, BUT WE ARE STILL GOD'S CHILDREN. There are scores of saved pastors and lay people who commit adultery, but that does not mean they will "lose their salvation" or mean "they were never saved to begin with", if that's what you're thinking. Too many people let Calvinism and Arminianism contaminate their doctrine because of the prevalence of these 2 false doctrines that have permeated all the churches within mainstream Christianity.
Christ's blood atonement and death on the cross did not free us from sinning, but freed us from the penalty of sin which is ETERNAL CONDEMNATION in hell and the eventual Lake of Fire. Again, all SAVED Christians still sin AFTER they are saved. Saved Christians will be freed from the old sin nature on the very day of the Rapture, but for now we all still sin no matter what, no matter how hard we try not to. The OUTER MAN, which is the FLESH, the old SIN NATURE still resides in all of us where we all still sin EXPERIENTIALLY after we are saved (Romans 7:14-25, Galatians 5:13) whether its sins of omission that we are not aware of and deliberate sins that we do.
The OUTER MAN, the FLESH, which is the old SIN NATURE will not be eradicated until Christ returns at the Rapture to take and TRANSFORM us into perfect, sinless, eternal bodies - 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Philippians 3:21, 1 John 3:2.
Philippians 3:21 - Who shall change OUR VILE BODY, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
1 John 3:2 - Beloved, now are WE ARE THE SONS OF GOD, and IT DOTH NOT YET APPEAR WHAT WE SHALL BE: but we know that, when he shall appear, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; for we shall see him as he is.
However, we have not died to our old nature in this earthly life and have not died to sin at the moment of faith. The old nature still resides in all of us (the flesh, the OUTER MAN) and will not be eradicated until the very day of the Rapture when Christ personally comes to take and transform us. That is the whole point of Philippians 3:21, 1 John 3:2, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Again, we have NOT died to sin yet as we all still sin. That is why 1 John 1:8-10 and 1 John 2:1 was written. Our performance of good works before God is not in perfection as we all still sin AFTER our conversion. Our good works in this life contribute to the edification of others as PROFITABLE SERVICE - James 2:14-26, 1 John 3:17-18 and will earn us ETERNAL REWARDS at the future Judgment Seat of Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 when our earthly lives will be evaluated to determine the gain or loss of eternal rewards and the privilege of reigning with Christ in the Millennial kingdom - Revelation 2:26, Revelation 3:21, Luke 19:11-27.
      Hope this helps, God bless!

@TAQ2Music Here are Biblical examples of Godly people in the New Testament whom the apostle Paul affirmed are still saved despite their sinful deeds. The Corinthian Christians of the apostle Paul's time certainly would convince many people that they were "unsaved" or "had lost their salvation." Their lives were deplorable and were living in gross sin and immorality, but Paul affirmed the fact that they were saved in 1 Corinthians 3:1 as he addressed them as "brethren" that were "carnal babes in Christ". Paul would not have addressed them in that way if they were not saved.
Paul addresses them as "brethren" in 1 Cor 2:1, as "brethren" and "carnal' "babes in Christ" in 1 Cor 3:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 4:6, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 10:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 11:2, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 12:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 14:20, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 15:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 15:58. (KJV)
The above list in 1 Corinthians where Paul repeatedly addressed the Corinthian Christians as "brethren" is overwhelming evidence that these are saved people possessing eternal life. Paul would not have addressed them as "brethren" if they were not saved.
When Paul addressed the Corinthian church they were living in sexual immorality, lawsuits, divisions, etc, at the very time when he wrote to them. Lordshippers just love to change the plain text and teach that Paul was referring to the Corinthians after they matured. NO, Paul was addressing and rebuking them in their present state while they were living in sin. It makes no logical sense for the apostle Paul to address and rebuke them if the Corinthians "grew" and matured. Paul addresses them as "Brethren" meaning they were saved, but he couldn't address them as spiritual and mature because they were not. They were saved, but CARNAL and BABES IN CHRIST who were still not growing as Paul said they were still drinking milk.
1 Corinthians 3:1 KJV - "And I, BRETHREN, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto CARNAL, even as unto BABES IN CHRIST."
1 Corinthians 3:2 - I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, YOU ARE STILL NOT READY.
      1) 1 Corinthians 3:3 - there was ENVYING, STRIFE, and DIVISIONS among the Christians.
      2) 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 - A CHRISTIAN MAN WAS HAVING SEX WITH HIS STEPMOTHER and consequently Paul pronounced judgment on this man in 1 Corinthians 5:5 where Paul says, "hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be SAVED on the day of the Lord". The Corinthian Christian's attitude regarding this man who was sleeping with his stepmother was one of PRIDE - 1 Cor 5:2
In 2 Corinthians 2:5-8, Paul gives an update on this man where we read that this man was chastened with CHURCH DISCIPLINE and that God had mercy on him and did not terminate his physical life. Paul instructs the church to forgive and comfort him so that he won't be overcome by excessive sorrow and to reaffirm their love and concern for him.
2 Corinthians 2:5-8 - But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was INFLICTED BY MANY. So that contrariwise ye ought rather to FORGIVE HIM, AND COMFORT HIM, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
Wherefore I beseech you that ye would CONFIRM YOUR LOVE TOWARD HIM.
      3) 1 Corinthians 4:18 - there was ARROGANCE among the Corinthian Christians.
      4) 1 Corinthians 6:7-8 - THERE WERE CHRISTIANS TAKING OTHER CHRISTIANS TO COURT and there was CHEATING among them.
      5) 1 Corinthians 7:2 - there was FORNICATION among the Christians.
      6) 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 - there were Christians EATING SELFISHLY, and there was DRUNKENNESS at the Lord's Supper.
Because of their selfish indulgence of food and getting drunk God brought about SICKNESS and PHYSICAL DEATH as punishment - 1 Cor 11:29-30.
Scripture is clear that there are indeed carnal Christians that are saved. It's not good or spiritually edifying that they are living in sin. God will CHASTISE them because they are His children, but they are still saved - Hebrews 12:5-11. The book of 1 Corinthians confirms the reality of carnal Christians who were living in sin and Paul affirmed that they are eternally saved by addressing them as "sanctified in Christ Jesus" and "saints" in 1 Cor 1:2.
Paul also made it clear that he would deal with those who were sinning in the Corinthian Church with DISCIPLINE/CHASTISEMENT. This, of course, was not a threat against their salvation and eternal security. They were in danger of chastisement from God for their sinful actions and behavior - 2 Corinthians 13:2. Paul had already pronounced chastisement on the man who was sleeping with his stepmother in 1 Corinthians 5:1-5. All the other sinning believers were in the same danger of chastisement from God just like the ones who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper - 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 and their consequent chastisement of sickness and premature physical death where their life spans were cut short - 1 Corinthians 11:29-30.
2 Corinthians 13:2 - I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others.
It appears that Paul was warning the Corinthian believers about imminent chastisement from God if they didn't heed his warnings to them.
In 1 Corinthians 11:29-30, it clearly states that God had already dealt with some of the Corinthian Christians who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:20-22) by sending sickness and premature PHYSICAL DEATH where their life spans were cut short.
Self-righteous Calvinists/Lordship Salvationists like PAUL WASHER and a host of others and Arminian/Lordship Salvationists will of course deliberately deny the existence of carnal Christians and would deliberately write off carnal Christians who are living in sin as "unsaved" or having "lost their salvation" despite overwhelming evidence from Scripture.
      Hope this helps, God bless!

@TAQ2Music 1) Samson is a true man of God and at the same time a FORNICATOR - Judges 16:1 who led Israel for 20 years - Judges 15:20, Judges 16:31. The Bible is clear that he saw a prostitute and spent the night with her and what is described in Mark 7:20-23 and Galatians 5:19 was in Samson's heart at that very moment.
Samson's last prayer just before his simultaneous murder/suicide was NOT a prayer of repentance, but was a request to God to strengthen him so that he could get REVENGE on the Philistines for the loss of his 2 eyes. Then in Judges 16:28-30, Samson commits a simultaneous MURDER/SUICIDE.Yet Samson is listed as a Godly man of faith in Hebrews 11:32. Samson would not be listed there if he was unsaved.
      2) KING DAVID is a true man of God who struggled with LIVE PORNOGRAPHY and no doubt at that moment had sexual lust in his heart (Mark 7:20-23, Galatians 5:19) as he watched Bathsheba take a bath from the roof of his palace and then gave in to the temptation and committed ADULTERY/MURDER - 2 Samuel 11:1-21. This happened despite the fact that King David had over 6 wives at the time - 2 Samuel 3:1-5, 2 Samuel 5:13. King David felt no conviction for his sins of adultery and murder because of the deliberate steps that he took to bring Bathsheba to him and then gave orders for the murder of her husband, Uriah the Hittite. God had to send Nathan the prophet to WAKE HIM UP - 2 Samuel 12.
God chastised King David with a series of painful consequences for the rest of his life - 2 Samuel 12:10, but his eternal salvation was never in question.
King David is a true man of God and is called the "man after God's heart" - Acts 13:22, but the deliberate steps that he took to bring Bathsheba to his palace obviously showed that King David felt NO CONVICTION. David sent an assistant to find out about her -2 Samuel 11:3 and was then informed that Bathsheba is MARRIED to Uriah the Hittite. Then despite knowing that fact about Bathsheba which should have deterred him, he instructs his assistants to bring her to him - 2 Samuel 11:4. Those chronological actions taken by David obviously shows that David felt no conviction about sleeping with another man's wife despite the fact that he was married to over 6 women at the time - 2 Samuel 3:1-5, 2 Samuel 5:13. King David had all the sex that he wanted, but it appeared that his many wives were not enough to satisfy him.
He later takes Bathsheba to be one of his many wives adding to the list after murdering her husband, Uriah the Hittite - 2 Samuel 11:26-27. He then gets her pregnant again.
There is a big contrast between King David and his sexual lust for Bathsheba in comparison with Joseph and Potiphar's wife. It is important to note that Joseph was SINGLE at that time when Potiphar's wife tempted him on a daily basis. However, Joseph had strong GODLY CONVICTION and refused to give in and because of his strong Godly conviction, the Lord blessed Joseph wherever he went. Both King David and Joseph were SAVED Godly men, but the only difference is that King David had a total lack of Godly conviction when it came to sexual sin, but Joseph had strong Godly conviction.
      3) Lot is a man of God, but we read in Genesis 19:6-8 that Lot offers up his 2 daughters for SEX to the homosexuals who surrounded his house and in Genesis 19:31-36 we read that he has SEX WITH BOTH HIS DAUGHTERS GETTING THEM PREGNANT. This was clearly a case of INCEST. Yet Peter refers to Lot as a RIGHTEOUS MAN in 2 Peter 2:7-8 and Peter would not have referred to him as "RIGHTEOUS" if Lot was unsaved.
      4) Moses is a man of God who committed the MURDER of an Egyptian - Exodus 2:12.
      5) Noah is a man of God who got DRUNK and WENT NAKED in his tent - Genesis 9:21.
      6) Jacob is a man of God who was also a SWINDLER as he kept all the best livestock for himself, but left all the weak and defective ones for his father in law Laban. Jacob and his mother Rebekah are both LIARS and DECEIVERS as they both deceived Isaac in stealing the blessing meant for Esau - Genesis 27:1-29. Jacob spoke LYING WORDS of deception to Isaac.
      7) Abraham is a LIAR as he lied about his wife Sarah being his sister - Genesis 20:2.
People in the Old Testament were saved the exact same way as people in New Testament times, otherwise the apostle Paul would not have quoted Genesis 15:6 in Romans 4:2-6, and Galatians 3:5-8 in support of SALVATION BY FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST ALONE APART FROM OUR WORKS.
Galatians 3:5-8 - 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, OR BY BELIEVING WHAT YOU HEARD?
6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.
8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced THE GOSPEL IN ADVANCE TO ABRAHAM: “All nations will be blessed through you.”

If some random guy on the street wants to talk to me about Christ and I tell him that I am already saved and he asks me: "what does that mean?", "how do you know?", "are you sure?" I am going to ask him: "do you doubt the work of the Holy Spirit? Do you doubt that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was sufficient enough to save me?" That's what I would respond with. I believed and still believe in Jesus, I got saved when I was 12 years old, the Holy Spirit drew me to Christ and I obeyed the call of the Holy Spirit, I prayed on the altar and I said: "Jesus save me, Jesus please save me" this prayer that I prayed was not pretty, it was not well worded, I did not know a lot of scripture at 12 years old but I knew that the gospel had been preached in power and demonstration of the Spirit and that I needed to be saved and I know that when I prayed I placed my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and according to His Holy Word and the witness of the Holy Spirit in my heart that I am saved, Jesus did not save me because of anything that I did but because of what He did for me on the cross, all that I did was fall down on my knees and surrender myself to him.

I'm sure you are living a life of repentance from sin though, right? Even though we struggle with our flesh we continue to repent every day. What brother Paul is talking about is are the masses of people in the world right now that claim the name of Jesus as a free ticket to live in as much sin as they please.

@@wojak91 Sanctification is a process that lasts through the whole life of a believer, an immature Christian who does not yet know what all the bible says about how we should live after we have been saved may come to the conclusion that because they are saved it is then okay to live however they want to live. My dad was one of these people, he got saved at a young age and then for ten years lived as though he never knew Christ, he eventually realized what a mistake he had made and returned to the Lord's house, now he is a preacher.
It is our choice after that we have been saved whether or not we are going to walk in paths of righteousness and submit to the Lord daily asking for forgiveness for our sins or whether we are going to go our own way and refuse to feed the inner man who desires the things of God.

Hey Aaron! I know how you feel. I struggle with a lot of the same things you mentioned. I think with repentance what we have to remember is that repentance is not just saying “God I’m sorry” repentance is saying “God I shouldn’t have done that and I know you wouldn’t have wanted me to do that. I want to turn from my ways and refocus on You and Your ways instead.” We all get thoughts like the ones you have sometimes and that’s why it’s important to take every thought captive before Christ. To examine everything that comes into our mind and think about what we know about God and whether or not these thoughts align with Him, His will, and His word. If it doesn’t align with God then repent. You may not have created the thought that comes into your head, you may not believe it or agree with it but I usually repent anyways. If you’re not sure if it aligns with God then think about God’s characteristics and what the Bible says about Him. Read the word. Talk with other Christians. As for whether or not you’re saved, I can’t say since I don’t know your relationship with God but if you believe that Jesus died on that cross for your sins then you are saved. In John 6:39-40 Jesus says “and this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of those He has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” That means that even if you doubt Him sometimes, that doesn’t take away from your salvation. If you’ve accepted Christ, you don’t need to worry. God has you. Trust Him and His love that if He said He’s got you then truly He does. If you’re doubting God then I recommend watching some Mike Winger videos. He talks about evidence for God a lot on his channel and it’s been really helpful for me and my walk with Christ. I hope this was helpful. Don’t be afraid friend, God sees you and your struggles, bring your burdens to Him. Don’t forget to pray about this, I’m sure you are but bring this struggle before God and ask Him to guide you through it. God bless you friend.

I hope someone responds to this comment; I would appreciate your input.
Paul seems to be saying if a Christian does not continually grow in faith, grace and spiritual maturity; he/she was never a genuine christian.
    Am I misunderstanding him?
I agree that genuine repentance and faith in Christ results in a changed life and lifestyle. There will be "fruit".
The question is...how much fruit, and for how long?
    I went from congregational song leader, church bus driver, adult Sunday school teacher, lay preacher as a guest or fill in; and even officiating a few funeral services;
I have personally led others to Christ, including family members.
But I ended up backsliding completely out of church for over 5 years. I am back in church now, in fellowship with the Lord. I did NOT get saved again.
What am I missing in this video?

Paul is saying that the saved "take up their cross and follow CHRIST" everyday. It's a sanctification process. I don't hear him saying that we can lose our salvation, I do hear him saying if we are not continuing in CHRIST then we don't have saving faith in CHRIST. saving faith responds to the LORD both in heart and deed. Not to earn salvation, but working out our salvation as we become Christ-like. I'm happy you came back to follow CHRIST our Lord, David. Paul Washer is a Calvinist, and Calvinism is a false gospel. Please don't fall for it. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He lived the sinless life I could never live. I believe He shed His blood for me on the cross. I believe He was buried and rose again on the third day. That is the ONLY evidence I look for in a believer, the faith in the facts, to determine if he or she is a brother or sister in Christ. Repentance is a change of mind that places trust in Christ alone, no longer in ourselves, but realizing it's all Him and none of us. He IS the narrow way and the strait gate and few will be that find it because it's in our nature to want to back-load legalism into the Gospel, but that's not what the Gospel is. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. PERIOD!
There was a group of people Jesus spoke about in Matthew chapter 7, who came to him boasting, saying, "Lord, Lord didn't we do all these wonderful things in your name?". Jesus replied to them and said, "Depart from Me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you." Now, look at what you're saying in this comment. "I'm saved because I was a song leader, I'm saved because I was a church bus driver, I'm saved because I was a lay preacher, I did this, I did that..." None of that is going to get you into heaven, our best works are filthy rags and iniquity. None of that is evidence of salvation, even atheists can do all that and can reform their fallen flesh; they do it all the time! I'm so sick of pharisee preachers like Washer ripping verses about "fruit" completely out of context and taking the focus off Christ and putting it onto ourselves.
If you've believed the Gospel (the Gospel of Christ, not the "gospel" of the Calvinists) then you are immediately sealed with the Holy Spirit according to Hebrews. Then you have eternal life, and eternal life isn't life on probation, it's eternal. He will never leave us nor forsake us, He is faithful even when we're unfaithful; we never lose fellowship with God. Church is NOT a building, it's the body of Christ here on earth, those who believe on Him alone. 99% of "churches" teach the gospel of Calvin or of Arminius, not the Gospel of Christ. Run, don't walk, from those churches and "preachers".
Please check out Dr. Ralph Yankee Arnold's channel, or Gregg Jackson, or Renee Roland. These people will give you the straight deal on salvation by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. And pray, asking the Lord to lead you out of any deception.

Brother who's righteousness are you relying on, what works, growth, or service is enough to ensure eternal life? No amount.
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us"
It is Christ's sanctification that secures our place in heaven. It is His righteousness that clothes us which secures our place in heaven. It is His blood that gives boldness to enter the holy of holies. Not our works. God requires perfection for those who look to their works to justify themselves.
"Cursed is he who does not continue to do all things written in the law" Brother you were born of God when you believed in Christ, you are now his child, you may have been disobedient but still his child. God's will is our sanctification but remember You are saved by grace, stay saved by grace and only accepted in the beloved. Be blessed

The thing non-Calvinists don't get about Calvinism is that the Calvinist recognizes that God knew all things even before He created anything. He knew even then who would be His. And He sent his Son to atone for them. (Because He knew that would be necessary because they would still sin.) There was never any point with the others. He was merciful to the others, yes, as He still provided His word, and He still sent the sun and rain. But He always knew how it would play out. They don't want God - at least, not as He is. And, as absolutely horrifying as getting what they want is, He is going to let them have it.
There is no getting around predestination with an all-knowing God. He always knew.

I heard somewhere that even the greatest men of God had doubts. Sometimes God leaves us alone to see how we react and how we conduct ourselves by what He thought us until that moment. Like when God let satan test Job in the Old Testament. Faith is the continuous choosing of God and fighting yourself in the moments of doubt and hardship. I am no pastor or a theology student but from what I read in the Bible and what I experienced with God is that sometimes He will let us in moments where we can choose to doubt or to keep having faith. Now think about it like this, you walk with God by holding hands and He will let go of your hand, will you try and reach for Him or will you say that He left you and now you won’t lift your hand to try and hold Him. I know how you feel, you feel sad for not trusting in Him because you would be sad too if someone you love wouldn’t trust you back when they should trust you fully and you’d be heartbroken for that. You’re have love in you, and how the Bible says “Those who don’t know love, don’t know God.” Just be strong and don’t forget, He will never abandon you and whatever wrong you could do if you’re honest and come to Him, you’ll always be welcomed with love. God bless you my dear brother. Be brave and courageous. ❤️

The only way to be saved is to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. It doesn’t matter how much you go to church, it doesn’t matter how much money you tithe, How kind you are or how “good” you are, if you are not saved then you do not have eternal salvation. End of story. Trust the Lord.

@Rafael you test yourself against the sufficient word of God. You dont DO THE NEW TESTAMENT TO EARN SALVATION but you use it as a mirror to say is my life reflective of what im reading. Am I behaving like the Corinthian church and living lavishly or sinfully in the freedom Christ has bought me? I should repent. Am I under the bondage of sin? Am I confessing my sins to Christ? Heres a big one. Am I faithful to being in a church body? The church is a gift to the believer and we're called to be part of it, even if just in a local body. It is there to keep us accountable to one another in our sin and to have fellowship. Jesus had his disciples and friends, Paul had his many churches and Timothy and many he communed with, the churches Paul wrote to were all part of church bodies. Is it the building? No. We're called to be part of a bible teaching, scripture believing church so that we can be strengthened, taught, faithful, and accountable to one another. If youre not in a body, join one, and if that one isnt convicting you of sin or proclaiming Christ or acting as its supposed to, find a new one. God left us with the church for a reason. Its the hospital for Christians still living in a sinful world. Its not for nonbelievers to get saved as its primary purpose. Its meant for us to be strengthened and to worship and to also be vulnerable. Confess your sins to one another was NOT a suggestion, and our walk, while personal in nature, is one where we're called to be a part of Christ's bride, the church.

It starts with faith, James chapter 1. Accept Jesus as your Lord and redeemer. Confess sins to God, were all sinners. If you dont have faith, pray for it. In gospel of Matthew, a man begged Jesus to heal his son who had demonic spirit. Problem with this person, he lacked faith. He asked Jesus to help him with his faith, he was honest about it. Jesus did heal the boy. Second Timothy chapter 2, study to show yourself approved. A soldier doesn't get entangled in worldly affairs, his/her goal is to please God, the commander of the army. How can Jesus use someone that's biblically illiterate, to plant seeds for God, share truth with lost souls. John chapter 15, Jesus is the vine, Christians are the branches, the branches are pruned to produce more fruit. Your to increase in knowledge and wisdom of God's word. That's why Christian people study the bible, to help lost sheep. If someone rejects the seed you planted, dont waste time on that person, move on. If someone asks for help or questions, its green light. God can open doors and close doors. Only God can germinate that seed, a servant plants seeds and God decides if it germinates. God wants productive servants. If a employee is lazy and idle at a job, he/she is stealing time from their boss. At some point the boss will fire that person. God gives person many years to come full circle, after 40 or 50 years, your fired, unprofitable. God is fair, it's the lazy person who threw it away.

How are we able to be sure that we have come to KNOW Jesus(i.e. saved)? Many claim to KNOW Jesus but they deny him by their WORKS, just like Paul said in Titus 1:16.
They profess to KNOW God, but they deny him by their WORKS. They are detestable, DISOBEDIENT, unfit for any good WORK.
And John tells us in 1 John 2:3-4 about the people that truly KNOW Jesus.

3 And by this we KNOW that we have come to KNOW him, if we keep his commandments.
4 Whoever says “I KNOW him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
So, the Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple.
The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ.
By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not. These people do not really KNOW Christ.

There is an inconsistency in the fact that full assurance of salvation (for Cornelius and his household) occurred on the same day that they all heard and received the gospel message shared by the Apostle Peter. It did not take an extended period of time accompanied by a LIFESTYLE change to properly ascertain the salvation status of Cornelius and friends. I think the point that Paul is trying to make is that once you are truly saved you will begin to grow in your faith and repent daily. So yes they were all saved because their minds were changed and the began lives as mew creatures (I believe with part of this change came daily repentance and the growth of faith). So yes he would agree that once you are truly saved you can rest assured. But those that are truly saved constantly strive for holiness out of our love and deep desire to please God. I dont believe the speaker would disagree with what you are saying i just believe he is adding more to it.

@@marthafrederick5109 i think the reason he says that so you know you are saved is from what he mentioned in the video. Many many people have surface level Christianity that doesnt actually go deeper than “oh i said i believed in jesus 10 years ago so i am saved”. There will be many that say Lord Lord and God will tell them he never actually knew them. Another way of putting it is James 2:19 “You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that- and shudder.” I do agree that once someone is truly repentant they are saved because when God begins a good work in someone he will always finish it. Anyways this is my 2 cents on this conversation. Cheers👍🏻

HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE SAVED
    1. You have a conviction in your heart by the holy spirit.
    2. You have a feeling of Joy that cannot be explained in words because your name is in the book of life.
    3. You have a feeling that the World is nothing but Christ.
    4. You have a feeling that you have something greater than what you have presently.
    5. You have a feeling of PEACE within you.
    6. You have a feeling of a newborn.
    7. You have your polluted thought cleaned by the washing of water- spiritual.
    8. You begin to see things DIFFERENTLY (that is you are not easily angered anymore, you are quick in forgiving, you are quick in admitting that you are wrong anytime you have done something wrong).
    9. You have a TESTIMONY in your mouth that you are saved and TESTIMONY in your heart to speak about your new LOVE- Jesus.
    10. You have a belief like that of PAUL for you to live is Christ(holiness inward and outward) and to die is gain( eternal life).
    11. You have a sense of belonging (heavenly- feeling you are no longer the same person).
    12. You begin to detest somethings( worldly- music, porn, falsification of nature- false eyelashes, false finger nails, false skin- bleaching, false lips, false hair etc).

Repentance biblically means Metanoia, change your mind, to go from believing in yourself and what you think will save you, to trusting in the one true Savior Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on the cross. "What must I do to be saved?" Believe in the name of Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved. It wasnt repent of all your sins and be saved, it wasnt repent of your sins and be baptized, or be perfectly obedient to the law and love God perfectly and love your neighbor perfectly. That is a works based salvation. If “the life we live” determines our eternal destiny,” (not Jesus’ perfect life, death for all our sins, burial, and resurrection from the dead on the third day),” then salvation is by works!! Lordship salvationists have a problem with Grace, they think you have to work for your salvation and to keep it.
HE is our justification, sanctification and glorification. All of our sins past, present and future were forgiven at the cross.

@nikkisfurkids5783 Don't embrace or listen to the false teachings of Paul Washer who is a FALSE TEACHER preaching the false gospel of Calvinism/Lordship Salvation which is WORKS SALVATION.

@nikkisfurkids5783 Sin is transgression of the law of God, but we are not under the law of God for salvation, we are under GRACE.

@nikkisfurkids5783 Here are Biblical examples of Godly people in the New Testament whom the apostle Paul affirmed are still saved despite their sinful deeds.

@nikkisfurkids5783 1) Samson is a true man of God and at the same time a FORNICATOR - Judges 16:1 who led Israel for 20 years - Judges 15:20, Judges 16:31.

If this Calvinism Paul Washer teaches is true, it means that God creates disposable people, people without any hope,” “It means that God not only allows, but micro-manages and sovereignly ordains, every war and every abortion and every rape of a child. It means that Calvin’s god does not love the world; he hates it because it is full of “totally depraved” individuals having apparently created us that way for his own glorification, or is it for his amusement? If Calvinism is true , it means that if that dying child that you held in your arms was not among the elect, then God did not love her. He never had any intention of loving her. She was nothing to Him. In fact, he would delight and find glory in her eternal torture in hell.”
Who are really created in the image of then, God or satan?
“And whenever I raise these points with Calvinists, all they can say is that I should be more grateful for my own salvation! It’s like, ‘as long as my eternal destiny is secure, as long as my life is all planned out and taken care of by God, who gives a damn about family, friends or anyone else!’ How can you be okay with that? How can anyone be okay with that? Why do I feel find this heresy morally offensive?” Only the devil should be at ease with such an abomination!
According to Calvinism the lost hate God because God first hated them. They won't say it that way, but that's what it boils down to.
Romans 16 : 17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. John was talking to the Pharisees and Sadducee's that came to his baptism.

I therefore take his warnings about losing our individual souls very very seriously. Because the simple truth is that Jesus is EXACTLY who he says he is, namely God himself and the consequences of NOT believing in him are very serious indeed. Jesus said if we do not put our faith in him before we die, we will be separated from him forever in a place Jesus himself called Hell. Just think of the shock at the moment we die when we find out Jesus was indeed God, and the die is cast. There will be no second chances. You can be saved if you have 2 seconds of a life with grief of repentence for your sins. If you die repented you will be saved probably through purgatory so It's never too late to ask forgivenes while you still breath. The only danger stays if you don't want to regret for your sins.

The Father is not the saviour, that is the role of the Son, The Messiah, The Lord Jesus, The Christ!
They are taught by the Father as this verse shows: and the Father sends them that believe that God exists to the Son.
It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. John 6:45
So when Jesus said that: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. John 6:44 It is simple saying that the Father makes all men aware that God exists and sends those who respond to Jesus.
BUT! not all men will respond even though they have no excuse. They know God exists but they made their choice.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools Romans 1:21-22
Paul verifies this to Timothy: This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. 1 Timothy 2 : 3-6
The Holy Spirit comes into play in a special way only once a person whom the Father sends to the Son for salvation. Those who willingly desire to be right with God. Those who Repent and are Baptized.
JESUS John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus does not love you. He will reject you, and you know it. Luke 6: 21-23 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’

    Churches of men, also called christians, hear The Truth regarding the matter from your Redeemer Himself whom you call Jesus. He has spoken to our generation, more of His Volumes is found at the bottom of this comment;
"1/7/10 From YahuShua HaMashiach, Our Lord and Savior
The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy
For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear
Thus says The Lord: Beloved ones, I am The Answer you search for, The Truth you seek - The Only Way, The Only Truth, The Only Life. Apart from Me there is nothing of any value; apart from Me there is no life. Therefore who you choose, not what you choose, is the answer. For who you choose defines what you do. And whosoever chooses another, and not Me in truth, has chosen themselves, and has done according to their own will.
Thus those who embrace My words
Have taken the first steps in the
Knowledge of how to truly abide in Me...
    Indeed, those who have written
    This wisdom upon their heart
    Have already crossed the threshold...
    I am The Lord."
    ~
"2/4/10 From YahuShua HaMashiach, Our Lord and Savior
The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy
For The Lord’s Little Flock, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear
This question was asked of The Lord: Lord, by putting You first, and refusing to take part in the modern holidays of men, are we dishonoring our parents and family who say we should take part?
Thus says The Lord YahuShua: Beloved, a sincere desire to be free from the iniquity of this world is good and well-pleasing to The Lord. For one who truly loves Me seeks to please Me. And those in whom I dwell will run from these holidays of men, which I hate, despising them. Yet one who remains in disagreement with My Word in the Volumes can in no wise be gathered, for they have denied Me. And any who reject My Word, in favor of the doctrines and traditions of men, embrace that which runs contrary to Me.
For I tell you the truth, anyone who refuses, disagrees with, or speaks against My Letters or My prophet has rejected Me in favor of their own way. Pride has ensnared them, and arrogance has become their close friend. Behold, they have embraced the world and its evil ways, and seek not the approval of their Father in Heaven, but of men. And all who seek the approval of men must walk through the valley with them; and all who remain friends of the world have made themselves enemies of God, as it is written.[1] Therefore all lovers of the world shall surely be left in it; they shall not escape! For assuredly, I say to you, this world shall be shaken and the glory of men shall be broken down! And in like manner shall all those left in the world be humbled, severely abased - many broken and uplifted, and many more broken and condemned, says The Lord.
    Therefore concerning these holidays
    Of men, which I hate...
Let all those who have received
    The love of the Truth depart from them;
Let the division be made clear[2]...
And let those who say they know Me,
Yet make no effort to pick up their
Cross and follow Me,[3] bear the weight
Of their burden in the Day of The Lord.
Therefore, concerning the question of breaking one Commandment in favor of another, the answer is this: I AM FIRST, of which The Commandments also testify. For those who truly love Me seek to obey My voice, and those who obey My voice have also fulfilled The Moral Law. For I am, and have always been the goal at which the Torah aims.[4] And all those in whose heart I am foremost serve Me without constraint, seeking always to place Me first, above all else. For these walk in My ways, doing those same things I did. They do not add to the Word which I have commanded them, nor do they take away from it. Behold, they keep The Commandments of God, as He commanded them and as they are written, and not as the churches of men would have them be."

Scaremongering preaching and wrong doctrine for salvation. Salvation is about the finished work by Christ at the cross. Not about anythin you do.
Once you believe and trust in His work for you and not your own good works for Him you are saved and spiritually baptized into his death and risen to life with him. You are sealed with The holy Spirit and set in heavenly places and secure in Christ. You will still be a sinner in your flesh but God has put away your sins and no longer remembers them.
Salvation is a gift and so is your belief in Him and His Son.
In my opinion with his angry speech Paul Waher here destorts and complicates everything about salvation and being a Christian.
Contiually repenting of your sins? No, you are sorry for your sins and under the grip of his abundant grace and thank Christ that he has already forgiven the sins once and for all 2000 years ago.
When you were saved God has started the good work in you and given us grace and not condemnation. You can only be thankful about what a loving God we have. He is no longer angry, Paul Washer. So relax a bit. He just wants everyone to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Those who do not come to believe in this life or never have heard about Jesus, will meet him in their ressurection and hear his voice. Like the Bible says ... and every man shall bow his knee willingly and confess his name in consent! God will have everyone saved , the Bible says and what he purposes to do he will complete to perfection in due time, because he is a sovereign God. But that is a different theme...
    Peace and grace.

@@Mic1904 There are lots of verses in the Bible that states this and that every man will ultimately be saved. Organised religion or "Christendom" has failed to see this , and instead made God a small and losing God, unable to restore and save most of his creation.
God says he will have everyone saved and of course what God intends to do, he in due time will perform to perfection.
Do not take my words for it to be the the truth though. I am not a scholar, anyway.
If you are interested though, I will recommend the videos and internet channel of Grace Bible Community Church.
Pastor Rodney Beaulieu of this grace church opened my eyes to a new
understanding of the Bible and the
salvation of all through a series of videos
      about this.
A good start would be to watch the video
      "Gods Masterplan For His Creation"
If you are interested , though.

Well, you do not seam to bother much.I recommended a video for you which would present and elaborate a lot of verses about the salvation of all...
Anyway here are two verses you can ponder on for a start:
      Jesus saying in John 12:32
      - When I am lifter up from the earth,I will draw everyone to me.
      Paul saying in 1.Tim. 4:10-12
-For therefore we suffer reproach, because we trust in living God,who is the Savior of all men, specially of those who believe.
      These things command and teach.

    • @Mic1904
      @Mic1904 Рік тому

@@karekvangarsnes3169 Two immediate issues here. "Because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those that believe". If, as you say, God will save all men, then in what possible way is He the Saviour 'especially' in a unique, different or special way of those that believe?
Secondly, the following verses - while this might seem like a number of verses and questions, they're really only on one main theme, which is how can the Bible describe people going to some manner of eternal punishment if they are saved:
      John 5:29
"and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment."
_(Some resurrected to life, but contrasting with some who are resurrected to judgment - which is clearly distinguished as something different from the 'life' that the others get - what is that judgment?)_
      2 Thessalonians 1:9
"These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,"
_(How can their destruction be eternal and away from God, if they will be saved. I can even understand if you claimed this verse was about annihilationism where sinners are destroyed entirely, but either way, how can their penalty and destruction be eternal if they are saved?)_
      Matthew 25:41
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."
_(Why will anyone be departing from God, and departing into eternal fire - whether eternal conscious suffering or annihilation and total destruction - if all are to be saved?)_
      John 3:36
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
_(Why? If all will be saved, why will they not see life? Even if you believe people must be purified first, why doesn't this verse say, 'whoever does not obey the Son shall not immediately see life, and the wrath of God remains on him for a time'. Why does God's wrath _*_remain_*_ , and why will they not see life, if they are saved?)_
      Daniel 12:2
"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."
_(Why is their shame and contempt everlasting, if they will be saved? And why are only some described as having everlasting life? The everlasting shame and contempt of some is clearly contrasted with the everlasting life of others)_

I know that I’m saved because I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. And so is anyone else who believes this. I don’t know about you, but Mr. Washer here wants you to really look at yourself instead of at Christ. I mean it sucks to stare at yourself and see how imperfect you are. It’s depressing. And look at Paul Washer’s picture on this video. Why is he so angry? Where’s the joy of his salvation? I don’t see it.
