Slow light is the opposite of scary. Sure, it retains some melody lines from scary bois (Requiem for ravenholm) but its actually really calm. It's a huge wave of relief as you step out into the morning sun, finally free of that hellhole they call ravenholm.
Singularity (or Traveling Through Limbo, as named in Half-Life 1) was the scariest one for me. it's one of those video game tracks that makes me feel like I'm going insane. the ambient static and distortions combined with the overall buildup and suspense makes it perfect for capturing a horrific moment.
So, you're creeped out by normal ambient songs like Particle ghost, Escape Array, Eine Kleiner Elevator, No one rides for free, Slow light? All the other songs besides those are actually creepy.

He never left it appears. On wiki it says he has been working for Valve since 98.
