He Will Hold Me Fast (Lyrics Video)
He Will Hold Me Fast
Songwriter(s): Ada Habershon, Matthew Merker
Lyrics:
VERSE 1
When I fear my faith will fail,
Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail,
He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold
Through life’s fearful path;
For my love is often cold;
He must hold me fast.
REFRAIN
He will hold me fast,
He will hold me fast;
For my Savior loves me so,
He will hold me fast.
VERSE 2
Those He saves are His delight,
Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in His holy sight,
He will hold me fast.
He’ll not let my soul be lost;
His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost,
He will hold me fast.
VERSE 3
For my life He bled and died,
Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied;
He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life,
He will hold me fast
‘Till our faith is turned to sight
When He comes at last!

    Sanctification, dear friends, does not consist in God improving the old man in us. BUT. I have been bought free from my old nature by the death of Jesus. In Jesus I am dead from sin. And the sanctification, (living a Christian life) - it is because I consider myself dead from sin. I must not regard sin as dead, for it is not dead, it is still in me, far too much. But in Jesus we are deceased from that AND we have to count on that, believe that. That is sanctification. If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. And you have that righteousness in Jesus. If you have not learned the right doctrine, you will not live right.

    Sin must overflow and become exceedingly great. By the law, I lost faith in myself and all that I am (myself). my own conversion, my own repentance, my own obedience, my own surrender to God, my own abilities, my own boldness, my own faith in God, my own confession of sin. Notice that it is all my own that I have lost faith in. To then get it all in One Substitute Person. Christ Jesus. - My repentance, righteousness, holiness, obedience, my abilities, my boldness, my conversion, my surrender to God, You have everything in One Substitute person. The Existing One or The Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He Is your salvation.

    How are we able to be sure that we have come to KNOW Jesus(i.e. saved)? Many claim to KNOW Jesus but they deny him by their WORKS, just like Paul said in Titus 1:16. They profess to KNOW God, but they deny him by their WORKS. They are detestable, DISOBEDIENT, unfit for any good WORK. And John tells us in 1 John 2:3-4 about the people that truly KNOW Jesus. 3 And by this we KNOW that we have come to KNOW him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I KNOW him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. So, the Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple. The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ. By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not. These people do not really KNOW Christ.

    Let each man work out his own salvation with arrogance and self-righteous condemnation (Philippians 2:12). For any man who thinks he knows anything is wise in his own deceits (1 Corinthians 8:2). ??? What did I just say??? A couple brothers in Jesus who know. Prayers, dear sirs.

    No where in the Bible does it says repent of your sins to be saved! Lordship salvation all my self-righteousness is works, anyone can Love, be obedient and even believe and so on, is my salvation forever? IF YOU TRUST IN THE FREE GRACE OF GOD and the finished work of the cross, John 19:30 and if the answer is YES, then you are SAVED, sealed with the Holy Spirit never to be lost... “Many will come on that day saying Lord Lord...God will say depart from me “Matt 7:22...Jesus filled the Ten commandments he paid the price, nothing needs to be done by us except believe and trust, YES we would want to live a life as one who is showing God's love leaving in the new self (which cannot sin) knowing that old man will be hot on our heels to make us stumble but when we do we take it to the Lord in prayer. To many popular preaches are adding and mudding the waters to the SIMPLE message of salvation by GRACE through FAITH. Our sins have been paid for in that moment we repented, "METANOIA" (change of mind / way / direction / unbelief to belief) onetime event no sins needed to be confessed knowing who we are in the face of God and what Jesus did on the cross because of our sin brings a Godly sorrow that leads to salvation knowing where a sinner going to Hell and believing and trusting that Jesus took our sins upon himself and paid the debt in full. The book of Romans speaks so clearly of the curse under the Law and trying to leave by the Law you nullify the work of the cross-making Jesus's sacrifice worthless. Paul's struggle with the flesh in Romans 7, and understanding the curse of the Law in Galatians 3, Romans 3 speaks volumes on this seems to be always ignored when being preached on the life of a saved person that if we are not leaving a sinless perfection life are made to fill guilty and less of a Christian and that you can lose your salvation, BUT "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ" Romans 8:1. Jesus said you need to be like a little child to enter the gates of heaven Matt 18:2-5, meaning trusting in your heavenly Father just like a Child trust in his worldly Father for everything for the very survival of life how much more our Heavenly Father will do the same, God only wants our Faith, trust and belief in him not our works or..."self-righteousness which are filthy rags", Isaiah 64:6 Christ alone, the greatest work was done on the cross we are dead to sin it's our choice to walk in the flesh or spirit each day our new self (Holy Spirit) cannot sin it's done onetime event past, present and FUTURE...It's finished John 19:30, Satan's lie is to muddy the waters on the simple Gospel message to Christians and non-Christians which is Grace plus. Faith alone, Christ alone TRUST and believe you don't even have to stand on your head to believe (you can if you want) just BELIEVE and TRUST

    I am a baby christian. I have had times when I think if I do this for God then he should bless me financially. Then I realize just how blessed I am just to have the opportunity to praise God. People are so undeserving of his grace and mercy. We are so undeserving that we could not even be in his presence. We have to get a new glorified body just to get to heaven. I agree Justin. We are 100 percent bad.

    I know Pentecostal Churches that are Biblical, pursue holiness, are repentant and all good things but the title suggests that Bethel etc are Pentecostal while I as a Pentecostal know they are not of God. One error of McArthur and Peters is not that they condemn properity preachers and word of faith etc but include all Pentecostal, Evangelicals and Charismatics as the same. I fing it even a bit blasphemous to completely rule out any operation of the Holy Spirit - as they are cessationists. Could it be that they fear what (better put WHO) they do not know? Agreed there is sadly a lot of strange fire but also genuine, but they never dare touch that subject. I enjoy most of their biblical and doctrinal teachings but in generalising they hinder the Holy Spirit and mock me and many many others. I gladly forgive them but have stopped watching their contributions on YT. I hope br Paul is not of the exact same opinion but somehow I fear he does. I would not mind a respectful and loving discussion here but not to prove how wrong or right I am. I know Lord Jesus knows me, cause He is that good for a depraved person I still am. But He convict me of where I go wrong and little by little He helps me to change. I will to change as I repent daily, but it is His Spirit who gives me the supernatural ability to leave sin behind. When I fail and I do often. He picks me up, shows me my wrong, I sincerely confess and He forgives and day by day I overcome sin step by step and when a certain sin has been erradicated He shows me the next. Not condemning me with an overflow of guilt. He shows me by His Word and insight of it by the Spirit and also through preaching to strive and live to serve and get the mind of Christ. I fear the forementioned names might have become a bit religieous and stuck in their respective tradition. Pentecostal does not mean our aim is to just speak in tongues, many even don’t when there is no interpretation. We believe Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and foreven and the great commission can and may be accompanied by power and wonders but solely to magnify Him and not His ministers. Even though it states His ministers a flaming fire, when it is all to the Glory of God it is Holy and not strange.

    Paul washer is a heretic... Once you BELIEVE on Christ n that he was crucified innocent in our place was buried and rose again on the third day according to scriptures YOUR SAVED N REMAIN SAVED... anyone who thinks they don't sin anymore is crazy. W all sin n will continue to sin into we are taken out of this flesh. Being sad, or lonely or frustrated or angry is sin, eating pork is sin, anything not kosher is sin, make up is sin, worrying about a bill or if your kids will make it home safe is sin, accidentally giving the wrong answer to someone is sin(you didn't mean to lie but you still lied) 1st off repentance means to change your mind NOT being sorry, change your mind from believing on whatever you believe n believe on Christ alone. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. King David was a murderer and adulterer but was righteous in Gods eye BECAUSE he believed God. Christ told us NOTHING will pluck us from his hand not even our own sin. You have to understand how to rightly divide n know who is being spoken to n of in the bible, not every verse is speaking on eternal salvation. Faith works is dead right? This was James explaining to saved ppl that in the EYES OF OTHER MEN they won't blv you're saved n youre useless to spreading the gospel if you aren't showing good works n good fruit to the ppl we are trying to get saved, is not about eternal salvation... Salvation is not of works but of faith. What should i do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. If you have to be a good Christian n live right to be saved than which sins are still ok to commit? How many sins are okay? Wether you are a rapist or ate a hot dog today we ARE EQUALLY LOST in God's eyes. Salvation is a free gift from God we receive through faith, is that simple. And yeah it may not seem fair you've worked so hard n been so good n that drug addict theif will be right by your side in heaven bcuz you're both saved but it's Gods rules not ours. If you had to children n one was perfect never disobeyed did great in school n became a doctor n lived a good moral life while the other was always lying got into drugs is in n out of prison would you love one more? Would you choose to save one n not the other? If there was a way to save both would you not? Technically we can live any was we want n still be saved BUT someone truly saved is filled with the holy spirit n wants to do right bcuz God does punish us n it feels horrible to disappoint our father n disrespect Christ's sacrifice. It weighs on us. Christ did it all on his own. Worrying about it you're saved is a sin, see how silly works salvation is.

    If some random guy on the street wants to talk to me about Christ and I tell him that I am already saved and he asks me: "what does that mean?", "how do you know?", "are you sure?" I am going to ask him: "do you doubt the work of the Holy Spirit? Do you doubt that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was sufficient enough to save me?" That's what I would respond with. I believed and still believe in Jesus, I got saved when I was 12 years old, the Holy Spirit drew me to Christ and I obeyed the call of the Holy Spirit, I prayed on the altar and I said: "Jesus save me, Jesus please save me" this prayer that I prayed was not pretty, it was not well worded, I did not know a lot of scripture at 12 years old but I knew that the gospel had been preached in power and demonstration of the Spirit and that I needed to be saved and I know that when I prayed I placed my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and according to His Holy Word and the witness of the Holy Spirit in my heart that I am saved, Jesus did not save me because of anything that I did but because of what He did for me on the cross, all that I did was fall down on my knees and surrender myself to him.

      I'm sure you are living a life of repentance from sin though, right? Even though we struggle with our flesh we continue to repent every day. What brother Paul is talking about is are the masses of people in the world right now that claim the name of Jesus as a free ticket to live in as much sin as they please.

      @@wojak91 Sanctification is a process that lasts through the whole life of a believer, an immature Christian who does not yet know what all the bible says about how we should live after we have been saved may come to the conclusion that because they are saved it is then okay to live however they want to live. My dad was one of these people, he got saved at a young age and then for ten years lived as though he never knew Christ, he eventually realized what a mistake he had made and returned to the Lord's house, now he is a preacher. It is our choice after that we have been saved whether or not we are going to walk in paths of righteousness and submit to the Lord daily asking for forgiveness for our sins or whether we are going to go our own way and refuse to feed the inner man who desires the things of God.

    I know that I’m saved because I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. And so is anyone else who believes this. I don’t know about you, but Mr. Washer here wants you to really look at yourself instead of at Christ. I mean it sucks to stare at yourself and see how imperfect you are. It’s depressing. I genuinely and sincerely, from the bottom of my soul, believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, God the Son himself. I therefore take his warnings about losing our individual souls very very seriously. Because the simple truth is that Jesus is EXACTLY who he says he is, namely God himself and the consequences of NOT believing in him are very serious indeed. Jesus said if we do not put our faith in him before we die, we will be separated from him forever in a place Jesus himself called Hell. Just think of the shock at the moment we die when we find out Jesus was indeed God, and the die is cast. There will be no second chances. That is why I send these messages in the hope that they help someone to find the truth. Jesus is the Son of God, believe and be saved

      So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:17 Faith without works is dead. Why ? Because good works is evidence for being saved not what saves us but what comes after we are saved, the Holy Spirit is recreating us into Christ's image until we meet God. @@DennisBonich The verb for save is sōzō. It means "to preserve or rescue from danger." That danger can be earthly or eternal depend- ing on the context. Context is key! Sōzō appears five times in James. What kind of salvation is it? Two uses are absolutely about earthly salvation! Salvation from sickness (James 5:15) Salvation from death (James 5:20) And if you look at the context, so are the other three: Salvation from physical destruction (James 4:12) Salvation from poverty (James 2:14) Salvation from the deadly effects of sin (James 1:21; cf. v 15) Conclusion: Paul and James did not contradict each other! While Paul taught that eternal salvation is by grace, through faith, apart from works (Eph 2:8-9), James taught that earthly salvation depends on works. God cares about both!

      @nikkisfurkids5783 Don't embrace or listen to the false teachings of Paul Washer who is a FALSE TEACHER preaching the false gospel of Calvinism/Lordship Salvation which is WORKS SALVATION. If you want to be saved, BELIEVE on Christ and His finished work on the cross. The Bible says that eternal life is a free gift, that is not of our works - Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23. Salvation is a one time event that saves a person in a NANOSECOND for all eternity - John 5:24. Acts 16:30-31 - 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.” Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast. Romans 3:20 - Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. Romans 3:28 - For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Romans 4:2-6 - 2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about-but not before God. 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works. Romans 9:31-32 - but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? BECAUSE THEY PURSUED IT NOT BY FAITH BUT AS IF IT WERE BY WORKS. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. Romans 10:4 - For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 11:6 - And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. Galatians 2:16 - know that a person IS NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, BECAUSE BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. Galatians 2:21 - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing. Galatians 3:6 - So also Abraham “BELIEVED God, and it was CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Galatians 5:4 - You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Titus 3:5 - HE saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Genesis 15:6 - Abraham believed the Lord, and HE CREDITED IT TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Hope this helps, God bless!

      @nikkisfurkids5783 Sin is transgression of the law of God, but we are not under the law of God for salvation, we are under GRACE. Christ did what no man on the face of this earth could ever do, and that is fulfill the law of God in absolute sinless perfection - Matthew 5:17-18. It is Christ's imputed righteousness that justifies a person positionally before God, that is, His perfect fulfillment of the law, and His blood sacrifice and death on the cross. We all still commit sin by breaking the law of God in one way or another after we are saved, and that includes ME. We are not under the law for SALVATION. If we break the law, we will no doubt suffer the consequences including chastisement from God and other societal consequences, BUT we are still saved. After a person is saved, if the person goes out and commits a crime and gets caught, the person will no doubt suffer the earthly consequences of his/her actions including prison time and chastisement from God, BUT the person is still SAVED. Again, we are NOT under the law for salvation, but under the law because we live in a world that upholds the law which maintains order in society and if anyone breaks those laws, there will be consequences. If we commit adultery, we will no doubt suffer the earthly consequences and be subject to God's temporal judgment, BUT WE ARE STILL GOD'S CHILDREN. There are scores of saved pastors and lay people who commit adultery, but that does not mean they will "lose their salvation" or mean "they were never saved to begin with", if that's what you're thinking. Too many people let Calvinism and Arminianism contaminate their doctrine because of the prevalence of these 2 false doctrines that have permeated all the churches within mainstream Christianity. Christ's blood atonement and death on the cross did not free us from sinning, but freed us from the penalty of sin which is ETERNAL CONDEMNATION in hell and the eventual Lake of Fire. Again, all SAVED Christians still sin AFTER they are saved. Saved Christians will be freed from the old sin nature on the very day of the Rapture, but for now we all still sin no matter what, no matter how hard we try not to. The OUTER MAN, which is the FLESH, the old SIN NATURE still resides in all of us where we all still sin EXPERIENTIALLY after we are saved (Romans 7:14-25, Galatians 5:13) whether its sins of omission that we are not aware of and deliberate sins that we do. The OUTER MAN, the FLESH, which is the old SIN NATURE will not be eradicated until Christ returns at the Rapture to take and TRANSFORM us into perfect, sinless, eternal bodies - 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Philippians 3:21, 1 John 3:2. Philippians 3:21 - Who shall change OUR VILE BODY, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. 1 John 3:2 - Beloved, now are WE ARE THE SONS OF GOD, and IT DOTH NOT YET APPEAR WHAT WE SHALL BE: but we know that, when he shall appear, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; for we shall see him as he is. However, we have not died to our old nature in this earthly life and have not died to sin at the moment of faith. The old nature still resides in all of us (the flesh, the OUTER MAN) and will not be eradicated until the very day of the Rapture when Christ personally comes to take and transform us. That is the whole point of Philippians 3:21, 1 John 3:2, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Again, we have NOT died to sin yet as we all still sin. That is why 1 John 1:8-10 and 1 John 2:1 was written. Our performance of good works before God is not in perfection as we all still sin AFTER our conversion. Our good works in this life contribute to the edification of others as PROFITABLE SERVICE - James 2:14-26, 1 John 3:17-18 and will earn us ETERNAL REWARDS at the future Judgment Seat of Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 when our earthly lives will be evaluated to determine the gain or loss of eternal rewards and the privilege of reigning with Christ in the Millennial kingdom - Revelation 2:26, Revelation 3:21, Luke 19:11-27. @nikkisfurkids5783 Here are Biblical examples of Godly people in the New Testament whom the apostle Paul affirmed are still saved despite their sinful deeds. The Corinthian Christians of the apostle Paul's time certainly would convince many people that they were "unsaved" or "had lost their salvation." Their lives were deplorable and were living in gross sin and immorality, but Paul affirmed the fact that they were saved in 1 Corinthians 3:1 as he addressed them as "brethren" that were "carnal babes in Christ". Paul would not have addressed them in that way if they were not saved. Paul addresses them as "brethren" in 1 Cor 2:1, as "brethren" and "carnal' "babes in Christ" in 1 Cor 3:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 4:6, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 10:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 11:2, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 12:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 14:20, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 15:1, as "brethren" in 1 Cor 15:58. (KJV) The above list in 1 Corinthians where Paul repeatedly addressed the Corinthian Christians as "brethren" is overwhelming evidence that these are saved people possessing eternal life. Paul would not have addressed them as "brethren" if they were not saved. When Paul addressed the Corinthian church they were living in sexual immorality, lawsuits, divisions, etc, at the very time when he wrote to them. Lordshippers just love to change the plain text and teach that Paul was referring to the Corinthians after they matured. NO, Paul was addressing and rebuking them in their present state while they were living in sin. It makes no logical sense for the apostle Paul to address and rebuke them if the Corinthians "grew" and matured. Paul addresses them as "Brethren" meaning they were saved, but he couldn't address them as spiritual and mature because they were not. They were saved, but CARNAL and BABES IN CHRIST who were still not growing as Paul said they were still drinking milk. 1 Corinthians 3:1 KJV - "And I, BRETHREN, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto CARNAL, even as unto BABES IN CHRIST." 1 Corinthians 3:2 - I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, YOU ARE STILL NOT READY. 1) 1 Corinthians 3:3 - there was ENVYING, STRIFE, and DIVISIONS among the Christians. 2) 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 - A CHRISTIAN MAN WAS HAVING SEX WITH HIS STEPMOTHER and consequently Paul pronounced judgment on this man in 1 Corinthians 5:5 where Paul says, "hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be SAVED on the day of the Lord". The Corinthian Christian's attitude regarding this man who was sleeping with his stepmother was one of PRIDE - 1 Cor 5:2 In 2 Corinthians 2:5-8, Paul gives an update on this man where we read that this man was chastened with CHURCH DISCIPLINE and that God had mercy on him and did not terminate his physical life. Paul instructs the church to forgive and comfort him so that he won't be overcome by excessive sorrow and to reaffirm their love and concern for him. 2 Corinthians 2:5-8 - But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was INFLICTED BY MANY. So that contrariwise ye ought rather to FORGIVE HIM, AND COMFORT HIM, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that ye would CONFIRM YOUR LOVE TOWARD HIM. 3) 1 Corinthians 4:18 - there was ARROGANCE among the Corinthian Christians. 4) 1 Corinthians 6:7-8 - THERE WERE CHRISTIANS TAKING OTHER CHRISTIANS TO COURT and there was CHEATING among them. 5) 1 Corinthians 7:2 - there was FORNICATION among the Christians. 6) 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 - there were Christians EATING SELFISHLY, and there was DRUNKENNESS at the Lord's Supper. Because of their selfish indulgence of food and getting drunk God brought about SICKNESS and PHYSICAL DEATH as punishment - 1 Cor 11:29-30. Scripture is clear that there are indeed carnal Christians that are saved. It's not good or spiritually edifying that they are living in sin. God will CHASTISE them because they are His children, but they are still saved - Hebrews 12:5-11. The book of 1 Corinthians confirms the reality of carnal Christians who were living in sin and Paul affirmed that they are eternally saved by addressing them as "sanctified in Christ Jesus" and "saints" in 1 Cor 1:2. Paul also made it clear that he would deal with those who were sinning in the Corinthian Church with DISCIPLINE/CHASTISEMENT. This, of course, was not a threat against their salvation and eternal security. They were in danger of chastisement from God for their sinful actions and behavior - 2 Corinthians 13:2. Paul had already pronounced chastisement on the man who was sleeping with his stepmother in 1 Corinthians 5:1-5. All the other sinning believers were in the same danger of chastisement from God just like the ones who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper - 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 and their consequent chastisement of sickness and premature physical death where their life spans were cut short - 1 Corinthians 11:29-30. 2 Corinthians 13:2 - I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others. It appears that Paul was warning the Corinthian believers about imminent chastisement from God if they didn't heed his warnings to them. In 1 Corinthians 11:29-30, it clearly states that God had already dealt with some of the Corinthian Christians who were eating selfishly and getting drunk at the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:20-22) by sending sickness and premature PHYSICAL DEATH where their life spans were cut short. Self-righteous Calvinists/Lordship Salvationists like PAUL WASHER and a host of others and Arminian/Lordship Salvationists will of course deliberately deny the existence of carnal Christians and would deliberately write off carnal Christians who are living in sin as "unsaved" or having "lost their salvation" despite overwhelming evidence from Scripture. Hope this helps, God bless!

      @nikkisfurkids5783 1) Samson is a true man of God and at the same time a FORNICATOR - Judges 16:1 who led Israel for 20 years - Judges 15:20, Judges 16:31. The Bible is clear that he saw a prostitute and spent the night with her and what is described in Mark 7:20-23 and Galatians 5:19 was in Samson's heart at that very moment. Samson's last prayer just before his simultaneous murder/suicide was NOT a prayer of repentance, but was a request to God to strengthen him so that he could get REVENGE on the Philistines for the loss of his 2 eyes. Then in Judges 16:28-30, Samson commits a simultaneous MURDER/SUICIDE.Yet Samson is listed as a Godly man of faith in Hebrews 11:32. Samson would not be listed there if he was unsaved. 2) KING DAVID is a true man of God who struggled with LIVE PORNOGRAPHY and no doubt at that moment had sexual lust in his heart (Mark 7:20-23, Galatians 5:19) as he watched Bathsheba take a bath from the roof of his palace and then gave in to the temptation and committed ADULTERY/MURDER - 2 Samuel 11:1-21. This happened despite the fact that King David had over 6 wives at the time - 2 Samuel 3:1-5, 2 Samuel 5:13. King David felt no conviction for his sins of adultery and murder because of the deliberate steps that he took to bring Bathsheba to him and then gave orders for the murder of her husband, Uriah the Hittite. God had to send Nathan the prophet to WAKE HIM UP - 2 Samuel 12. God chastised King David with a series of painful consequences for the rest of his life - 2 Samuel 12:10, but his eternal salvation was never in question. King David is a true man of God and is called the "man after God's heart" - Acts 13:22, but the deliberate steps that he took to bring Bathsheba to his palace obviously showed that King David felt NO CONVICTION. David sent an assistant to find out about her -2 Samuel 11:3 and was then informed that Bathsheba is MARRIED to Uriah the Hittite. Then despite knowing that fact about Bathsheba which should have deterred him, he instructs his assistants to bring her to him - 2 Samuel 11:4. Those chronological actions taken by David obviously shows that David felt no conviction about sleeping with another man's wife despite the fact that he was married to over 6 women at the time - 2 Samuel 3:1-5, 2 Samuel 5:13. King David had all the sex that he wanted, but it appeared that his many wives were not enough to satisfy him. He later takes Bathsheba to be one of his many wives adding to the list after murdering her husband, Uriah the Hittite - 2 Samuel 11:26-27. He then gets her pregnant again. There is a big contrast between King David and his sexual lust for Bathsheba in comparison with Joseph and Potiphar's wife. It is important to note that Joseph was SINGLE at that time when Potiphar's wife tempted him on a daily basis. However, Joseph had strong GODLY CONVICTION and refused to give in and because of his strong Godly conviction, the Lord blessed Joseph wherever he went. Both King David and Joseph were SAVED Godly men, but the only difference is that King David had a total lack of Godly conviction when it came to sexual sin, but Joseph had strong Godly conviction. 3) Lot is a man of God, but we read in Genesis 19:6-8 that Lot offers up his 2 daughters for SEX to the homosexuals who surrounded his house and in Genesis 19:31-36 we read that he has SEX WITH BOTH HIS DAUGHTERS GETTING THEM PREGNANT. This was clearly a case of INCEST. Yet Peter refers to Lot as a RIGHTEOUS MAN in 2 Peter 2:7-8 and Peter would not have referred to him as "RIGHTEOUS" if Lot was unsaved. 4) Moses is a man of God who committed the MURDER of an Egyptian - Exodus 2:12. 5) Noah is a man of God who got DRUNK and WENT NAKED in his tent - Genesis 9:21. 6) Jacob is a man of God who was also a SWINDLER as he kept all the best livestock for himself, but left all the weak and defective ones for his father in law Laban. Jacob and his mother Rebekah are both LIARS and DECEIVERS as they both deceived Isaac in stealing the blessing meant for Esau - Genesis 27:1-29. Jacob spoke LYING WORDS of deception to Isaac. 7) Abraham is a LIAR as he lied about his wife Sarah being his sister - Genesis 20:2. People in the Old Testament were saved the exact same way as people in New Testament times, otherwise the apostle Paul would not have quoted Genesis 15:6 in Romans 4:2-6, and Galatians 3:5-8 in support of SALVATION BY FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST ALONE APART FROM OUR WORKS. Galatians 3:5-8 - 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, OR BY BELIEVING WHAT YOU HEARD? 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced THE GOSPEL IN ADVANCE TO ABRAHAM: “All nations will be blessed through you.” Hope this helps, God bless!

    Paul Washer is a Calvinist. salvation to him means to be born predestined for heaven, the U of TULIP, unconditional election. he believes that God decided the future of all humanity in eternity's past, dividing it in 2 groups: elects and non elects. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. EVERYTHING IS DECIDED RIGHT HERE. an OBSERVABLE radical moral transformation from sinner to saint by the grace of God described in Titus 2:11, 12 means nothing. elects and non elects behave very similar, according to Calvinists. they use Rom. 7:15-20 to "prove" that. so you can't use holiness as the criteria that determines who is saved and who is not. the only assurance to a Calvinist is to be born with the lucky ticket E, elect. the non elect were predestined for hell before their birth and against their will. and will never get saved because Calvinist's god does not want to save them. he wants them to go to hell. he predestined them there! Calvinists sound biblical and speak with biblical terminology but they hide what they truly believe. if anyone is born a non elect predestined for hell, he is doomed. his sentence is irreversible. and will never get saved. this is Calvinism 101.

      @TAQ2Music Don't embrace or listen to the false teachings of Paul Washer who is a FALSE TEACHER preaching the false gospel of Calvinism/Lordship Salvation which is WORKS SALVATION.

      @TAQ2Music Sin is transgression of the law of God, but we are not under the law of God for salvation, we are under GRACE.

    @3:38 Paul Washer said this: "And the EVIDENCE that He has JUSTIFIED (saved) me is that He is now SANCTIFYING me. A person who can show no mark of the sanctifying work of God in their life has NO ASSURANCE that they have been JUSTIFIED (saved)!" Folks, this statement could not possibly be true in light of the day of Pentecost. 3000 people got saved in a single day (on the spot). There was no sanctification process to be evaluated in them, over that short period of time, yet they all were counted as SAVED. SANCTIFICATION COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE THE MAIN EVIDENCE OF SALVATION. WE WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE DAY OF PENTECOST AND ACTS CHAPTER 2 FROM THE BIBLE, IF IT WERE.

    A person commented on this post the following: "Perfect sermon! Good works and holy life is not a means of salvation, but they are the evidence of Salvation." I responded to this post with the following question: If good works and holy living are the evidence for salvation, how did the Apostles know that 3000 people got saved(on the spot) on the day of Pentecost, since there was not time enough for any of the 3000 to have engaged in holy living and the accumulation of good works? I look forward to your response 💫 ------------- I'm still waiting on a response. Therefore, I'll offer this question to whoever will respond. I look forward to anyone's response 💫 ------------- We'll be pushing 24 hours soon, and I still have not had anyone respond to answer this question. It's amazing how many people favor this message, yet cannot/will not answer this question. It's not a trick question folks. It's a clear and straightforward question. What each of you need to consider is that if you cannot answer this question, then it may very well be that this teaching is incorrect. 🛑

    No, you Pharisee - the evidence one is saved is that they believed the Gospel. Only God can see faith. YOU aren’t entitled to anything! God doesn’t want or need YOUR vouching for anyone based on “evidence” you’ve seen and deem sufficient. The Biblical evidence is the countless times in the BIBLE we’re told to believe. And that, if we believe, He will save us. Conversely, your Calvinistic, self righteous false doctrine of turning from sin and living perfectly holy until “the end” is BIBLICALLY wrong! It’s been debunked and destroyed. Don’t TALK TO US about the countless lives that are being destroyed by your false doctrine. People constantly doubting their own salvation instead of resting in God’s promise and HIS FINISHED WORK on the cross. Who do you think you are? Ever learning and never able to come to knowledge of the truth. By the way, Paul, repent is a change of mind, and in the case of salvation, going from trusting in ourselves or anything OTHER than Christ alone TO PUTTING OUR FAITH IN HIM ALONE. Unbelief to belief in Christ. So tell us, how can that be repeated day in and day out? It’s a one-time event. Tell all those liberals they should have listened.

Yes we are declared justified by faith, and we are redeemed. We are sanctified (set apart) Heb.10:10 "Once for all." But, there is a sanctification process throughout our life which assures us that we are indeed justified (1John 3:18-19). As believers we knew this shorty after receiving the Holy Spirit. it isnt.. faith without works is dead read james 2. what paul washer is explaining is after you are truly saved you become a new creature your heart and mind begin to change. your old desires are no longer your priority but isntead it is God. You start to repent and turn away from sin not because any of this saves you but because of what Christ did for you on the cross. this isnt works based salvation but a deeper explanation of what happens when someone is saved they turn away from sin they "repent" an active life style as repent isnt solely an after you sin activity but an every day activity. Example: tempted to look at porn instead you repent and turn to God for help you go into prayer or reading the bible. not because any of this saves you but because you are saved you do this.

For it is by grace that we have been saved through faith not of works it is the gift of God If it is by grace it is no longer on the merit of works otherwise grace is no longer grace. Let repentance and living for godliness be for the glory of God and his kingdom because you love him not because you need to do something to be saved but rather because you are already saved through what Christ Jesus has done on the cross. James 2 speaks on the profitability of your works unto others. While all things are lawful not all things are profitable. If your faith has no works then it is of no benefit for others who are not saved nor is it beneficial to yourself or fellow brothers it is dead.

    The sin nature is removed by the transforming work of the Holy Spirit when one is truly reborn. Jesus does not leave us in a fallen state because it would destroy us. Sin is spiritual harlotry. Sin can open doors that can't be closed. Some of the repercussions of sin over time are coldness or lukewarmness towards God, spiritual blindness, spiritual deafness, spiritual drunkedness, spiritual deception, spiritual darkness, bondage, demonic oppression or possession, mental instability, perversion, addiction, depression, desperation, indifference to God's rules and laws, false worship, insincerity, stunted spiritual growth, compulsions, weak moral standards, denial, idolotry, loss of boundaries, loss of direction, lack of wisdom, lack of control, lack of remorse, lack of accountability, lack of contentment, anger, arrogance, hypocrisy, apostasy, lust for immorality, restlessness, resentment and rejection of truth, resentment or mockery of holiness, denial and blasphemy against the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver us from the bondage of sin, stubbornness, callousness, carnality, a hardened heart, a loss of conscience, depravity, and enmity with God.

    If this Calvinism Paul Washer teaches is true, it means that God creates disposable people, people without any hope,” “It means that God not only allows, but micro-manages and sovereignly ordains, every war and every abortion and every rape of a child. It means that Calvin’s god does not love the world; he hates it because it is full of “totally depraved” individuals having apparently created us that way for his own glorification, or is it for his amusement? If Calvinism is true , it means that if that dying child that you held in your arms was not among the elect, then God did not love her. He never had any intention of loving her. She was nothing to Him. In fact, he would delight and find glory in her eternal torture in hell.” Who are really created in the image of then, God or satan? “And whenever I raise these points with Calvinists, all they can say is that I should be more grateful for my own salvation! It’s like, ‘as long as my eternal destiny is secure, as long as my life is all planned out and taken care of by God, who gives a damn about family, friends or anyone else!’ How can you be okay with that? How can anyone be okay with that? Why do I feel find this heresy morally offensive?” Only the devil should be at ease with such an abomination! According to Calvinism the lost hate God because God first hated them. They won't say it that way, but that's what it boils down to. Romans 16 : 17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.
